Kaida was going to lie again, but Kale's stare was too powerful. "Because....I...." She faltered...She knew what she would say, but didn't know how he would take it.

"No...I don't want to be human...but...." She faltered again. Sighed, she would tell him the truth. "Let's just say..." She said quietly, "that you couldn't leave...." She said, hoping he would know what she meant. She looked at him through her eyelashes, awaiting his response.

Kaida had a list of reasons, but none seemed good. "Because. Your sweet, sweeter then all I know. And quite handsome..." Kaida chuckled, but then grew silent. She added quietly. "Because you opened my eyes to a different world..."
