"I'm in love with your potential

...today Farah is {a bit more sunshine-y}.

I'm in love with what you should be, baby."

Pearll's apology finally sunk in. She'd never been really angry with Pearll in the first place, and so as Pearll hugged her she sincerely returned the affection. Things were finally starting to fall into place. A few minutes with her best friend seemed to have cleared up quite a bit of her overwhelmed mind. She probably would kick Tyler's a** later for having the nerve to imply that the only reason she was acting this way was because of a guy. It was over a guy who'd hurt a member of her pack. That was another kick in the a**. Pearll was definitely a part of this pack, no matter what her past had looked like. And we don't let go of the blood sucker's losing control of themselves. Another kick in the a**. Farah sighed deeply.

“Farah, I’m really, really, really sorry. Words can never express how sorry I feel for hurting your feelings,” Pearll whispered. “I do want you around. And I do want to go to Asia. You have to understand that. I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings that way. Maybe…” she hesitated. “we could go together?”

Farah actually felt herself smile and giggle at this extremely sweet gesture. The girls were kneeling in broken glass in Pearll's destroyed dorm room and she was asking Farah to forgive hurt feelings. What was there to say, other than, "I'm so sorry I was a terrible leader last night. I know how important having your mind to yourself is. I want you to enjoy going to Asia, and if I can't go, then I want you to check in every night and tell us everything you can. For right now, though, until this room is all fixed up, do you want to stay in my room?"

Farah stood, and brushed the glass off of her bloody shins. They'd healed by the time she walked into her room. She reached into her small closet and pulled a big, puffy sleeping bag from the shelf. She shook it out carefully and laid it over an extra blanket on the floor, parallel to her own bed. Her room was clean and well organized, which Pearll's had never been whether it had just been broken into by a vampire or not. Farah decided that it didn't matter, and that if the room got messy, it wouldn't mean much more than a sign that maybe she was capable of having a friend other than Tyler.

"Pearll? You're going to the ball with Tyler, aren't you?" Farah didn't wait for an answer. "If you end up doing anything to hurt him, I'll use your pelt as a blanket, okay?"

It was then that it occurred to her that maybe this was why she didn't have many friends.

"Come on in, and get comfortable now. We'll worry about your things once everything's been reported to the Chancellor."

Forever don’t exist for us but, please just let me hold you tightly for now.

Pearll is feeling over the moon.

Pearll was waiting anxiously for Farah’s reply. She was deathly afraid that Farah would continue to be infuriated with her. But it was to the contrary, when Farah hugged her back, Pearll’s heart gave a leap of exhilaration. Oh god, she’s going to forgive me. She could feel chortles shaking Farah. However, she was surprisingly sober when she spoke. "I'm so sorry I was a terrible leader last night. I know how important having your mind to yourself is. I want you to enjoy going to Asia, and if I can't go, then I want you to check in every night and tell us everything you can. For right now, though, until this room is all fixed up, do you want to stay in my room?" Pearll nodded. She was so relieved that tears flowed freely from her tear-filled eyes. Wiping them away from her cheeks, she felt Farah let go of her and stood up. Pearll stood up too and she followed Farah into her room.

As she was about to step out of her room, she turned. “Aren’t you coming too?” She asked Tyler, who was still standing in her room. He’s probably there because he’s scared that Farah would start ripping my head off. She thought, smirking slightly. But she didn’t. And that’s what counts. Figuring that Tyler would follow them if he wanted to, Pearll walked out of her room and stopped outside of Farah’s. Looking in, she could see Farah taking a sleeping bag from her closet and placed it on the floor beside her bed. “Farah do you roll to the floor when you sleep? Seriously, I don’t want to be crushed by you, you know?” Pearll joked. She still stood outside, waiting for Farah to invite her into her room. "Pearll? You're going to the ball with Tyler, aren't you? If you end up doing anything to hurt him, I'll use your pelt as a blanket, okay?" Farah said once she arranged the sleeping bag properly. “You’re so unfair. What if Tyler hurt me, and not the vice versa? I don’t find you using his skin as your blanket.” Pearll pouted, complaining jokingly. “Besides, that’s what he assumes. I haven’t given him my reply yet. And he did not find me during last night’s patrol.”

Yeah, right. Like you’re so not going to go with Tyler. Pearll chided herself. Chuckling lightly, she heard Farah inviting her into her room. She entered, it was her millionth time entering Farah’s room, and it never fails to marvel her with how neat Farah is. “…We'll worry about your things once everything's been reported to the Chancellor.” Pearll nodded. “You’re insane, Farah. Why do you actually have to keep everything so neatly and orderly?” She asked, still glancing about in wonder. “What are we going to do today? Maybe we should get permission from the chairman, after we report the break-in, to go out of school. We can go into town for some food, and maybe some entertainment? I’m really hungry and I haven’t taken my breakfast!” Pearll suggested, her stomach complaining loudly to prove to Farah that it was painfully empty. “What do you think?” she asked, waiting for Farah’s reply. “It’ll be fun, just the two of us. Oh, we can include Tyler too… Please, please, pretty please, just say yes.” Pearll smiled enticingly, thinking up plans for when they go into town.

{mood= chipper ツ} ♥ Lyrine ☮ {/mood}

User Image Lyrine felt ready to go eat something. The teacher had told her about the dining hall being open until it was closed off permanently for the Halloween Ball. Although Lyrine did want to go grab something before it closed off, she was having too much fun at her sewing machine to leave. She heard the door open, but she ignored that. Not important, for now anyway. Somebody was listening to “We the Kings” really loud so the tinny volume reached her ears. Lyrine loved the song, and she mouthed the words to herself. ‘Cause If you jump, I will jump too…’ Her stomach growled, anything sending it into flurries of hunger. She groaned, but decided five more minutes before she got up. And then she heard a voice- a very familiar voice at that- saying “Yes, its quite a shock to have a casual Friday…” Lyrine stifled a giggle as she recognized the voice as Keith’s. Lyrine wanted to turn, but she didn’t. It was wrong to eavesdrop like that… but technically she wasn’t eavesdropping. He could see her plainly in sight. Even though it was only her back, and even though her hair was pulled up in a bun so her striking curls were hidden… but that wasn’t her fault. And besides that, it was interesting what Keith was saying. When males tend to need as much moving space as myself? Even when explaining the concept of skinny jeans, he sounded so formal and official about everything. Perfectionist much? Lyrine thought. And then her face broke into a grin when he said “Skaters, ma’am.” Skaters were hot. So that was the label Keith would fit into. Lyrine was dying to turn around and observe Keith in skinny jeans, a hoodie, and glasses. But first- the dress got priority. It was seriously almost done. Thankfully, she hadn’t put it on a mannequin or something yet. She really didn’t want Keith to see it before Lyrine showed up wearing it at the Ball. She began to fold stuff and put it away in the drawer the teacher had let her use for this purpose.

