"I'm afraid Julian can't do that at the moment. His mind is a bit... preoccupied. Nothing I did of corse, but apparently I have to make note of it when I'm not doing something terrible." Karisa added.

The thoughts became louder and louder in Julians mind, screaming to be heard over the other thoughts. When he tried to listen to one, another would screech through his mind and cut him off. He fell to the floor, shivering.

"Educated guess. In fact I would say that too if not for that fact that I can hear what's in his mind. Tell me, are the adolescent years not when young werewolves gain their first or new powers?" Karisa asked, strongly hinting towards the truth.

Julian clamped his eyes shut and put his hands over his ears, but he couldn't drown out the thoughts. They became as loud in his head as someone talking right next to him. They drowned out the words of everyone in the room.

"That's only the beginning. He'll get used to it within a few minutes."

Julian listened to the voices only now. There were three voices in his thoughts. Not including his own thoughts. He began to sort of organize them into three different sections, each for a different voice. As he went into his mental world, all physical things disappeared from existence. There was only his mind. In the physical world, his face went soft and his body relaxed. In his mind he was working on the thoughts like three different stereos. He would turn the volume up or down and make it however he needed to get peace, but still hear each one clearly. He went back into the physical world and opened his eyes. "I- I think I'm okay now."

What's going on? A couple of the voices echoed in his head. Any moment now, he'll figure it out. Another said. "I... I think... I got a power." Is that the best he could come up with? Oi! Boy! Think harder! What power?! The same voice echoed back. "I think I can... read minds." There you go, boy. Much better.

One of the voices was struggling to make itself unheard. "It doesn't work like that. Sorry." Get out of my head! The same voiced reminded him. "Sorry. I have as much control over it as you do."

"I can't just turn it off, dude. Your voice just pops up in my head and there's nothing I can do about it." Julian said, shrugging.
"See? The boy understands it completely now. Better than I can say for myself. Took me a while to figure out what was going on. Oh and here's a warning that I had to learn the hard way, be sure not to walk by any movie theaters where a porno is showing." Karisa joked.

"Better that than him learning the way I had to." Karisa said. Without meaning to, she remembered the time.

"Ahhh!! Karisa could you PLEASE repress that memory!!!" Julian complained.

"My bad. Didn't mean to." Karisa said, quickly repressing the thoughts from her head.

"I think I could get used to this... Not that bad." Julian said, standing back up and leaning against a wall.

"Well neither do I. I'd rather have like... time manipulation or something." Julian said.
"I didn't want the power either, but it proved itself useful."
