[Enter from Unknown Location]  Shadows lengthened from the nearby woods toward the main gates. Literally forming directly from the shadow was a man cloaked in black trenchcoat, gasmask, and fedora. Goggled eyes glance to the gate. "I've finally found the place," Nightshade comfirms his statement by looking at the brochure for Xavier's school. "I hope this Charles Xavier might be able to help me..."

Nightshade surveyed the damage done to Xavier's mansion. "Well.... This was unexpected."The man cloaked in darkness pulls out a control box and points it at the gate. The gate opens after Nightshade depresses a button on his small hand-held box. Carefully striding onto the grounds, the masked vigilante makes his way to the ruined school. "God, I hope no one was seriously hurt here," Nightshade uttered out loud. It may have been a vain hope, but the doctor always hated to see children hurt or suffering. While searching the wreakage for survivors, Nightshde discovers the basement levels intact. "Hello, what have we got here? HELLO! IS ANYBODY DOWN THERE?!"After waiting a few moments and hearing no reply, Nightshade proceeded down the metalic stairwell...

Nightshade began to explore the underground complex, marveling at the technology he was seeing as he went.
Who are these people? Military? Star Labs?
Eventually, Nightshade reached the med bay.
"Oh my God... CCH didn't have anything like this."
Nightshade stared at the most advanced medical room he has ever seen. Everything was well-labelled for easy use: anything from surgical equipment to hermatically sealed pharmaceuticals [from a large supply of the most common medicines to a some rare and expensive drugs].
Nightshade finds one the labs next door, the first things he recognizes are a electron microscope and a CT scanner. Next, he checks the still active cold storage...
"Stem cells? What were they doing here?"

The next room that Nightshade found was the Danger Room. The masked vigilante walked into the control room, "What is this, a testing room?"
He started checking the controls, and then Nightshade was being promted for a password, "Authorization please."
"Oh great," The dark crusader grabbed his control box from his belt and plugged it into one of the USB sockets.
I hope this works, he thought to himself as he struck two buttons on his device to attempt to decript the password. After a few agonizing seconds, Nightshade got his result -- Password accepted.
The man blew a sigh of relief and glanced at the display of his remote, "I'm not sure who or what 'Lillandra' is, but it worked. Well, well. It looks like I now have adminitrative access..."
"Good morning, Professor. How may I be of assistance?"

Nightshade continued his examination of the Danger Room, or rather, the archived files in the computer. He learned about different Danger Room scenarios, and how it worked.
From there, Nightshade found the X-Men profiles and the profiles of their allies and enemies. All those in the files, the doctor had no idea who any of them were.
"This is like 'Through the Looking Glass' without the Mad Hatter."
As time passed, Nightshade studied Xavier's students, past and present. Also, he began to use the Danger Room himself to begin to harness his powers and abilities.
Also, Nightshade continued his exploration of the sub-levels, and he found the holding cells, the hangar, and finally accessed the War Room...

The War Room though damaged, Dr. Powell could tell the room's function, "These X-Men must have been connected to the world's satellite network... Spying on other nations... factions... " The vigilante shrugged, "From the files I've seen, these people were defending themselves and other mutants around the world..." Desmond found the term "mutant" odd. He had memories of watching old TV show like the Twilight Zone and the Outer Limits. The hatred within the world was something Des could understand, having dealt with racial hatred personally. Looking over the ruined War Room, "I've got a lot of work to do."

Nightshade continued his work, finally getting the War Room up and running. From here the vigilante reviewed the current listed threats to the "X-Men." Most recently, Nightshade found a few hidden compartments.
In one of these compartments, Des found a copy of the Xavier Protocols, a listing of every mutant on the planet -- and how to kill them if they became too powerful.
The fact that Xavier created the documents scared Des. "Are these documents why this place was torn apart? A key to a mutant holocost. My God. And what am I going to do with this? Can't just let it lay around."
Des came to a decision. He phased the protocols into a underground chamber with no access to the outside nor the underground complex to never see the light of day...
Des later was munching on a ham sandwich, monitoring current events from the War Room. Before Des had brought everything online, he set the comm traffic to "ghost" the War Room from everyone -- including the X-Men communicators.
While monitoring the comm traffic, Des noticed several X-Men signals operating from Stark Enterprises, "What the?"

From what Des was picking up, at least one X-man was talking to Sabertooth.
Isn't Sabertooth supposed to be a criminal?
Then, he was getting something about some kid being undercover, and then her boss showed up.
????
'Rogue' appearantly switched her comm off. Des waited about a minute before switching Rogue' comm back on...

Des noticed that Rogue's comm, even though it was open and on, seemed to be slient, Oh darn.
Nightshade let the comm switch itself off and let it stay that way. His right hand cradled his chin, Okay, what are you and Sabertooth doing over with a rich, playboy industrialist?
With a few keystrokes, Nightshade floated the ghosting program to make it appear that it was coming from different places, and then let it go dead.
I hope this works. Then, I'll have to do my own investigating.

Des looks around, "What the..." Nightshade uses his darkforce to port to the emergency generators and turns them on. After a few moments, power is restored, and Des ports back to the War Room.
While, at first, he believed that he was being targeted, now Des can see on screen that most of the Eastern Seaboard was affected...
Then the screens get bombarded by cartoons, and the hairs on the back of Des neck raised.

When the power finally stopped going crazy and the cartoons shut off. Des immediately began running diagnostics on all systems, and asked the computer, "Where was the origin of the power fluctuations?"

The computer display shows Desmond shows Gotham City, but it is unable to narrow it down further.
"Hmmm. Is there anybody else paying attention to this?"
"I don't think so, Sir."
"Well, keep Gotham under watch... This seems awfully familiar to me."
"Of course, tracking mutants in Gotham, now."
Nightshade nodded in approval, "Let me know, if you find anything relating to this."
