Roran had a blank expression on his face. He hadn't thought of that. "Good point. A hunter walking into Aduial's castle is not something that would make them very happy." Continuing in silence a bit, he finally got himself to speak up. "Thank you, milady." As they rode, the scenery was stunning, as it had been at the Mereth castle. Roran had never seen such beauty before. As the day passed, though, he realized that they needed to go faster. Is this the fastest this horse can go? At this pace we'll take two days to get to the castle! As if the horse heard his thoughts, it picked up speed. Roran was surprised at this. He knew he had a natural understanding with animals, but that was because he was a hunter. Something like this had never happened. What the hell? How can he understand me? It didn't occur to him for another few moments, but he had a hunch. Maybe my wizard blood is reacting with being in Mereth. That would be awsome.

She just tilted her head a little, somewhat surprised that he hadn't thought of that, it had been rather obvious to her. "Not at all. I know I wouldn't have been until you explained your reason for being there." She mused, blinking again as he called her milady. "Roran, please. Call me Leena. No one calls me milady. My mother deserves that name more than me." She murmured quietly, continuing to stare ahead since she didn't want him seeing the look in her eyes as she spoke of her mother, still letting her hood remain back. She noticed that his steed began to move faster, though she was still moving ahead of mine, brushing Sebesen's neck gently as she leaned close to her ear. "Elősegít Sebesen , mi must mozog elősegít. Villámcsapás , lovagol velünk , párja -unk lépés." She looked over to his horse, watching as it neighed and began to move faster, smiling to Roran as the wind whipped past them, glancing around to the landscape that was her home. Though, her expression grew somewhat sad, what if Altarion won the war? What if Mereth was reduced to nothing, a barren wasteland? She sighed, lowering her eyes as she pulled the cloak tighter around her shoulders, one hand remaining on Sebesen's neck at all times. She never rode with a bridal, it was never necessary. "Don't worry, we'll get there within a day." She told him, glancing to him as they shot off towards the horizon, passing by a mountain range in the distance. I won't let this beauty fade. She swore to herself, her white hair standing out against the dark night.

Roran sighed. If he really didn't want to be called that, he'd change for something else. "Okay then, how about Lady Leena? I do like that better," he smiled and looked to her, but noticed her fcial expression, growing silent.

Leena looked over to him with a small sigh, tilting her head a bit as they zoomed on ahead, a small smile raising to her face. "If you must. I'd prefer just Leena though." She lowered her eyes then, flashing him another smile as her golden eyes glanced to his. "I'm sorry for my mood. I'm still a bit sensitive about my mother." She explained, her eyes passing across the landscape to get an idea of where they were. She veered off to the right, calling out a command so that the horses would follow, "Kövessen engem!" She looked over to him, softening a bit as she sighed lightly. "So you know some things about me. What about you? If you'd rather not answer, thats fine. i just like having some info on those I'm working with. I'm sure you understand."

"Well, of course," he smiled, trying to decide what to talk about. "Well, let's see here. My dad died in battle before I was born. Never got to know him. He was the hunter. My mom was the wizard. How they got paired up, I don't know. My mom might've been one of Altarion's spies in Mereth, or she just fell in love with dad and found that she loved him more than she feared Altarion. I really don't know. I had used to find myself enjoying the first scenario better, but now, I'm not so sure. I don't see how anyone could live here in Mereth and then like Altarion's rule better. I don't understand his spies." It wasn't a touchy subject for him, he didn't care. "My mom, well, I'm sure she's dead now. She was getting old, and more sick by the day. As a right hand man to a general, I was never home, I couldn't care for her." His eyes became downcast. He was ashamed of how unlucky his mother was, and how he hadn't ever been home. "Ever since I rebeled, and have become a traitor, I wonder how she fares." He looked to the princess now, letting out a deep sigh. "She's probably dead. No doubt they killed her. Probably thought she was aiding me somehow." He kind of grunted and chuckled at the same time, but either way, he was fighting back the tears. "I have to do my best to aid Eve, for her, for my father, for myself, and for everyone else in the world. I may be the only person who can help her understand Altarion and his people." He grew silent again, looking at his horse's mane, since it seemed to know what to do.

Leena just fell quiet as she listened to him speak, lowering her eyes as he went out. She just tilted her head a bit, she knew how that confusion could work. "I see...." She murmured as he spoke of his mother, reaching out a hand to clasp his shoulder, sighing heavily. "I'm sorry..... I watched my mother waste away in pain everyday. My father was killed when he went to fight against Altarion on one of our borders where they were striking hard. I lost him when I was seven." She said softly, letting her hand fall, hoping she hadn't made it worse by touching him at all. "I want to finish what my father and mother fought for, I won't watch my kingdom be burnt to dust and my people enslaved." She brushed her hair back, glancing to him with a sad smile.

Cori sighed, pulling up beside Eve. "Eve, what is it?" she asked softly, concerned. It would be a long trip if she had to deal with this the whole time...

Cori glared lightly. "I can keep asking you for the next few days if you want. You know I will." she warned, before pausing. "Please? I don't want to see something eat away at you and not know what it is or to be able to help." she added softer, gentler.

"I'm worried about Aduial and I just want to end things with Altarion as soon as possible. I've already come to terms with the fact that I'm going to die." She muttered. "I'm done talking about it." She growled.

"But if we do we'll take him with us." Cori said softly, watching her friend sadly. She didn't know when she'd finally decided to stay with Eve, to not let her go without her. She'd said she'd stay with her until the end, and she intended to. Like Eve, she'd come to terms with dying. She'd just be incredibly dissapointed if it wasn't after Altarion was dead.

"No, I mean since Roran infuriated Selena, she's been getting stronger, and every time she gets control, she gets control for a longer period of time. Soon it'll end up that I just die off, and Selena gets complete control again. I was just a catalyst for her. I was going to tell Roran why he shouldn't make Selena so angry, but that is a self-fish desire in a last ditch effort to save myself, and I'm pretty sure that Roran understood exactly what he was doing...Just do me a favor, Cori. Once Selena gets complete control, run. She's too stubborn to listen, and if you try to stay with her, she'll just injure you so that you may not continue this journey any further." Eve told her calm, even tone, stroking Tuin's neck gently as she stared ahead of her.

Cori didn't reply for a moment. "I'll leave when she gives me no choice, be it immediatly afterwords or after a while." she finally conceeded.

Roran smiled to the Queen. It wasn't fully forced, but some was. "I won't watch that either. I'll do everything in my power to keep that from happening. Altarion is a fool, but he's a smart fool. As long as you don't let your guard down when against him, you'll be fine." The next smile was a real one, and a reassuring one. Altarion knew what he was doing, but Roran knew, deep down, that as long as they didn't lose hope, no one would fall. Hope is what got them this far into the war alive, hope is what will keep them alive to ee the outcome, the win.
