"N-nothing. Just giving myself the spooks for no reason." Lily laughed and pulled Nicholas towards the front door. Then tugged on the handle and expected it to be stuck but the door easily gave way and opened out to the front yard. It was sunny now and the leaves on the ground were placed just so it didn't look like they had been disturbed at all the day before. Lily took Nicholas outside for a look around. She walked to the egde of the cliff and looked down. She couldn't even see the bottom.

A ray of light found it's way through the branches of a tree and struck Eliza on her cheek. It didn't cause her any pain, but she immediately recoiled into the shadows. "Viktor! You're letting the daylight in! Stop trimming the branches!"
"My apologies, miss... I was trying to make them nice for you..."
Eliza sunk back towards the house, clinging to the side like the grass was hot lava. "C...come children... the plants don't like to grow with us watching them... Let's go back inside..." Eliza shuffled to the door and let herself in. Viktor ushered the kids to follow. He had to pick Matt up off the ground by his collar because he had no clue what was going on yet.

Nicholas gladly went with Lily, enjoying being pulled along enough. The sun on his face and the wind in his hair felt quite nice and to an extent very refreshing. When they came to a stop he wondered how it felt so different and why they were standing still. But sliding his right foot forward slowly, he felt the edge of something, unable to grab another piece of land his foot pulled back tightly next to the other one. "What's that?" He muttered quietly.

"A cliff..." Lily took a step back, pulling Nicholas with her. "The house faces a cliff... That means there should be an opening in the backyard to get inland. C'mon..." She started walking around the house to the back. She heard voices for a moment, but then a door shut and they were gone.

Nicholas was terribly afraid of her answer. The house stood on a mountain or something, surrounded by a huge fall? Oh dear lord what on earth?
Sighing, he kept up with Lily dragging him along. Hopefully she would be right, and all this constant action was forcing him to ignore any background sounds.

Lily walked around to the backyard and saw a small garden, a swing set, a cemetary, and a lonely shack way in the back. The backyard was much bigger then the first. There were trees past the shack, so Lily couldn't tell if the yard ended there or if it kept going to the mainland. "Ah, this place is huge..."
Lily took a few steps into the yard. Should she venture into the cemetary? She looked up at the sky seeing that she still had a few hours of daylight. Nothing spooky happened in the day. "There's a small shed in the back... We're going to check it out, ok?" Lily pulled Nicholas along, more carefully this time. The last thing she'd want it to make Nicholas fall onto someone's grave.

Nicholas would disagree with wandering too much but he had to go with Lily to please her and to stay for support. He squeezed tighter on her hand but of course still to some extent gently. Taking note of her warmth and smoothness. His face was pointed blankly at the ground, not that he knew that exactly and his eyes didn't need to be anywhere. "Alright, just be careful." He spoke up, hoping she wouldn;'t hurt herself with all this curiosity.

Lily creeped through the cemetary being very careful not to walk on a grave and steer Nicholas clear of them. When they got to the shed, Lily let go of Nicholas' hand for a moment. She grabbed onto the window sill and pulled herself up. She saw a few gardening tools, like a shovel. There was some ropes and bags, most likely filled with seeds. Nothing unusual. She tried to open the door, but it was stuck.
"Just a tool shed. It might have things we could use, but I can't get it open. I think I'll just leave it for now." She sighed then looked towards the forest. "Do you want to go back to the house... maybe continue tomorrow morning or do you want to try for tonight?" She felt bad suddenly for constantly dragging Nicholas along without his consent.

Nicholas pressed his hands together when she let go and stood still, trying to look to the direction of her voice. "We really shouldn't stay out I think, it's also easier to see in day light." He replied quietly. Thinking of the shed, he figured the host would have the keys, though they couldn't ask really, could they? And a forest, treading there in this place seemed much worse than the idea of wandering into the basement of the creepy house.

Lily nodded. "Yeah. You're right... We can try again tomorrow." She took Nicholas' hand again and walked back towards the house. The soil in the cemetary seemed softer then earlier but to the untrained senses, it would go unnoticed. Soon enough they were back at the house. They entered the side door this time, into the dining room.

Nicholas wondered how the soil had changed like so if they already came this way.. It was much more gentle under his step, giving in more, softer. Not wanting to think about what might be on the ground he ignored it gladly. He felt rather hungry though, not eaten yesterday nor today. He tried to dismiss his stomach ache and just keep together with Lily.

Once inside, Lily and Nicholas found themselves in the dining room with Eliza, Ana and Matt all sitting around the table. The room smelled like a big turkey dinner or something.
"I knew we had more guests..." Eliza covered her mouth with a napkin. "Please sit... It's rude to keep yur hosts waiting... especially when we've prepared a lovely dinner for you..."

Nicholas' ears twitched when someone else spoke. He was asked to sit but.. he was with Lily, and well now it just was embarrassing. Maybe they'd understand..? His blank eyes stared into the constant nothingness as usual towards the 'hosts'. He wondered how many there were, but the idea of dinner was very kind of them.

Lily moved towards the table and directed Nicholas towards a chair. She tried to make it not so obvious that he was blind to the other guests. Then she sat down beside him. "I'm really sorry miss... We were just looking around outside... we didn't mean to be late."
"Outside? I hope you found it interesting... Tonight for dinner we have french toast, spaghetti, steak, turkey, fruit, salad... well... everything I love to eat... enjoy, dears..." The table was all set with all sorts of delicious foods. Lily drooled but in the back of her mind, she thought it might be poison. "Uh... Nicholas. Would you like me to make your plate?" She tried to sound polite.

Nicholas took a seat, Lily was being ever so careful for him and with him. He couldn't repay such kindness. When the food was listed his hunger grew, all those delicious foods. His head turned towards Lily's voice when she asked to help him some more. "If you wouldn't mind, yes please Lily, thank you." He spoke softly before turning his head forwards again. He bowed his head slightly as a sign of respect. "Thank you for going to all this trouble for us." He said and tried to smile. He rested his hands on his lap, hoping not to cause too much fuss.
