Brindle was silent for a moment as Zephre tended the wounds for a second time. "If the healer thinks you should stay put...Then you can look after the cubs with him while Bianca and Sahari are away." With that she nodded to the white tigress. It was time to go. "Mahora, as outrider second and with no leader chosen yet I suggest choosing another outrider to accompany you to the council." That said Brindle started for the cave.
Zephre had managed to stem the bleeding in fairly short order and the fur around the cuts had now been stained a nice dark green due to the leaves' dye. When that was done he tore off a bit of meat from one of the kills made the previous night and gently laid a small light green plant ontop, taking this to Calyn. "The herb is bitter, and it is more effective if eaten with food." He paused for a moment, then added. "It is only for a little while."
The tiger found out Azure as the sun began to warm the golden plains. The ocelot did not look like he had enjoyed the night. He set something in front of the small cat before he spoke. "Raiden says I am to take you to a cave on the other side of the cliffs. We will wait for him there. He also says that this is for you." The thing he had set down was a small chunk of meat from the latest pride kill. Raiden had anticipated that hunting the pride lands and avoiding detection would be difficult.

Calyn glared at the ground, ears against her head. "What's it for?" she asked quietly, bitterly. A meeting about an attack on her, and she wouldn't be there.
Tami watched Calyn, looking to her mentor a moment later. "Zephre, it's not that far. If it's stemmed it shouldn't start again, and if I were to go with her just to make sure nothing happened. I know how to stop it, you've shown me what to do..." she trailed off, catching Calyn's hopeful look out of the corner of her eye. "And, she is the Hunter's Second. She can't not be there, especially because it was about what happened to her. And I doubt Calyn would want to look like she doesn't have the strength to go..." she added.

Cirro nodded slowly, understanding her preference for the forests. Clouded leopards were excellent tree-climbers, sure-footed, and able. He blinked as Mira grinned, and his own smile grew a bit wider. "I'd enjoy hunting together," he replied quietly, his whiskers twitching. "However, I think we will have to wait for the council to make their decision," he added, gesturing to Brindle's urgent manner as she trotted back and forth in an apparant rush.
Sahari blinked, and slipped to her paws, padding to Bianca's side. "During the council, the cubs will be back in the den, right?" she asked her leader, hackles bristling slightly. She never liked leaving the cubs alone if she could help it.

"Of course, as it always is," Bianca answered, standing up. "We may as well go ahead and get them inside so they'll settle down a bit before we have to leave."
Bianca let out a short junting growl which the cubs knew to be the worse sound. Dissappointed groans were emited as they went back to the den, following Sahari or Konya. Bianca stayed back and remarked the territories around the cubs playing area and gave a roar when teh process was complete. She then picked up Sophia in her mouth when she found her lagging behind from her small stature.

She nodded "More than likely." She watched Brindle and the others then yawned. Mira was happy that she wouldn't have to hunt by herself, even though she was capable she would rather hunt with someone else. "It will be nice to hunt with another."

Sahari nodded in response, turning to lead the cubs back to the den. Bianca's growl rolled through the air, and Sahari tapped Daniel on the shoulder with her tail, guiding him back to the den. He seemed disappointed, yet all the cubs were upset that their play-time had been cut short. The stocky Sand Cat herded the cubs back into the den, and paused just by the entrance, waiting for Bianca to appear.
Grumbling quietly, Jasper picked himself off of Jacqueline. "C'mon, we haveta go back," he meowed, nudging her gently before scampering off after his mother and the other Den-Watchers. His tail twitched, and he was distracted by a moth fluttering among the tall grasses that bordered the path. "Pretty!" he grinned a toothy grin, and pounced forward, paws reaching above him to try and capture the moth's gray wings between his claws, but his sudden movements alerted it to its hunter. The moth escaped, and Jazzie rolled past, tumbling through the grasses. Jasper, slightly disappointed at his miscapture, watched it flap away until it disappeared among the golden-green stalks before returning to the path, slipping back into line, hoping not to get into trouble for his small adventure.
Cirrocumo watched the Den-Watches lead the cubs back into the main den. With a small smile as he noted a small panther, Konya's son, try and pounce after a moth; the young tom either was not suited for the life of a Hunter, or else he had much to learn. Still grinning at the thought, Cirro nodded in response to Mira. His mahogany eyes found her amber ones. "Yes, it would be - we certainly have different techniques than the others," he responded thoughtfully. Often, the Pride had practised driving prey under a tree in which Cirro hid, and he'd jump down and help take down their quarry, this tactic using everyone's skills to their advantage. But Cirro had never hunted with another of his species by themselves with no other interferance; it'd be a nice change.

Konya followed behind sahari, growling to tell the cubs to stay in line. She saw jasper go off the path, she walked over to him and picked him up by the scruff of his neck. She growled slightly letting him know he was in trouble. She cought up to sahari and followed next to her.

"It's weird hunting with the pride. I'm so used to hunting in the trees." Mira held his gaze for a moment before looking away, the intire reason she had left the pride yesterday was because of her last hunt. She had gotten mad that she had to hunt with the prides way and she couldn't seem to get it down. She sighed wondering if she would ever adjust fully to life in the pride.