Unable to stand the suspense any longer, Lyrine turned. She couldn’t wait to see what his reaction would be. Shock, probably. “Hi, Keith.” She said to him. Oh. My. God. Black shirt peeking under a checked hoodie, skinny jeans, and was he wearing Converse?And he made it all look good. Even the glasses. The only time Lyrine wore her comfortable Doc Martens was when she knew nobody would pay attention to her feet. Hiking, maybe. On casual days, Lyrine had seen kids running around wearing Ed Hardy, or- like her- Roxy, A&F, and Chanel. But he had to be the first guy she had seen wearing skinny jeans in Oak Point. And Lyrine really liked it. She looked up from his outfit (did he ever let go of his ID?) approvingly to his face. She finished her appraisal, deciding the belt could only be pulled off with that combination. “Hey, you look nice. Very skaterish.” She laughed, remembering his sincere words to the teacher earlier. Randomly, Lyrine made a mental note to ask him later if he actually skated or just liked the label. The teacher seemed surprised they knew each other. Keith’s quiet persona certainly made it doubtful. But Lyrine gave the teacher a smile and said, “I’m finished with my work for now. May I come back later to put finishing touches on it?” The teacher nodded slowly, still trying to place them both in the same category: bouncing, blonde Lyrine and the class president? Lyrine could see the bizarre mix in her head. Turning back to Keith, Lyrine asked him, “Have you already gone to eat, or would you like to join me?” She didn’t want to pressure him into anything randomly; maybe he had an appointment with a teacher. After all, he still had a reputation as the prez to hold up to.

Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood is feeling just a little : { bored }

User Image
"Well so much for coming back soon. Man, I'm really hungry," Kiyarah said to herself. She sat uprigth on her bed, her eyes gazing out the window. Something inside her was hoping that Adam would come soon, maybe about now. Her stomach grumbled for food, but what irritated her the most was the burning she felt in her throat because she was so thirsty. And because of continuous coughing, Kiyarah's throat was also very dry. So the burning was far more irritable. I had to be born half vampire. She let out a sigh and laid back on her bed. Immediately, the hybrid started to feel really bored. Of all people, Adam should know how very impatient I am! She let out another sigh and sat back up. Her gaze traveled around the room for something to do. She had waited for minutes on end for him to come back. She had waited for so long that she was wondering what the hell he was doing. Obviously, a pure blood like him would not take this long to hunt for a deer and get some soup. Running a hand through her hair once over, Kiyarah kicked her blanket off her legs and got up off her bed.

Heading over to the bathroom, Kiyarah damped a washcloth and qiped her face and revealed body. Afterwards, she walked back out and over towards her closet where she picked out a white termo and black sweatpants. Hey, she was sick and dressing in her usual casual apparel would not make her feel any better. Especially since the weather outside was said to be very windy with a small chance of rain. She hoped that there would be no rain today or tonight. Kiyarah did want a chance to go out and mingle with some students. But with how this cold was coming along, she highly doubted it. The only people she could possibly hang out with were the vampires. Not that she was complaining since hanging out with one vampire in particular was more of a dream come true to her. I still can't believe that we're actually we now! she thought, a huge grin on her lips as she looked at herself in the mirror. In her opinion, she looked absolutely horrible. Because of her cold, Kiyarah looked more paler than ever and her eyes had bags under them for some odd reason. After she turned away, Kiyarah grabbed the biggest and warmest sweater she could find (which happened to belong to Hugo, but she had no intention of giving it back), her iPod, cellphone, ID chain, and a white hair tie and headed out the door. While going down the steps, Kiyarah used the white hair tie that she picked up and tied her long hair into a messy bun. It was technically a casual Friday so Kiyarah could be as lazy in style as she wanted to be. Plus, she was never one to be so in fashion like the rest of the school. There were only a few pieces of clothing in her closet that was brand name. The rest was just cheap but comfortable.

The first place Kiyarah went to after leaving the comfort of her room was the kitchen. Hell, she was hungry that she could eat a whole horse if it was thrown at her this minute. From what she had seen and heard, the house was deserted, except for the occasion silent snore from Hugo in his room. From the sound of it he seemed to have a cold as well. Shaking her head in amusement, Kiyarah walked over to the fridge to find something to eat. And of course, there would be something. The Chairman was one awesome father, not to mention one awesome cook. Her stomach grumbled fiercely as she stared at the many containers of soup the Chairman had cooked earlier for her and Hugo. So I was right about him being sick. she thought to herself, reading the note addressed to Hugo. His favorite soup, which she was not quite fond of. After a little more evaluation, Kiyarah decided to just skip the soups and just eat and apple. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. she thought with a giggle as she picked up a fresh red apple from the fruits basket and took a bite. The juice satisfied her human hunger without a problem. Now it was her vampire hunger that she needed satisfying. Walking over to the center isle and opened the top drawer. The Chairman always kept an extra packet of blood tablets in there just in case Kiyarah or Hugo had run out. Taking out the red packet, Kiyarah took out two and then filled a glass with the water from the sink. She popped the tablets into her mouth, taking a gulp of water afterwards. The thirst had gone away, but not as much. She was still thirsty. After she finished her apple, Kiyarah threw the core into the trash bin near the exit of the kitchen and then headed out through the front door.

She had no idea where to go. Everyone seemed to be rushing to the dining hall to fill up on food before it closed for the weekend. No one really was satisfied with the snacks in the common room cafe. The wind outside was scorching and making Kiyarah shiver even with the large sweater on, which surprisingly still smelled a little bit like Hugo for some odd reason. Putting the hood on and ducking her head against the wind, Kiyarah decided to head to the Twilight Dorms. She hadn't really spoken to Star for a while so might as well visit the girl. Plus, as Kiyarah had made her way to the dorm building, there had been muttering that Star had been found making out with Felix. She couldn't exactly believe that it was true, but one the other hand, Kiyarah had been hoping that those two would get together some day soon. They actually looked like a realy hot couple. And plus, it would help keep other students' attention on them instead of having Adam's fanclub snoop about wondering who Adam's girlfriend was, if they were ever to find out of course. While she walked, Kiyarah scrolled through her iPod for something to listen to. She decided to just put the damn device on random. Who could ever pick one song to listen to when there was hundreds of them? Once a song played into her ears, Kiyarah slipped her iPod into the pocket of her sweatpants and then kept her eyes on her destination which was coming up quick.

The Twilight Dorm room was buzzing with activity. As Kiyarah came in, some of the vampire students greeted her with a simple hello, some came up and hugged her, while others remained where they were and just gave her a curt nod. She responded respectfully to all greetings, seeing as all these vampires were so much older than she was. Some people were buzzing about Marcus and how he had attempted to ask a werewolf to the ball. Kiyarah's eyebrows went up at this. Marcus? Ask a werewolf to the ball? Was that suppose to be his own idea of a sick joke? Last Kiyarah remembered, Marcus hated werewolves. With a shrug, the hybrid decided to just ignore all this gossip and headed up to Star's room. Standing outside of Star's room, Kiyarah could hear some moving of things. Closet raiding Kiyarah was guessing, knowing how Star was. No doubt having heard her coming to the door, or her music, or even taking in her scent, Kiyarah still knocked on the door just to be polite. "Star? I'm coming in," Kiyarah said, bringing her hand to the doorknob and opening it cautiously. She peeked her head in and saw that there was after all contents of her closet all around her room. This brought a smile to her face as she remained at the door. "So the rumors that you're going to the ball, and also going out, with Felix are true I'm guessing?" she asked, coughing afterwards for a couple seconds. Kiyarah brought her hands deep into the pocket of the black sweater to keep her hands warm. While she waited for a response from Star, Kiyarah wondered what Adam was doing.

ll ooc:: I'll try to post for Tyler AND Keith tomorrow. Not making any promises. ll

So now that Farah and Pearll were making up and being all buddy buddy again, Tyler felt that as Beta of the pack he had to do the job that the Alpha was "unable" to do. He didn't want the two ladies to stop getting closer to each other, so he decided upon himself that he would go to the Chairman and speak to him about Pearll's room. While the girls went into Farah's neat and organized room, Tyler remained out of Pearll's room, thinking about what to say to the Chairman when he went to the man's office. He could hear the girls talking to each other and smirked when they started to talk about him and the ball. It made him remember about last night and how he had not found Pearll last night, because he planned not to since he had a feeling that Pearll would still go with him. Because he was just that cool. And besides, what girl would not want to go with him to the ball? Shaking his head in amusement, Tyler turned towards Farah's room and started over to the door. He walked in when Farah had taken out a sleeping bag (which she insisted on having just in case) from her closet. "So ladies, while you two are getting associated, I'll be heading to the Chairman to speak to him about getting the room fixed," he explained, leaning on the door with his arms crossed loosely over his toned chest. Many guys at Oak Point were very jealous that they didn't have his body. Chicks just dig a guy with the right amount of muscle. Smirking at both girls, Tyler pushed himself up and then stuck his hands deep in his pocket. "By the way, if you two read your emails, Chairman says that all students are to remain in campus. And also, the dining hall is open till after noon. So I recommend you two go and get some food before we're stuck with the snack food in the common room," he told them, walking over to Farah's desk and picking up his towel which he had left there.

