"Certainly. Now be back before tomorrow dawn, and don't go picking up strange men..." He said, "And don't go drinking any blood in plain sight... though if you're thirsty, you should ask Dr. Gordon for a blood transfusion... I'm sure he'll oblige..."

~Fortune After a leisurely stroll through the village, Nicholas began the somewhat exerting climb up the rising valley slope. At the top of this - large - hill, rested a very tall tower indeed. It was almost frightening, actually. The mercenary found himself, about half an hour later, at the top of the hill, and at the foot of the large tower. He realized that he was standing... waiting, trying to figure out a way into this place just as he had stood outside the Gordon Clinic a mere hour before. It was evening now... wasn't it? ~ A caravan full of mail and supplies and such pulled into the village. It was carrying more than a few packages for a Mr. Fortune.

Star took the umbrella and walked out into the village. She spotted Nicholas at the foot of the tower. She walked towared the tower. As she got there she said, "Hi, Nicholas."

~Fortune Nicholas jumped, startled. He laughed when he saw who had greeted him. "Hello, Star. I didn't even hear you walk up. And... is that an umbrella?"

Laughing Star said, "Did i scare you? I'm sorry if i did. And yes it is what of it? i'm allergic to the sun." Star said to explain the reason of having the umbrella. Hope he buys the explanation. she thought.

~Fortune Nicholas looked up to examine the overcast skies. "You're taking a risk to be out and about, for sure. Especially..." he did not finish that sentence. Especially since a parasol would be much less heavier to hoist around, than a bulky umbrella."Nevermind," Nicholas cut himself off with a grin. Looking up again, the mercenary remembered where he was. Turning to gesture at the tower, he asked, "Do you know who lives here? Its... supposed to be a sorcerer - right?"

~Fortune "Indeed," Nicholas murmured to himself. He returned his gaze to Star and grinned. "Well now I'm here waiting, as there is no obvious way inside. And I can't seem to walk up and knock, now, can I?" His joking grin turned cryptic, before he laughed and shook his head. "I suppose I am stuck with waiting, now...." Silently, he pondered Star's status. He made himself a mental note to ask the good Doctor, Gordon, if Star really did have sun allergies. If she did not.... ((Gtg bye.))

Ulric descended down the steps of his tower, "They come! May the entry become visible!" A wooden door with metal hinges bolted in materialized on the tower. Ulric stood behind it.

~Fortune "That would be fine," Nicholas answered Star, still pondering her condition, however. Then, he remembered a small piece of his conversation with the Doctor, earlier that day. SPI -14 "That mansion? It belongs to the Bachel Family...oddly enough, they don't have any graves from earlier than 600 years ago, and they never come to the clinic... And the house is occupied with Bachels now... it's just... They don't come out during the day... I think it's an allergy to the sun. there's many documented cases back in my homeland... But now that I think about it, those Bachels never came to get immunized... weird, huh?"" , Nicholas thought. I can't jump to conclusions, but it seems as though... they're vampires.The mercenary did not have time to ponder this, however, as a door seemed to magically appear on the wall of the tower. He faced the door, a bit bewildered, but quickly recovered his composure. "Guess you won't have to," he replied without looking at Star. He waited for this mysterious door to open, because it didn't look very inviting at the moment.

Bella jumped at the sound of her master's booming voice echoing throught the halls of the great castle. The entrance hall had been cleaned and she was examening every inch of her surroundings for dust as he called for the door to appear. She hurried out of the room and ran up the stairs to wait in her chamber. If her master required her assistance, he would call for her, but for now she thought it best to wait out of the way.
