Gabriel burst into the room to find Shae and the woman he had been chasing, "What's going on?" he asked, leveling his gun at the unknown woman.

Shae looked up in surprise. "Gabriel! I thought you got hit!" Realizing he was armed, he said, "Chill, she's with us."

Gabriel let out a brief chuckle, "Please! How long have you known me?" he mocked, lowering his gun to his side, "What happened?" he asked, kneeling down next to Shae, "What's going on?" he repeated.

"Well Christ dude, I saw you get hit by a car!" He checked briefly on Mrs. Daley before leading Gabriel to Bush. "Gabe, Agent Bush. She's with LM."

"Well thanks for worrying, I guess." he said before turning to Bush, "Nice to meet you...LM? What are you doing here?" he asked.

"LM is closely allied with Bullfrog," Shae murmured so that Mrs. Daley wouldn't hear. "She's with us."

((Where the heck do you think I got the name?
Laura Bush. A good call back to both Syndicate and Tomb Raider. Yeeeeaaaaah.))
Mrs. Daley looked very confused. She knew where LM stood, and they were not allies with GM, and they were allied with Bullfrog, and they were almost cooperating. Two and two was clearly coming together. "You're... you're trying to kill him?" she demanded. Agent Bush shrugged, then snapped the thin side of her open hand into Mrs. Daley's neck. She collapsed, definitively unconcious. Agent Bush sighed. "Now, the kids, who probably snuck up on us with some sort of light automatic. And I don't think you understand," Agent Bush told Marcus. "Six there. More than you've got. I hope you have backup plans. And we're here for the same reason as you are. Killing Daley. We're not the focus, but you taking hits is just as bad." As she spoke, she turned, proving herself right. The young woman, who was now properly dressed, was holding an Uzi against her shoulder, the sights lined up on anyone and everyone. As in, she couldn't choose a target. "You're agents, right?" Agent Bush asked Marcus and Gabriel. "Or should I?"

Shae's gun whipped out of the holster and fired in a blur. He aimed to blow the Uzi out of her hands, and at this range it was a simple task for him.

((Aaaaaand Cado. Too late.))
Alyx moved in after Cado.
When they rounded the corner, they got a clearer picture of what Alyx was so concerned about. At least five or six police cars with lights flashing were parked in a little semi-circle around the house. Daley could just barely be seen by his slicked-back blond hair, just over the hood of one of the cars. Police were interspersed about the crowd.
To the observant eye, a few figures were splitting the crowd and rapidly moving towards Alyx and Cado.
Alyx, unfortunately, was too short to see.

The gun did in fact ricochet from her hands.
In a spray of metal.
With droplets of blood flying from a wide variety of entry points, the girl cried out in pain and collapsed heavily onto her back, barely catching herself on one elbow. The Uzi was ruined, and went pleasantly flying into a glass vase, which shattered. Agent Bush nodded approval.
"Now. My car will do to get us down there," Bush informed them. Her speech was slowing slightly, as she was apparently running down from her adrenaline impulse. A little sluggishly, she turned and gestured for them to follow her with her pistol.

"Oh s**t," Shae gasped. "I'm so sorry!" He took a step towards the girl, but his team was already leaving and he knew he had little time. Torn, he looked back and forth. "I'm sorry," he whispered before following them out.

Cado saw the figures closing on him. He dropped a smoke grenade, primed for 10 seconds, as he walked, readying his Longshot with the other hand.

((Mmm, I wonder what happened to Amelie. We'll PM her some time when I'm not sneaking onto the computer like a little rat.))
The smoke went off. The people around began to first look confused, but then as the smoke spread, entered a sort of panic mode. They made all sorts of efforts to get clear, and in the press, Alyx and Cado had difficulty holding still. Alyx shook her head. "How do we keep going?" she asked Cado, as they were being pulled back into their own smoke. Then suddenly Alyx disappeared within the smoke, her arm grasped by a gloved and coated hand and forearm. Another agent burst from the smoke. He looked very militant and very non-subtle, given the pitch-black skin and the clearly metal irises. His left hand went to grab Cado's neck; the other cocked back into what could only be described as a Falcon Punch.
((No, I couldn't resist.
And if you resist, you will be FALCON PUNCHED.))
---
Bush ushered them into her car. "We probably don't have long," she told Marcus and Gabriel. "If we're fast, we might at least save one or two lives. How many do you have?" she asked, backing out of the front yard without waiting for any buckling or weapons securing or anything like that.
---
Inside, the girl picked herself up with a cry and a flood of tears. She limped over to her mother, checked her pulse - it was still there, still strong. She was alive. Her brother had departed, running to the nearest safe place he knew of. That was just as well. He would've gotten a gun, the cocky b****rd. Instead she limped over to the phone, biting her lip almost to the point of bleeding to prevent herself from screaming. She threw herself onto the ground next to the phone, pulled it off the hook, and dialed 9-1-1.
"Hello? Yes, there's been an emergency. Agents. Lockheed and Bullfrog. Yes, they were after my father, John Daley. Yes, they're armed. Yes, we're hurt. My mother has... six wounds in the arm and leg, and I've been injured by a disintegrating firearm. Yes, we need assistance.

The Falcon Punch soon had its fire provided by the first half of the Longshot's discharge, which went onto his arm; the other half spread along the Agent's face, neck and torso.
That agent out-of-commission for the moment, Cado swung a belt of smoke grenades that broke in midair, scattering them throughout the crowd. The whole area was a mess of difficult-to-breathe gas by this point. Cado dropped to the ground, crawling under the barely-lighter-than-air gas towards Alyx's feet, a frag grenade in hand.