Once he wrapped his towel around his shoulders, Tyler walked back to the door. "By the way, if any of you two are going to look for me. I'll be in the gym. I'mma practice with the guys for the upcoming game. So, get yourself associated and I'll see ya two later," he said, sending them a small salute and then stepped out of the room. Because of his long legs, he was out of the dorm rooms in no less than five minutes. And it took him close to ten to travel to the administrator's building and less than a minute to travel to the door of the Chairman's office. When Tyler looked into the office through the window, he almost cracked up laughing. The lady prefect had mentioned that the Chairman was a cheerful fellow when it came to interacting events, but Tyler thought he would be this happy. Chuckling behind his teeth, Tyler knocked on the door a couple hard times to grab the dancing Chairman's attention. He almost cracked up when he saw the Chairman almost jump to the ceiling from being seen. Like Tyler would tell people about what the Chairman does in his office. Well, maybe he would. He never really thought about it. As the man straightened up and walked to the door, Tyler did his best to look serious, even though he had no shirt on and only a towel around his shoulders. As the Chairman opened the door to let Tyler in, he could see that the man was absolutely shocked to see him. "Goodness, gracious! Mister Carrillo? Aren't you cold? It's extremely cold outside and you're not even wearing a shirt!" the Chairman let out with a look of amazement and shock in his eyes. Tyler smirked and chuckled. "Really? I didn't notice. I guess that's the defect of being a werewolf huh sir?" he responded, stepping into the warm office. Tyler took a seat across from the Chairman. The seat couldn't even fit him because of his long legs. "So, Mister Carrillo. What can I do for you?" the Chairman asked.

"Chairman, sir. Earlier, a bloo--a student from the night class came to our dorm and, well, one could consider it breaking and entering because from the looks of it, this student entered through the window. The room belonged to Pearll Spiet," he explained, sticking his hands deep in his pockets again as he was forced to slouch just to get himself to fit in the chair. The Chairman nodded, asking if there was anything else he wanted to add. Tyler noded then continued, "Pearll was defending herself against this bloo--guy. But it led to the destruction of her room. I was wndering it maybe you could have some custodians check out and maybe get the room fixed? Farah Redding has offered to have Pearll bunk in her room till the room is fixed. Is that all right sir?" He waited while the Chairman thought this over. When the man looked up at him, Tyler sat up straight and opened his ears. "All right, Mister Carrillo. I will go and have a look at this as soon as I can today. Thank you for informing me. You may go." With a nod, Tyler stood up, towering over the Chairman and then walked out of the office. That was easy. No wonder Farah could easily talk to the Chairman about updates. Ah well. Not my job to mess with. Except when I have to. Walking out the doors of the building, Tyler felt the eyes of many of the staff stare at him with disbelief. He had made a mental note to put on a shirt the next time it was windy cold and he was to go outside.

All Day Class students made their way to the dining hall as he walked the opposite direction towards the gym. Many of the girls that he passed stared at him with their jaws dropped. They just could not believe he was outside without a shirt. Some had taken up the courage to ask him if he was cold at all, and he merely answered no before walking off. They still stared at him. After all, he was hot, no doubt about it. A few guys from the football team glared at him, in which he glared back. They were still jealous. From the dining hall to the gym, a total of eleven girls had asked him to the ball. Of course, he had to say no to all of them since he had only one girl in his mind that he would go to. Stepping into the gym, he already saw his teammates sitting at the bleachers. All of them were waiting for him. When he came in, they all looked at him wide eyed. It must really be that surprising to walk outside without a shirt on in forty something degrees weather. Maybe less, but who was keeping track? "All right guys! Let's get practicing!" he called out to his team, tossing his towel onto the bottom bench and then grabbed a ball.

He watched as his teammates hussled onto the court into their positions. Tyler started to bounce the ball, running into the court as he looked for a teammate that was in his Skins team. A tall dark skinned guy that was in his english class sprinted over to him, in which Tyler did a fast move to keep a distance from him so that he would be able to play at his fullest, instead of his human speed. Tyler quicky pivoted around the guy, passing the ball to a blonde teammate using an over head pass. He then did a bounce before sprinting to the other side of the court looking for a free zone to get the ball or help assist. When he was close to the key, Tyler watched as the ball went flying and swish into the basket. He let out a victory whoop and then took the ball in his hands. "That's it! That's how we do it!" he called out to his team then chest passed the ball to a teammate on the Shirts team. And the game continued from there.

_________________________It's always about mind over matter.

Keith Zachary Reynolds 's current mood : { still relaxed }

It was not much of a surprise that the other person in the fashion department was Lyrine. Keith had a feeling that it would be her, not because he recognized her hair - which he hadn't - but it was just the atmosphere he felt while standing in the classroom with her around. The teacher never gave off that kind of feeling in the air around him. It was only Lyrine that could. So when the girl had turned to look at him, he just stood there, calm and composed as always. He smiled down at her, ignoring the surprised look on the teacher's face as she looked from Lyrine to him and back to Lyrine. Yes, it was quite a shock that Lyrine would know someone like the class president. It was just how this school flowed. Everyone believed one person would get along well with another just by looking at them through their appearance. Not that he was saying anything against it since it was half true. But he never really thought that teachers would follow this pattern of belief. "Hello, Lyrine. It's nice to see you again," he said in his usual composed tone. He had no idea why his voice was the way it sounded, but it was defintely not how it sounded when it was just him and Lyrine. Maybe out in the school he was back to his class president role. But in the privacy of his dorm, he was just plain old Keith. It was no wonder Lyrine had said that he looked like a regular teenager when in his room. Clearing his throat, Keith stood up straighter, smiling over to the teacher who was still looking from one to the other in disbelief.

As Lyrine spoke to him again, complimenting his outfit, Keith took deep breaths to remain calm and not blush. Turning back to look at the girl, Keith nodded a thanks. "Thank you, Lyrine. I haven't had the time to dress in these clothes since I started here in Oak Point. Feels nice to be an individualist through my style," he said, flashing her a secretive wink before turning to look at the teacher. "The Chairman has asked me to accompany Miss Colt while she gets aquainted with the school. It's my duty as Day Class Student Body President to make sure she is comfortable at this school as much to my ability as I can make her." The teacher looked a little lost at Keith's explanation, but either way stil nodded in understanding as she stepped out of the way and went back to her desk once Lyrine had told her that she was done with whatever project she had to be doing at the sewing machine. Keith was rather curious as to what project she was putting together, but knew better and decided to ignore his curiosity.

