Marlute Marlute sighed...Relieved, he managed to smile again. "Handsome..." He blushed and looked down at the floor."Hehe....thanks....It's not that I care about that sort of thing, it's just, I don't want to look that way at work..." He said, scratching the tip of his nose, still slightly embarrassed. "Especially not in front of Tseng or President Rufus....It'd just look bad." He looked back over to his briefcase that lay on the table in front of him. "Well, I never really thought about getting help before." He whispered to himself, biting his lower lip. "It's just....I'm happy to do it, but it's getting overwhelming lately...I suppose if you had the time, I'd appreciate it. I don't want you to feel like it's necissary, though." He said smiling warmly at Saerenna. "I may just need a small amount of help here and there." Saerenna grinned at him, finally glad to have made some sort of conversation. "I call 'em as I see 'em. Go ahead and look tired around Tseng and Rufus! Then they'd know how hard they were working you, and maybe give you some slack." She said with a wave of her hand. She rested her elbow on the table and her chin in her hand. "I meant it about helping you out. Anytime you need something just ask, okay?" She looked at his briefcase and asked curiously, "So, what are you working on now?"

Saerenna Saerenna grinned at him, finally glad to have made some sort of conversation. "I call 'em as I see 'em. Go ahead and look tired around Tseng and Rufus! Then they'd know how hard they were working you, and maybe give you some slack." She said with a wave of her hand. She rested her elbow on the table and her chin in her hand. "I meant it about helping you out. Anytime you need something just ask, okay?" She looked at his briefcase and asked curiously, "So, what are you working on now?" Marlute thought about the idea of actually looking tired at work, but no matter how he tried, picturing himself exhausted and disheveled trying to get work done just seemed to make his stomach turn, and he crinkled his nose in slight disgust. "I just don't think I can do that..." He said, smiling and embarassed again. "Ah, right now I'm finishing a file on how we fared earlier today during our mission, and I have to finish writing out the report based on the research I've done for our briefing on the next mission by tomorrow morning." He pulled out the wrinkled sake-stained papers and frowned. "Unfortunately, both have been a bit....ruined."

Marlute Marlute thought about the idea of actually looking tired at work, but no matter how he tried, picturing himself exhausted and disheveled trying to get work done just seemed to make his stomach turn, and he crinkled his nose in slight disgust. "I just don't think I can do that..." He said, smiling and embarassed again. "Ah, right now I'm finishing a file on how we fared earlier today during our mission, and I have to finish writing out the report based on the research I've done for our briefing on the next mission by tomorrow morning." He pulled out the wrinkled sake-stained papers and frowned. "Unfortunately, both have been a bit....ruined." Saerenna laughed, the image of a tired Marlute coming to work entering her mind as well. She said, trying to make it not sound so hopeless. "Do you remember what it said?" She tried to think of a way to remedy the problem, and came up with an idea. "How about you dictate and I'll write it down. I'm pretty good at that, since Hojo never liked to write anything himself, and either recorded it on tape or had his assistants write everything. I even managed to avoid getting the writing style of other scientists and doctors. My handwriting is still legible." She offered.

Marlute Marlute nodded, settling back into his chair and closing his eyes, feeling suddenly exhausted. Taking Saerenna's advice he let his mind wander off, dreaming of the warm beaches of Costa Del Sol...It wasn't but 5 minutes before he'd fallen compeltely asleep, smiling contently. Saerenna grinned at him and sat back, crossing her legs again comfortably. She ordered a watered down drink and sipped it slowly. She found her eyes wandering to the two Descendants, but there still wasn't any threat, so she let herself relax again. ((Yeah, I really need to get a life...sitting at the computer chair almost all day, taking breaks to eat, maybe.... ^_^ Well, I have school tomorrow, so I won't be spending my WHOLE day here.... xd ))

"They won't do anything."
A voice finally spoke up from behind them. It was Rufus, watching them. Letting the three talk alone until he felt bored enough to join them. Gloves covered his hands in order to keep the unsightly vision of Geostigma from other's view. He was dressed in his old attire. The black turtleneck under his jacket keeping himself well covered as well. The only 'skin' shown being of course his head. Bandages around them usually were gone for now. Even he needed a break sometimes, and never was going to allow himself to be seen in public in a wheelchair. So, even if it worked his body harder, he walked instead. Stepping up to the table where the three were and pulling up a chair to join them. "Kadaj is their leader.. Normally they won't start trouble unless he commands it." His right hand came up to brush back those blonde strands, only to have them fall over his eyes a bit anyway..

She glances at the silver haired men and then back to Rufus, "I'll take your word for that. I wasn't too worried, but you can never tell." She felt almost guilty for having been talking to Marlute about how Rufus and Tseng were overworking him. Had Rufus been listening the whole time? Oh well, what had been said, was said and there was no changing that.

"There is a place for high Shin-Ra personel." The best explanation she was going to get as to where he was. Rufus nodded his head faintly, he had been there the entire time.. But then again, they were off duty. If it was the time when Rufus ruled by fear, he probably would have had something done to her for her words even if she was off duty. But the times had changed. And as long as Marlute did his work, his complaining while off the clock didn't matter to him. However the conversation was taken in and remembered for later use.. Maybe they would give the man at least a little bit more of a break.. Half the time it was to compensate for Reno's work as well, given the red headed Turk was horrible at paperwork IF he ever did it in the first place..

(fufufu~! ^^ I'm back!!! heart ))
Marlute rubbed his eyes sleepily, the soft murmur of voices echoing in his ears. He sat up, still half drowsy, and blinked a few times....trying to focus his vision. Suddenly the figure of Rufus Shinra came into view, and he straightened up immediately, bowing his head apologetically. "President Shinra!" He looked over at Saerenna, obviously wondering how long Rufus had been there, and how long he'd been asleep..."What a surprise to see you here, Sir....Especially by yourself, it's dangerous, though." He was a bit worried not only that he saw no one escorting the President, but also that he knew for a fact that there were two of Sephiroth's followers sitting not 5 feet from them.

Yazoo set down his drink and quietly watched TV for a few moments, but the news had been running for a while now, and was beginning to get rather dull. He sighed and picked up his glass for another sip, surveying the room again. When his eyes reached a small, secluded portion of the room, he choked on his drink in shock.
"L-Loz!!" He gasped, tapping his brother's shoulder with one hand, and struggling to subdue the alcohol which was now burning his throat with the other. "Over there...look!"
