zukpager305 if he didn't have his bag... how did he get iroh's sandal? He left it on Appa's saddle? sweatdrop xp Okay, really no clue. Should that be another loop hole? Because this finale is starting to look like friggen swiss cheese. :/ Unless, he has the bag, and the swords themselves got left behind. emo

Zuko had a backpack, and that might have been in Appa's saddle, the swords, however were near his little makeshift bed. So, during the cave in, after he saved Katara, they might have been buried in the rubble.

XD Besides, no matter how it ended, I liked the finale, at best, and nothing's going to change that Bryke really screwed us over with Kataang at the end. Besides, there's always fanfiction and fanart. THAT is my canon. wink

I had a talk with one of my DeviantArt buddies, who I held in extreme light. She was nice, caring, she doesn't nor does she curse, ever. And she tells me that she has always supported Kataang. I look at my PC with such a raised eyebrow, I might as well be called "Zuko" in that moment. For it looked like I only had one to begin with!
She goes on to say that Aang is deserving of Katara, and she knew Zutara would never happen since there was not alot of evidence to go on. (Snort) Not alot of- (Laughing darkly)
So, let's see: The sun and the moon. Water and fire being called opposites. Fire being deemed "destructive" at the first time in the series, and later it's said to grant, if not BE "life" itself. And then we have Water, which is life giving, but then we learn it's negative. (Bloodbending) And then Zuko and Katara themselves change, just as the views of their elements do. Zuko becomes more calm, and open to people. While Katara gets to be more spitfire-like and all that.
So, no development my a**. :/

A part I thought was pretty cool was when the past avatars were speaking through Aang.

Katara is not a prize to be one through good behaviour - she's a person who chooses who she likes based on her own emotions and thoughts.
And you're right about the symbolism and development - huge evidence for them. Plus, twenty or so videos worth of evidence in the ZEFTID series. And, you know, the changes in Zuko and Katara's relationship throughout the entire series. Seriously, they've always been developing and changing with each other.

I had no grievances towards him till I realized how much his friends sacrificed and how little he sacrificed. It reminded me of Harry Potter. Jk...sort of

Y'all make really good points about Zutara evidence. But at the end of the day, Bryke decided to make Katara snog the twelve year old.
...we can't really do anything about it, can we? Except curse them to oblivion with vulgar synonyms? =P
Oh, unless either of you know how to use the Imperius curse. wink
But, Aang is NOT deserving of Katara. I read an essay floating about dA, somewhere, that Aang doesn't love Katara enough to deserve her.
I have to agree.
Aang's first love is, and will always be Appa. His people. Katara comes third to all that.
In fact, I'm not even sure if he loves Katara at all. He's twelve, for crying out loud! His feremones aren't even all in check! He needs to sit back, and take a deep breath and figure out if he really DOES love her.
Guh. I shall be at peace. PEACE. *meditates*

He does always seem to be more concerned about Appa then Katara. Appa didn't want to go through the cave(Both in the cave of two lovers and the southern raiders) So Aang puts everyone's including Katara's life in danger. And I think your right about the whole taking a step back thing. They say Kataang is going to stay together but how can such a relationship were one does not truly love the other(at least not sohwn by Katara) last when everyday strong couples who have gone through so much and shared affections break up and move forward. A relationship between a 12 year old and 15 year old lasting forever. Only on Nick

And even if he does 'love' her, it would be the same love all middle school kids fel for the first boyfriend or girlfriend - they do like them a lot, but that doesn't mean they're destined to be together forever. :/
As another Avatar/Zutara fan said once, the only couple that has yet to say "I love you" (and could actually honestly say that, at this point) is Sokka and Suki. Seriously. Look at everything they've been through, and they're still together and going strong.
On another note, it's not even Aang's love for Katara coming in third next to everything else. It's the fact that he is a selfish, immature kid who avoids responsibilities, doesn't learn anything, and is a general brat that makes me think he doesn't deserve anything, let along the 'love of his life'. Seriously. You don't jeopardize the fate of the world because you have a crush on the first girl you ever met. :/

However, I think they're gonna get some karmic butt-kicking soon. People over at Capstara are apparently planning some sort of Zutara freak-out at ComicCon. I'm not sure what one, but it'll happen sometime.
As for me, I've been filling my daydreams with ways to get payback at them. Mostly it's just impossible ideas that will never happen, but it helps me cope. emo