He brought his attention back to the girl beside him and smiled professionally. "I would be happy to accompany you to the dining hall, Lyrine. I'm sure we will be able to find some seats there to enjoy breakfast, which I can tell you haven't had yet. Come," he said, taking Lyrine's hand in his and turning on his heel. He started over towards the door, waving goodbye to the teacher who was staring with her jaw dropped. Yes. Surprising that I'm acting this way isn't it? he thought with a smirk as he led Lyrine out of the classroom and into the hallway. Even though they were in the hallway now, which was deserted, Keith never let go of Lyrine's hand. "Weird, isn't it? Watching me when I'm in my Class President mode?" he asked her, smirking down at the girl. As they walked, they observed her outfit, which was more casual than he had expected from the Governor's daughter. He had expected brand names from head to foot. But all he saw was a Roxy shirt and skinny jeans. And he had to admit, the skinny jeans really did wonders for her legs, making them more...seductive. He couldn't help but stare. For the first time in his life, Keith felt like a regular hormonal male like the rest of the male population in Oak Point. To his surprise, it didn't scare him at all. He was quite relaxed about it.

Realizing that he had been staring for a little longer than necessary, Keith turned his eyes forward as they continued down the hallways of the school. "You know, I never expected this building to be so big. I think it's because one is so use to being surrounded by rushing students that the hallways were never thought to be so long and ever lasting. Ever lasting being an exageration of course," he explained, staring from classrom door to classrom door that they passed. With every second, the feel of Lyrine's hand was starting to grow on him, causing his heart to beat a little faster than normal. "So, what were you working on in the fashion department?" he asked, trying to think up conversation for them. Without school topics, Keith was a useless person to talk to. Because for most of his life, school was his number one priority and his only priority. But now that he seemed to open up to the other aspects of this school, most of them being the opposite sex, Keith soon saw that he needed to work on fixing his life to adjust to the changes he felt. Most of these changes are the ones he felt around Lyrine. But it was too early in their developing relationship to see where they were going. Not that he was hoping they would go anywhere farther than friends. Except that her hand did feel really nice in his.

Thought after thought after thought rushed through Keith's mind as he continued to lead her out of the building. When finally he saw the exit, Keith first observed how the weather was outside. The wind looked stronger and then when he came inside the building. So he stopped at the door and turned to look at Lyrine. He then pulled off his hoodie and handed it to her. "Here. Wear this so you don't get cold," he said, holding the hoodie out to her.

ll ooc:: Sorry it doesn't seem like much, and if Lyrine was being "dragged" around, just wanted to get them out of there as much as I could without godmodding. OhEmGee! Post 200! Yay! ll

As Kiyah entered, Star lifted her head and smiled, "Oh, Kiyah. Hey!" The bun had extra strands stiking out everywhere and some where flung over her face as the pale vampire's cheeks were a bit pink. Wiping sweat, or, actually, making the motion because as a vampire she didn't really sweat, Star was embarressed at the messy condition her room was in and tried her best to clear a spot on the edge of her bed. Sitting down, she pat next to her, motioning for Kiyarah to join her. For a halfie [[Star's way of calling half-breeds]] Kiyah sure looks pale today. Must be that cold I heard she caught, the girl frowned as she made these observations. Well, Adam made me soup once, when I was still human. I wonder if it would do Kiyah any good. Then again, I probably can't make soup in this dump...

Since soup would be a disaster, and she didn't have medicine [[she didn't need medicine as a vampire]], Star simply turned around while still sitting, and she looked rediculous in that position, and rumaged through one of the heaps of clothes. After a few moments, the female vampire produced a light pink... thing. It was a long sleeved jacket that was light pinkish and filled with grey and white swirls. A few sparkles were scattered here and there. At first Star looked at it with disgust, thinking of the horror that she had actually onced worn that. But it wasn't that bad, and would keep Kiyarah warm. Drapping it over her pretty friend's shoulders, Star smiled. "Sorry," the girl said sympethetically. "With my closet in this state, it's the best I can do." And then Kiyarah mentioned Felix.

Felix. Ah, Felix. Clasping her hands together like a little girl watching a Disney movie, Star smiled. "Yeah. Felix is just so damn hot! And besides, I'm pretty sure he's been after me for a while," she squealed and teased. She began thinking of the event that happened during passing period and although vampires weren't known for romancing, a slight blush highlighted Stars cheeks. However, this was what followed: kissing- getting caught by a teacher- the teacher telling Adam- Adam fighting Felix... Their little 'romantic incident' had almost caused a fight between her over-protective Adam and lover-boy Felix. "I hope that they've both calmed down now... wait. You don't know what I'm talking about do you? Adam... just doesn't like the FelixXMe thing, and they got into a little fight," she muttered. Hopefully they'd both cooled down now. Boys weren't that immature, were they? And since both boys had lived quite a while, they would be more mature than humans here. And maybe they would get into their heads that fighting wasn't what Star wanted. That was, if they even cared.

Romance and the ball tore Stars attention from Felix, as much as she wished it to remain there, and brought her mind to her brother and Kiyarah. She had heard a few Day Class girls gossiping about the head Night Class guy going to the ball with the girl Prefect. Shaking off the foreboding she felt for Felix and Adam, a teasing gleam twinkled her eyes and she grinned, "I always knew you had the hots for Adam. Happy to take it further than that?" She honestly believed Kiyah was perfect for her brother. She could just imagine those two in a Fairytale book, the Halloween ball being the 'royal dance', and of course, afterwards the Happily Ever After. The perfect prince and princess. Even though her intentions were kind, nosing into other people's business was quite rude. And though making Kiyah uncomfortable while she was sick wasn't very pleasing to Star, this vampire was the Night Class Queen and had to know every little hint of gossip around Oak Point. If there was one thing she missed, she would throw a fit. Adam got a taste of that when he forgot to tell her that one of the Day Class members who recently bought a cute hat was the vice president of the student body, and Star saw it on the bench, disturbed that there was fashion gossip going on without her involvement.

Her gaze turned slightly to the right and finally Star allowed herself to completely view her room. The slight flush on her faced turned almost bright red as Star realized it looked almost as if her place had been hijacked. The 'robber' had raided only her closet and, in a frustrated fit, had thrown everything unwanted out of the way. The 'robber' being Star herself in 'find a sexy dress' mode. So far, no luck. and she doubted after this mornings happenings that the chairman would allow her out on a shopping spree. Perhaps... no. Kiyarah probably didn't have a dress for her. If it was sexy enough for Star's body, Kiyah would do well to wear it herself. And besides that, they probably weren't the same size; Star being a vampire after all. She awaited Kiyah's answer to the inquiry about the coupling with her brother, and smiled all the while, not exactly voluntarily.

It was not that surprising to see Star's room in this mess, even though Kiyarah was use to seeing really neat and organized rooms from vampires. But there was some woman's intuition in her system that told Kiyarah that her friend was having some sort of wardrobe "malfunction." Malfunction meaning that Star was having trouble finding something to wear for the ball. Okay so maybe it was a surprise. Steeping more into the room cautiously, Kiyarah looked around while trying to avoid treading on any of her clothes. Kiyarah would kill herself if she stepped on any of Star's brand name clothes with her dirty old Chuck Taylors. It's like trying to go through a juggle full of thick leaves! she thought, letting out a small shriek when she almost stepped on what looked like a something by Dolce. The hybrid let out a sigh at the quick save. Then again, Star was probably didn't care. Either way, Kiyarah would never treat some expensive clothes like Star did. Then again, Kiyarah wasn't as rich as Star. With a shrug, Kiyarah looked up just in time to see her friend wrap a piece of her clothing around her shoulders. "Oh! Wa--" She looked down at the shirt, well, sweat shirt. Even this shirt looked brand name, but Kiyarah was too afraid to see the logo to identify which it was. For some odd reason, this hybrid was afraid of brand names. She let out a chuckle, thinking how ridiculous that must sound. "Thanks, Star," was all Kiyarah said then went to sit beside her friend on the edge of her bed.

