Went to trader joe's yesterday and stocked my new shelf of the refgrigerator with great healthy snacks in indivudal servings, now I can snack healthily.

I'm finally back on track! I've been steadily losing weight all week and today I weighed 117.5! Go exercise and eating in moderation!

I've gained 7.4 pounds in the past month. Why in the world am I putting this in the YAY thread? Because I'm learning things that I didn't realize before.

For instance, I now know for a fact that I cannot bring cheesecake into my house. If I order a slice in a restaurant, I have one slice. If I bring an entire cheesecake home, I'm going to eat the entire thing. That's something I didn't want to know, and I wish I could've learned AFTER my cruise this coming August, but it's still a handy little piece of information to have.

I've learned that I'm in much better shape than I realized. I used to get tired after five minutes on the elliptical trainer, but now I can go half an hour and still feel like Wonder Woman. It's a confidence booster.

I've learned that I was wise to only take half of my skirts and blouses to the tailor to be taken in. Gaining a little weight back made that first half a bit tight, but I still have the other half, which haven't been altered yet, to wear until the second half fits well again.

I've learned that I need to stick with one of the two Weight Watchers nutritional plans as if it was part of my religion, because slip-ups are tasty for a few minutes and then they make me feel over-full, and I gain weight. A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips.

I've learned that I actually don't enjoy the fatty, sugary foods I used to love. When I wake up with a craving in the middle of the night, what I want now is either salad or sushi. Those are the healthiest foods, so apparently I really can change my tastes so that I'll crave what's good for me, and not really want what isn't good for me.

I've learned that the best thing I can do after a slip-up is forgive myself, move on, and start over with the very next meal -- not "at the start of the year," or "at the beginning of the month," or "at the beginning of next week," or even "tomorrow." Right now, today, RIGHT after my slip-up, I can start over. It's a powerful feeling.

Speaking of power, I've also learned that I'm still in charge of my weight loss. Nobody force-fed me cheesecake. I made the decision, I spent the money on cheesecake, I put it on my plate, and EVERY BITE I took was another chance to put down the fork instead and say, "No, that's enough." I was the one in charge, the whole time I was making my dietary mistakes. I'm still powerfully in control of my weight. All I have to do is exercise my power in the other direction now, and I'll be a lot closer to my goal by the time I go on my cruise in August.

I played my cello for half an hour, then played catch with my dad for another half an hour. 4laugh
The way I play cello, I do get a work out and get sweaty. >3<

AND, I ate very healthy today. Green peppers, grapes, Mini Wheats, salad and applesauce! Also, like Queen C, I was huuuungry after school and I was *this* close to breaking down and eating chips. But I diiiidn't.

My legs are really, REALLY thinning out. Like crazy. None of the rest of me has yet, but I kinda anticipated that; my legs are always the first place that ever gains/loses weight.

The best part is, is that even though I've lost a noticeable amount of fat, the scale says I haven't lost any pounds, which means I've been gaining muscle! Woo! whee

I gained back some of the weight that I've lost, about 14 pounds worth. I finally went to WW yesterday and had a lower weight... by 4.8 pounds from the previous week. Wow. I'm thrilled!

For the past 2 days I have rode my bike with my friends for more than 4 hours!
I feel great and healthy.
Plus, since I was reeking havoc with my friends it wasn't like a workout at all!
