Though A'Hallei had more food on his plate than Makenna, he finished faster. Still, he was full and warm, and pretty pleased both with himself and that Makenna listened to him, and that they were sorting things out. A'Hallei was devoted entirely to Makenna, and wanted to see him as happy and healthy as possible. Their waiter came up and took his plate and dropped the check. Since Makenna worked there, they had a discount, but it was still easily paid for.

Though A'Hallei had little knowlege of money, he did know math, and knew that if the numbers on the green bills matched the number on the bottom of the check, everything was good.

And so, a twenty was laid upon the white paper with the order, which was more than enough to pay for the dinner, and A'Hallei still had quite a lot left. He patiently waited for his lover to finish, hands still enclasped.

Sticking the change in his pocket, A'Hallei stood and accompanied Makenna at the door, pushing it open and relieved to find much of the crowd had dissapated. People still stared at him, after all, how often did a starkly white preteen go walking about in public?

He retreated to Makenna's side as they walked, shooting his own suspicious gaze around, to make sure no one tried anything. He was angry enough with the punks who dared touch his love, so his thresh hold for how much crap he'd take was reduced to almost nothing.

Of course, that thresh hold only applied to those who's names did not start with 'Ma'and ended with 'Kenna'

"I have work. You should sleep." A'Hallei said to him, sparing Makenna a glance to watch him munch a cracker with approval.

A'Hallei had much more reason to practice speaking recently. While it was by no means easy for him, it came faster than before, and would likely improve, though A'Hallei would never become much of a talker. Absently he fondled the sheathed knife hidden under his pants. Nervous habit really. If he had his gauntlets he'd likely be more relaxed, but wearing armour would just lead to MORE attention.

"Forge is dirty, full of smoke and soot...hot. Good working there." A'Hallei said. He stopped as Makenna began to quietly murr to himself, and his steps began to sway with exhaustion. He was glad home was close by, his love needed to sleep.

Soon enough the fringe of the forest came into view, and before long the tree that sported the well concealed house was before them.
"Up." He commanded. He wanted to be underneath Makenna, should he fall, A'Hallei would be below, and could catch him.

A'Hallei scaled the ladder and pulled it up at the same time in some feat that took a bit of skill. He'd had enough of leaving it down. Up in the treehouse, a mere instant flickered by as A'Hallei shucked his denim jeans and grasped his love, hefting Makenna into his arms and carrying him to bed.

Laying his young lover into the sheets, A'Hallei pulled off his tunic and the chain mail shirt beneath it, leaving himself almost completely nude. His taut stomach muscles rippled slightly with the action. Disengaging his dagger, A'Hallei soon was snuggling into the bedsheets with Makenna, wrapping his chilled arms around the boy's frame.

A'Hallei was NEARLY nude. He still had on his underwear, and various bandages wrapped about his limbs. He helped Makenna pull off his sweater and tossed it to the floor, reaching down to undo the fly of his pants. Nothing was more irritating than tight pants after one has eaten.

Swathing the two of them in blankets, A'Hallei curled up with his beloved, cradling Makenna to him until the younger boy fell asleep, which fortunately was not too long. He stayed up until he was absolutely positive Makenna had dropped off, and only then let the dark insanity of unconciousness overtake him.

A'Hallei suffered a small coughing fit during the night, it wasn't that bad, but it was enough to wake him and disengage him from Makenna to stand out on the balcony to keep from waking him. But he returned to bed and that was the end to that.

Makenna's stirring was enough to rouse him, and soon he was dressing, brushing out his long white locks and braiding it. By the time breakfast was ready A'Hallei was decked out in full regale, buffed to a nice shine.
He sat at the table and waited patiently, watching his love's backside with a dreamy expression. How he admired Makenna.

Jam, a sugary sweet fruity goo that was positively delectable. A'Hallei was only too eager to smear gobs of it onto the toast and cram it into his mouth, a face of joy as he chewed it. Mmm...toast...

The toast vanished like slabs of dry ice, leaving only crumbs on the plate. Makenna wanted to go to the store?
"Salmon." He said with a smile. He couldn't get enough of it. What else did they need? Oh! "Chowder." It was a delicious milky soup that warmed very very well. Plus it had potatoes, which was right up there with toast.

"Grapes." He added with finality. There were a few things they could use, such as a small generator and a mini fridge.