A giggle came out through Kiyarah's lips when Star described Felix has "hot." Because Kiyarah was so into Adam, she hadn't really taken a closer look at other vampires. Sure she has seen Felix before when she was patroling the grounds, but she didn't really see much of what other girls saw in this playboy. Maybe it was because she kept picturing Adam in her mind. Maybe. Smirking up at her friend - literally - Kiyarah almost had this urge to pat her friend on the back. "All those human girls in Day Class are furious at you right now! On my way here, I heard a bunch of them say that they want to kill you because Felix is only interested in you!" she let out, picking up a pair of True Religion jeans that laid right beside her left foot. Her eyes widened. Jeez! This girl is skinny! she thought, almost frowning as she put the jeans back where she found them. Kiyarah looked up at Star just as she began to talk about something that at first stumped her. She had turned her head to the side, a look of confusion on her pale face. It was just then that Star explained what happened. Her blue eyes widened as Star explained about Adam and Felix almost getting into a fight. "Really? I mean, I can understand Adam being the way he is with you and Felix, but you're like what? A century old? I'm sure he can---Nevermind. It's none of my business. Sorry." Kiyarah turned away, looking over to the gigantic walk-in closet Star had. Even her closet wasn't as big.

A bright red blush crept into Kiyarah's cheeks when Star mentioned her having the "hots" for Adam. Yes, it was true that Adam had in fact asked her to the ball out in public, and when he had asked her to eat dinner with him last night there was sure at least a couple people that heard it and felt that it was good gossip points. When she noticed that she had kept the silence running for too long, Kiyarah cleared her throat while keeping her blue eyes staring at her folded hands. Star had just asked her if she would be happy to further what she had with Adam. How to tell this to the sister of the guy she was technically dating. Clearing her throat, Kiyarah got up and walked over to the walk-in closet. Maybe a little room from the person receiving the news was the best idea. It was a thought. "Actually, um, your brother and I sort of deepened our relationship last night," she mumbled, staring down at her shoes. A lump appeared in her throat, all thanks to her nervousness. But she continued. "When I was directing Day Class students to dinner, he came up and asked me if I would eat dinner with him. But I told him no. After I got sick, or maybe a little bit after since he was probably in class, he came right up to my room and stayed with me for a long time until he had to take over my duties. During that time, we sort of, um, kissed? A lot? Maybe?" Kiyarah's face was all red. It was really embarrassing talking about this with Star. Even though the girl was Adam's sister and the only one that knew for sure that Kiyarah liked him so much.

"So, um, I'm guessing you're trying to find something to wear to the ball?" Kiyarah soon asked. This awkward silence she had started made her feel so weird inside. So she went to the only topic that could be discussed that did involve the guys but not entirely. The ball. Walking into her closet, Kiyarah looked at the remaining clothes hanging. Shock and amazement filled Kiyarah's entire body as she stared at all the beautiful dresses that hung in front of her. It almost made her mad. "Star, how the hell could you not find a dress to wear to the ball? You've got ten times as many of dresses in your closet than I could have in my entire life! And when I was little I had a lot of them! Holy!" Her outburst had irritated her throat, causing her to cough for a long time. When her coughing fit finally ceased, Kiyarah let out a deep breath and looked back up at the dresses. "Achoo!" she sneezed out into the sleeve of the sweater she wore. After letting out a groan, Kiyarah looked up at the dresses. She was almost entranced at each and every one of them. "You possibly could not have worn any of these elegant dresses during the four years you've been at Oak Point. Since most of the time we're suppose to wear out uniform. You're lucky to have a selection of dresses to wear. Me. The Chairman insist that he picks my dress. So right now, I'm scared to death!" Kiyarah called out, coughing afterwards because of the strain she was putting on her throat. Many of the dresses had caught her eye. And they were all so beautiful. But like with the jeans, they didn't exactly fit her. Sure Kiyarah was not exactly "over weight" but she wasn't exactly "under weight" as well.

Because Kiyarah is very much like her mother, she inherited almost everything. Part of that everything including her mother's curves. So staring at the dresses Star owned made her a little self-conscious about her body. Turning away from the clothes, Kiyarah looked over at Felix. "I'm sure that whatever dress you wear, you'll outshine anyone at the ball. You and Felix will look so lovely together. And don't worry. I'll make sure to distract Adam as much as I possibly can so that you and your boy toy could have some fun," she said in a softer voice so as to not irritate her throat. She coughed a couple of times as she skipped over the clothes on the floor and went to the window. The day was starting to become less cloudy, but there was still not enough sun out to reveal any secrets. From where she was standing, she could see a little bit of the school. But because of the tall trees that covered Twilight Dorms, Kiyarah couldn't really see much. "So," Kiyarah said as she crossed her arms and turned to look at Star. "Why don't we clean up this room of yours? If Adam were to come in here he would probably have a fit. Heh, even if this room was clean he'd still have a fit since I'm out of bed when I should be resting." The hybrid let out a sigh, shaking her head with a soft smile on her lips. Whenever she thought about Adam, her lips always tingled as if his wonderful lips were still touching hers. "And while we clean this up, why don't you tell me about what went down between you and--" Kiyarah coughed a couple times, "Felix last night." And with that, Kiyarah grabbed a couple hangers lying by her foot and began to collect Star's clothes off the ground.

Adam James Kiles is feeling [Focused]

As Adam stood there the scent of a passing deer caught his attention. He remembered why he had left Kiyarah’s room and decided to abandon the fight with Felix and help the girl he loved. Adam relaxed his whole body in preparation for the hunt. He cleared his head of all the ill feeling he was harboring and decided to focus on the deer that was no more then three hundred yards from him. He shot off into the woods nimbly dodging trees and all other sorts of shrubbery, focused on the hunt. He caught sight of the deer and took a pouncing posture watching to see if the deer had caught scent of him yet. When he was convinced it hadn’t he moved so he was facing the deer. Mere seconds passed till he decided his tactic and he dove at the deer. When he made contact he drove his hands under the deer’s front legs and lifted its front end off the ground. He then sank his teeth deep into the deer’s neck taking only a few mouthfuls when he pulled the deer away and let the blood from the open wound on its neck flow into a thermos he had been carrying. As the deer gave it’s last drop Adam set it gently to the ground and turned to a nearby stream.

This stream was one Adam knew well. He would clean up here when the blood tabs just weren’t enough. He dipped his face into the water and made sure to get all the blood that was there off. It was then that he noticed the his jacket and shirt were drenched in blood. Well then, I have made quite a mess of myself. he thought as he removed them. He dug a small hole next to himself and buried the shirt and jacket so no one would find them. He cleaned off his hands or the dirt and muck and turned back towards the school. He watched as one ray of sun came through the clouds and illuminated the ground where the deer lay.Enjoy your stay there. I here heaven is beautiful. he thought as he slowly watched the sun disappear behind the layer of clouds. A small smile creeped across his face as he walked slowly back towards the school.