Mahora nodded and padded back to the den in which Thela and he had rested. He gently nudged the jaguar with his head.
"Thela, come. I'd like you to accompany me to the meeting," he said softly.
------
Azure's head lifted as the tiger dropped the meat in front of him. He downed it all with ease, not having eaten in at least a day. He nodded, then motioned for the other cat to lead the way.
------
Jacqueline mewed in surprise as Jasper pounced. She rolled over so he was beneath her, and playfully bit his paw. She let out a soft sigh as Jasper nudged her, telling her it was time to go back. She trotted to the front of the pack, and plopped herself down in a corner as soon as she was in the den.

Brindle fixed Tami with a hard stare. Finally she sighed, the young leopard had a point. "Very well. Zephre I trust you don't mind us borrowing your apprentice?" "Not at all." Came the lion's eventual reply. He would rather have his patient where he could keep an eye on her, but saw little harm in his apprentice's suggestion. "Tami, take the rest of the herbs with you. We'll go in search of more when you return. In the mean time..." Zephre padded over to Bianca, giving her an exaggerated bow, dipping one paw under his chest and throwing the other out in front of him. "Please allow me to help Konya mind the cubs while you are away."
Brindle nodded to Calyn before moving closer and keeping her voice to a low whisper. "We need to find out who our allies are. I'm hoping this council will help with that." Brindle withdrew, making it look like she was just checking her second's injuries. For now, she trusted very few. "Lets go then, we're wasting daylight." She glanced at Kiros, asking with an expression if he was ready as well.
The council cave was the only cave visible from the main den. The others were hidden by folds of ancient stone or too small or low to be spotted. Inside was cool and dry, the scents of many other cats lingering after they had sheltered in it last night. Brindle walked slowly to the back, climbing up a shallow incline to sit just in front of a ledge about half her height off the ground. The ledge skirted most of the cave and dipped in places. It was on the highest points that the leaders usually sat, the lower parts of the ledge were reserved for seconds and the floor was for the rest of the pride. Now though, Brindle wanted a small council that could be conducted in low voices and not easily overheard, so she sat on the floor and waited for the others to take their places.

Calyn gave the apprentice a greatful look, nodding to what Brindle said. She went after her, moving more carefully than usual. She settled down beside the huntress leader once they reached the cave, glad they were the first ones there.
"Thanks Zephre." Tami murmured, giving her mentor a thankful lick just in front of his ear before she grabbed the herbs in her mouth and ran after the huntresses. She made Calyn show her the wounds once in the cave, adding a little more to stem the few spots of blood starting to show. She then moved back, sitting behind and to the side of Calyn, to be both out of the way and able to watch the panther-lioness.

Konya laid down a bit far from the dens entrance and sat jasper down in front of her. She whistled to let the cubs know to come to her while the other den-watchers left. They started to climb and play with her as they came in. She held jasper where he was and started to clean him. "You know better than to go out of the boundary lines, i've told you it's very dangerous for little cubs like you. There's no telling what's hiding in the grass waiting to grab you." She continued licking him affectionately. "You know not to worry me like that."

Bianca entered the den, putting Sophia down and tapping her bum with her nose to give her a jump start on her run to the other cubs. "You all be good for Konya. If I hear anything, anything at all, no outside play for two days. Is that clear?"
Bianca paused at Zephre's words and bow. "That would be wonderful. But, you are to only helper allowed in this cave. You and Tami are the only outsiders allowed while I am gone. I do not feel like re-enforcing my dominance on anyone today," she laughed softly, exiting the den after bowing to Zephre in a thank you and licking a few cubs goodbye.
Stepping outside the den, Bianca's voice echoed through the plains in a vicious territorial roar to reaffirm her dominance to anyone within a couple acre radius.

((I'm sorry for not being on the past couple days, had a buisy weekend.))
Kiros followed Brindle and Calyn into the council cave and took his place on the floor sitting back on his legs looking very proud but also humble at the same time. He could not beleive himself that he was in the council cave. This was a place he never dared to enter unless he was invited. He looked around the cave studying it and all the places.

Jasper fidgeted as his mother's rough tongue swept over him. "I know, Mom, but there was a moth. A moth! It couldn't have hurt me at all," he protested, his golden eyes wide. His tail flicked, jumping about as if it had a mind of his own. "Are you done yet? I wanna play!" He tried escaping his mother's hold by climbing over Konya's right forepaw which lay in front of him.
Sahari smiled grimly as Bianca stepped back outside, her call ringing around the savannah in warning. "Let's go," she called quietly, her hackles bristling as she tried to make her words sound less of an order and more of an invitation. She didn't want to order around her leader, but the Sand Cat was anxious to get this council meeting over and done with. She hated leaving the cubs alone for more than five minutes - even that set her in a mood.
"Yes, I understand," Cirro meowed, noding his head. Ears swivelling around as Bianca's call echoed around the territory, he blinked as Mira looked away. His smile was washed away, to be replaced by a thoughtful frown. The Clouded Leopard seemed to sense his companion's feelings of uncertainty, and his tail twitched. He had never thought someone else might feel the same way he did, depsite him having grown up in the Pride.
