mine mostly came from selling old letters, and also a bunch of bags of win that i happened to buy right before they stopped selling them in the cash shop and shot up in value.
i'm usually really horrible at saving large chunks of gold, but i was saving for an elderspark cosplay, which requires payment in pure. so i sold enough to make the payment, but didn't win a slot. and at that point i was so close i just pretty much forced myself not to spend until i reached the mil mark.
now i'm hoarding for my elderspark cosplay and an soa goddess.