When he broke the cover of the trees the full effect of his being shirtless nearly caused some of the Day class girls to faint. Adam had grown accustomed to their staring and them pondering what he would look like naked but this was different. Their blood was pumping so hard he nearly has to clasp his hands over his ears it was so loud. He turned from them and walked towards Kiyarah’s house. When he remembered he was also supposed to get her soup. He turned back around and peeked into the dining hall. There were only the cooks left in there so he walked in and up to the counter. ”Could I get a cup of chicken noodle soup please?” he said letting his eyes smolder. The cooks heart raced as she handed him a small container that he took eagerly. He smiled and walked out of the hall and crossed back towards Kiyarah’s house. He was only a hundred feet or so when he caught her scent heading towards the school. He followed it the whole time he was worried and wanted to make sure she was ok. There were no other scents following her so she was alone. But he swore he could smell Hugo but it wasn’t strong enough to know for sure. The trail led him right into the Twilight dorms where a few of the vampires looked at him curiously, probably because he was shirtless, his hair was in shambles, he was carrying a thermos and a cup of soup and he was vigorously sniffing the air. The trail ended at Stars door and he knew that she would not be happy to see him. As he opened the door he said ”Star, I’m coming in. Is Kiyarah in here with you?” He stepped into the room and closed the door behind him.

When Kiyarah said that she and her brother had kissed, a growl escaped Star's throat. Her fists clenched and her already pale hands turned ghost white. It wasn't that she was angry at Kiyah, no, Star was happy for her friend. But first her brother had blown up at both Felix and her for kissing, and then turns aroudn to go kiss his own girlfriend. What was his problem? Such a hypoctrical brother. It looked as if all those years of living hadn't healed his male immaturity. I was mad at him for growling at Felix, she thought. But at 3'oclock my brother is going to get his a** kicked by little miss princess. Although she knew Adam meant well, it wasn't like Star could just let him get away with controlling her life. If Kiyah wasn't her friend, she would break them up right there and then. "Adam, you--"

Star then realized that her inside temper tantrum was probably scaring the s**t out of Kiyah, so she forced herself to relax and smile. She wasn't being such a good friend by worrying about only her love life. Star rushed over and hugged her friend. A squeal escaped the vampire's mouth. It was hard to believe that stone cold Adam would ever 'love' someone, but Kiyah was a cute girl. "I'm so happy for you, Kiyah!" and then let go, her eyes shining. A frown formed on Star's face as Kiyah glanced at the hybrids body once or twice, and the vampire wondered if she was making her friend uncomfortable by having so many dresses that were, well, super-model type. Kiyarah quickly changed the subject to what she would wear for the ball. That made Star grin. She let go of Kiyah's neck and ruffled through a few colorful dresses that were hanging next to her and dismissed them with a wave. "As weird as it seems, I really can't find anything. They all look so... well, just not right," Star murmured, with a sheepish look on her faced.

To Kiyah who was neither rich nor extremely 'firgured', Star probably sounded like a snob when she waved away the beautiful selection of dresses. "If any catches your eye," Star couldn't name one that wouldn't, "You can have it. I'll bring it to the ball so you can change out of whatever the chairman gives you," the girl inserted quickly, as not to sound snobby. Another grin formed on her face as she imagined her brother dancing with a prefect dressed for the 1980's. What a sight that would be. Not to offend the chairman's taste, but how old was the man anyway? Shaking her head to clear her mind of those awkward thoughts, Star turned back to the topic of dresses. While folding a stack of studded, denim capris, she scanned the closet once more. A silvery sparkled, black mermaid dress caught her eye, but Star shook her head. The bottom was too ruffled and too tight for her to dance, and she want to have to wear black eyeshadow or anything like that. "If the chairman gives you the freedom, have you found anything in particular?"

Another red dress was scooped up the floor. Star didn't even consider this one, because she had already worn it last year, but it was nice and she was careful not to ruin it. If Kiyah asked to wear it, she wouldn't mind loaning it to her either. That went with all of her dresses. But other than what Kiyah would wear, Star needed to find something quickly. Smiling inwardly at Kiyarah's compliment about her looking stunning in anything, she knew the prefect would look lovely too. Folding a hoodie in response to her friends 'clean-up' suggestion, she smiled, "I'm sure tough, old Adam is worried about you right now." No sooner had she said this than Adam had arrived at her door. "Star, I'm coming in. Is Kiyarah in here with you?" When he entered, Star sharply turned her back, making her disgust in him clear. "I see you've already decided to see her for yourself," she said coldly. For the first time since she'd ever been mad at Adam, Star was quite calm in the way she held her composure, and neatly stacked away another designer shirt.

Giving Adam the stone-cold treatment wasn't the best idea, and wasn't a good way of getting back at her brother. But right now, Star wasn't in the mood for fighting, and wasn't about to give in anytime soon either. Silent treatment was just dumb, so she settled for being distant with him. Though Adam likely only cared for Kiyarah right now. "Your princess is doing fine. She might want to pick out one of my dresses for the ball," Star said, looking only at a black limited edition Sara Berman dress. "I have't forgotten to be in your room in 7 hours. Anything you want to say about Felix, tell me in there." It was odd to have Star act sharply and cooly; usually she'd be spazzing and yelling about now. This change of temper was caused probably by a bit of maturity, which Adam didn't seem to have when it came to Star's life, and the Halloween Ball where she didn't have time to waste fighting with her brother. I hope he just takes Kiyarah, or leaves her with me, and l.e.a.v.e.s.

Her brother was carrying a few odd things and was dressed in an odd way. If this had been any other day, she'd have layed his stuff on the table and dried him off. But she presumed his cup of soup was for Kiyarah, and decided not to. Vampires could stand rain, and if he caught a cold Kiyah would be dateless, but she would be free for a night. Which wasn't too bad. Selfish, but not bad. He looked worried for her friend and Star was happy about that. After all, it was time he cared about someone in 'that' way. Kiyah seemed eager to join him wherever, which was good as well. Alone time was probably what she needed right now, but Star really didn't have the heart to kick her sick friend out. Hopefully Kiyah would be able to attend the ball, so she could distract Adam like she said. That way both couples could be alone. "So Kiyah, wanna go with Adam? Or do you want to pick a dress in case the Chairman goes berserk with his fashion sense?" Star teased, accutely aware of Adam closing the door. She hoped he wasn't planning to stay. Kiyarah was one thing. Keeping a watch on Star like she was a baby was another.

~ Feeling Violent.

User Image Felix unclenched his jaw and followed Adam into the forest. Emotions and thoughts ran through his head, all jumbled up. Nothing really made sense. Nothing other than his blinding rage. Nothing but the pure want to crush Adam into pulp. It only enraged Felix more to see him smirk at a tree that smelled like… Marcus? Felix could only imagine what the older vampire had done there. He didn’t have time to do that, however. Instead, when Adam paused at the clearing, Felix raised his head, feeling the atmospheric pressure and odors of human. The two humans had just scampered away. The guy turned for a moment, however, and probably the testosterone in him told him there would be a major fight between these two. Felix could practically see the gears turning in his head. But this fight was different. It wasn’t a human game, or something those immature mutts did. It was between two vampires. There would be considerable loss of control. And, Felix hoped, loss of life. Adam’s life. Adam was already crouching in a clearing; the natural beast instinct true beasts of blood did when faced with a threat or challenge. Felix knew why. One of his coaches had told him why; it was because instinct that had developed over thousands of years for the best defense. But the coach had also told him exactly how to counter the tactic when used against him. Silently, Felix thanked his father for excelling his skills as a warrior in hand-to-hand combat. But a quiver inside him added that this was the first time he would fight without someone over watching and making sure Felix didn’t get hurt. It was his first all out battle against somebody whose life he sincerely wanted to take. 'Its time to grow up, Felix.

His first attack would immediately give him the upper hand. Felix knew how to start off, what to do to make sure Adam would never regain himself. Sounds of the forest reached Felix’s ears; the heartbeats of the little critters in the ground, on the trees, in the sky. He could hear humans in the buildings, despite the fact that they were quite far away. His senses were buzzing with the expectation of the oncoming fight. Every nerve in his body reacted to the tiniest, miniscule things. His attention was focused on the prey. His vision targeted Adam, and Felix ran. The first thing would be a full out tackle. From here on, the official battle had begun. Nothing else mattered; his mind cleared. The world was rushed past in barely 3 milliseconds. Felix knew exactly what it would fel to connect with Adam, making a sound like a castle being dropped from the sky to the ground. The crash would be worse than thunderbolts striking matter. It was marble on marble; a vicious grating sound of metal screeching on itself. Felix pulled his fist back to assault Adam. It was at that very moment that Star’s voice broke through all his training and rage and reached him, her plaintive voice saying, "Please don't hurt Adam. He means well." Felix faltered. And he knew he couldn’t go against her… he wouldn't fight Adam. He didn't have to, either.

Adam turned and fled into the forest. Felix stopped himself immediatly. His fist still clenched and poised to attack, he stood there for a moment, thoroughly confused. His prey was shadowing a deer into the forest apparently. But why had Adam left so suddenly, without even a word? The buzz and fightlust in Felix began to die off now that the threat was gone. Wearing off, it left Felix with his normal capabilities. His senses dulled slightly, and he felt the mental exhaustion the preperation to fight had taken from him. He glanced around the forest nd let his eyes close. He was so close to hitting him, so close to going against Star...Star. Straightenting, he thought he should get back to school. Felix took a deep breath and felt the air on his tastebuds as he headed back toward campus. He could feel Adam nearby, but he clamped his thoughts and concentrated specifically on not following him. Damn it, his scent mingled with Star's, and Felix couldn't go there to see her. But he wanted to, so bad. Walking at human speed, he decided to roam the campus until Adam's pathetic a** got away from Star.

Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood is feeling just a little : { nervous }

User Image
There was something in Kiyarah that had told her that telling Star that she and Adam had kissed was such a bad idea. And instantly, she felt like taking all her words back and saying a simple “Just kidding!” statement before going back to work in cleaning up Star’s room. But then Kiyarah remembered how much Star sort of scared her. How the girl was so temperamental at some times. Which was why she had chosen to remain in that girl’s good side at all times. In fact, Kiyarah tried to remain in many of the vampires’ good side so that she would not have to be torn into pieces. Even if she had Adam on her side now, Kiyarah still had to fend for her life. After all, he won’t always be there for her, no matter how much she wanted him to be. As she was about to pick up a V-neck shirt - Versace? - Kiyarah felt cold hard hands wrap around her, choking her a little bit. Kiyarah let out a gasp while holding in the cough that wanted to come out by the sudden force on her body. She wanted to say a thank you to her friend, but no words were able to come out of her mouth since she felt like the wind had really been knocked out of her. It was when Star had finally put her down did Kiyarah finally show her thanks. But since she was coughing continuously, Kiyarah just smiled at Star for a second before turning away and coughing into the sleeves on Hugo’s sweater.

When finally the coughing had ceased, Kiyarah went back to picking up the clothes from the floor and bringing them back into her friend’s closet. Her eyebrow raised when Star had stated that she couldn’t find anything to wear. When in her closet, there was dresses from any and every brand name store from all over the world. There had to be one in this closet that was “right” for her to wear. ”What exactly are you looking for when you mean ‘right,’ Star? I mean you have so many dresses. There has to be at least one dress in here that will seem right. You do not need to go out into town just to buy a dress that you’ll probably only wear once.” She would have continued, explaining to the girl that just because she was rich she could spend all the money she wanted, but Kiyarah was scared of the girl after all. If Star could figure out herself that Kiyarah had thought her snobby for that short second than there was no use having to say it.

Kiyarah’s gaze had remained on the dresses while still picking up the rest of the clothes that were sprawled on the floor. They were all just so beautiful. And it made Kiyarah wonder if Star had worn any of these dresses more than once. Probably not. A girl like her was probably someone that would never be seen wearing the same clothes twice, unless it was the school uniform. The hybrid let out a sigh and turned away from the dresses. It was then that Star said that if she wanted, she could have one of the dresses in the closet. Kiyarah blushed a very bright red, making any sign of her pale skin disappear completely. The hybrid stuttered for words, but quickly gave up and went back to folding clothes. Folding Star’s clothes was the only way she was going to be able to relax from this sudden statement. Ever since the Chairman had mentioned that he would be getting a surprise dress for her, Kiyarah had felt pretty nervous about the decision. But after a while, she really didn’t care what she wore as long as she was wearing something. And besides, Kiyarah trusted in the Chairman to pick out a dress that she would just love. He had done it plenty of times in the past when he was a little girl.

As Kiyarah walked back into the closet with a large pile of t-shirts in her arms, she heard a familiar voice at the door and then the creak of the hinges as the door was being opened. Out of instinct, a small smile crept onto her lips. As Adam stepped inside, Kiyarah felt her insides flip in circles because she was so happy that he was here. She also smelled a couple other scents as well as his. Like the smell of chicken broth and…deer blood. Her throat burned all of a sudden, and her stomach grumbled in hunger. She hoped that Adam hadn’t heard that. After placing the shirts in one of the shelves that she was able to reach, Kiyarah stepped out of the closet and smiled at him. A blush swept onto her cheeks when she noticed that he had no shirt on. His body looked like it had been sculpted by an artist, like his face. He looked so perfect. Every toned part of his body just gleamed radiance. And she could not stop staring. My goodness he’s nothing but beautiful! she thought, finally turning away. There was a sudden feel of bitterness around the room when Adam came in. And most of that feeling came from Star. It made her wonder if any of this had to do with what Star had mentioned earlier. With Adam and Felix. She would have to speak to Adam about this, even if he didn’t want to. Kiyarah didn’t want him to get in trouble just because he didn’t approve of the pairing.

Clearing her throat, Kiyarah picked up the last of the pieces of clothing while trying to hold back the cough that wanted to come out, only to have little success. After she placed a neatly folded stack of jeans in the closet, Kiyarah brought her hands over her mouth and started coughing up a storm. ”Is it just me, or does my voice seem a little hoarse?” she asked the siblings when she stepped out of the closet. She gave a nod of approval when the clothes were all picked up. After that, she turned to look from Star to Adam and then sighed. She walked over to stand beside Adam, smiling up at him. ”I hope you weren’t worried or mad. It was just that I was getting bored, and you probably know how impatient I can be if I’m just standing still or something. And plus, I was getting hungry,” she explained when she stared down at the thermos and the cup of soup in his hands. Because if she stared at his toned chest any longer, Kiyarah might just faint right there and never wake up.

Taking the thermos and cup of soup, Kiyarah placed them at the table close to them and then took off the sweater she was wearing. She knew that there would be some argument to what she was doing, but Kiyarah just couldn’t function properly if she was staring at his half nakedness. After all, she was wearing a thermo and sweatpants. ”Here. I don’t think I want other girls to stare at you without a shirt,” she explained with a bashful grin on her face and then picked up the thermos and cup. ”Thanks for getting me the deer blood and soup,” she said in a more softer voice, almost sounding like a little girl. She wanted to give him a kiss on the cheek, but while they were in Star’s presence, Kiyarah felt like that would be a bad idea. ”Um, I think I’ll be going now. You still need to give me the Four-One-One on…um…well, never mind. We’ll just talk later, okay, Star? Are you coming, Adam?” she said, flashing her friend a soft smile and then went out the door. She walked slowly just in case Adam was coming with her back to her room. While outside, Kiyarah opened the thermos and took a long swing of the blood, feeling the liquid quench her thirst. She let out a satisfied breath then placed the empty thermos in her sweatpants pocket. She would eat her soup later when she got back home or when she had a spoon in possession.

Adam James Kiles is feeling [Ecstatic]

As he stood in the room the tension was palpable. He decided he would stay silent and take what ever scolding came his way, but his love saved him. She came up to him her smile bright and face warm and it was all he could do not to grab her and hold her tight. She spoke in her angels voice and asked if he was worried or mad. He just shook his head and continued to watch her. She took the soup and thermos from him and placed them on a table. She then started to remove her sweater and the man in Adam flared. He wanted to grab her and kiss her but he restrained himself. She placed the sweatshirt in his hands and mentioned how she didn’t want other girls looking at him. Guess I shouldn’t tell her about the girls I nearly gave heart attacks. he smirked slightly. He pulled the sweater over his head and cringed as it smelled powerfully like Hugo and only a bit like Kiyarah. Kiyarah left Stars room and Adam stayed behind for just a second. ”Star,” he said keeping his voice low ”I’m sorry. It’s just you’re my little sister.” And with that he left her room and closed the door.

Just as he exited he noticed it looked as if Kiyarah was going to head back to her house. He quickly swept her up into his arms and turned towards his room. The warmth of her body against his skin was nearly enough to drive him mad, but he kept his composure. ”I don’t think so. I have seen your room it is only appropriate that you now see mine.” he said lightly kissing her on the forehead. He walked down the hall keeping a nice even pace trying not to jostle Kiyarah around. He stopped in front of his door and, supporting her legs with his forearm, opened his door. His room was dark with all the shades drawn so none of the day class students could see in. He flipped the light switch, which he hadn’t used in years, to illuminate his room. The whole room was a very dark wood and had quite a bit of antique furniture. He walked across the room and placed Kiyarah on his king size bed, which was just for show, it was done up in black silk sheets and down covers and pillows. He smiled at her as she lay there ”Well, this is my room. But you should get some rest and I will get you a spoon to eat your soup with. No more running around for you today.” He kissed her forehead again and turned towards the door.

Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood is feeling just a little : { blissful }

Thoughts of going back to her room filled Kiyarah’s mind as she turned towards the end of the hallway that led to the staircase that would lead her to the front door. But as she shook the cup of soup a little to feel a little more of the heat it gave off, she felt her feet leaving the ground in mere seconds. She let out a shriek of fright, wrapping her arms around whoever had picked her up on instinct. She didn’t even look to see who had picked her up till she felt like she was carried securely in this person’s arms. For a moment, Kiyarah kept her eyes closed since her head was spinning in fast circles from being jostled with so quickly. When she felt that her body could handle what she was looking at, Kiyarah opened her eyes and turned to see that it was Adam. It was at this time that he had explained that since he had seen her room, it was “appropriate” that she see his. She let out a giggle as he kissed her on the forehead then rested her head on his chest close to his shoulder. She would have slapped him silly for thinking that what he did was okay, but she was so comfortable being carried in his arms that she really didn’t care what he did as long as he held her.

It only occurred to Kiyarah when they were only feet away from the door that they were going into Adam’s room. Instantly, she felt nervous all over. This was going to be the first time she saw his room. Hell, if she was right, this would be the first time anyone either than him had gone into his room. She hadn’t heard Star mention going into his room in the years that she had known her, so it made Kiyarah wonder if Adam let anyone into his room before now. So this made her even more nervous. She was about to wiggle out of his arms, but they were already standing in front of his room and he was already reaching down to turn the knob. Kiyarah’s heart rate pounded twice as fast as the door swung open in utter silence and the room was revealed.

At first she couldn’t see a thing. But once he had turned on the light switch, Kiyarah’s jaw dropped. She had never seen anything so grand in her entire life. Not even her biological father’s bedroom was this beautiful. Sure the room had this sort of dark feeling in it, but everything in the room seemed so delicate that even the slightest touch could break it. She was careful not to touch anything while her eyes wandered around the room, taking in what she was seeing. The nervousness she felt earlier disappeared leaving her in a state of awe. Her mouth was literally hanging open as she looked at every part of the big bedroom. When she thought that Star’s room was big, it’s now nothing compared to Adam’s. Are all the vampire dorms this big? she thought, wondering if the money to make these rooms big came from the pockets of all the students in Oak Point, or just from the vampires that probably paid for individual renovation. Lucky vampires.

As she was being put down onto the bed, Kiyarah felt this strange uncomfortable feeling. It had to be the bed. Sure it was comfortable, but it was the fact that it was too comfortable that made it feel a little uncomfortable. And it probably also had to do with the size of the bed. The bed in her room was in the middle of full and queen, which was just perfect for her since she was usually the only one lying on it. But this king sized bed was just too much. She had to wonder what anyone, especially a vampire, would use with this size of a bed. Obviously not for sleeping. So was it for show? To show how rich they were? Kiyarah wanted to roll her eyes, but stopped herself and looked back up at Adam as he spoke to her. A smirk appeared on her lips after he kissed her on the forehead and got up off the bed and headed to the door. When the door clicked shut, Kiyarah sat up on the bed and sighed. The room was deathly quiet without him. He must be joking. How in the world can I go back to sleep after resting so many times? All this “get some rest” deal made Kiyarah wonder if Adam was trying to be a father to her, or if he was just worried. She was hoping for the latter of the two.

The light that illuminated the room was enough to give her the full detail of the room when she had examined it earlier. But she had missed one important part of Adam’s room. His piano. The hybrid knew that Adam was a music person, and that he was all about the piano. She had yet to see him play, but she knew from Star, that he was a brilliant pianist. But even with this information in her mind, Kiyarah still found herself amazed when she took sight of the beautiful piano at the other side of his room. Their was this welcoming feeling when she stared at it in all its glory. It gave Kiyarah the urge to just go over and play the keys. She wasn’t exactly a master pianist like Adam must have been, but she knew a few songs by heart. The Chairman felt that every kid should experience piano lessons once in their life. So it was no wonder that he had wanted Kiyarah to take them, especially since she already knew how to play the guitar. With a soft sigh, she scooted off the bed and tip toed over to the piano. She felt that if she didn’t tip toe, there would be some kind of disturbance that would occur.

It was no doubt that this piano was beautiful. As she sat on the bench, Kiyarah’s fingers grazed over the smooth surface. She was almost hypnotized by the texture of the piano. Bringing her attention to the polished black and white keys, Kiyarah almost felt as if she was going to be in some kind of trance if she didn’t look away soon. But the keys almost called for her to play them. And she obliged without hesitation. The first song that came into mind wasn’t an original, she couldn’t write compositions to save her life, but she had heard it not so long ago. Carefully bringing her hands to the right places, Kiyarah played the first note of the song. And soon enough, she had started to sing the lyrics while she played. There were times when she had made a few mistakes, but that didn’t let her down. It had been so long since she played the piano, so she was feeling a little rusty. But she still played, because while in front of this grand piano, Kiyarah could almost see Adam playing on this same piano. And this brought a soft smile onto her face as she continued to play and sing along.
