Jessica walked over to him, staying low still. She looked at him curiously. "Where'd you learn to do that?" she asked quietly.

(since the person I've been talking to has been gone far to long...
I'll just move right along with my plan)
Ashe got up from her seat and headed downstairs. The dogs got up to follow her outside. She got to the stern of the ship and knelt down, taking the largest dog's head in her hands. She played with him for a short while then made a sweeping motion towards the ship. The dog barked and ran off, the others following him.
Ashe stood back up and looked at the ship. Grabbing hold of one of the mooring lines, she swung her legs up and over the line and proceeded to crawl up the line, hanging upside down.
She reached the ship shortly and worked her way onto the ship. Once she was firmly planted on the ship she worked her way down to where the hold would be. She got close when she noticed two people by the doorway. Shoot, she thought, moving to the shadows to hide herself. Who else is here?
She inched closer to the two, trying to make out who they where. She recognized the male from earlier, but the female was unfamiliar. They're working on the lock...I can just wait till their done and slip in after them.

Riley grinned. "I learned it from an old locksmith turned thief, actually. Great guy. Kinda crazy though." he explained.
"Now, I need you to hold top of the lock against the wood, to keep your hand off the lock itself, and to trust me completely." he added, moving his hand on the large area just over the keyhole, right under the bars that held it onto the door.

"Cool." Jessica said. She pulled her sleeve down over her hand and help the top of the lock aganist the wood. "Like that?" she asked. She then looked around, thinking she had heard someone.

Riley nodded. "Yeah, now don't move." He curled his left hand into a fist, held it over the exposed part of the lock, and slammed it down hard.
The impact caused the spring loaded tumblers to jump, and immediately, Riley turned the key. This caused the key to catch each of the tumblers, and then open the lock.
He pulled out the key, spun it between his fingers, and blew on it like a gunslinger's gun barrel.
"And we are in." he said simply.

"That was amazing!" Jessica said, making sure to keep her voice quiet. She removed her hand from the top of the lock and let her sleeve go back to normal. "Now we have to be extra careful, you never know what could be inside...." she said.

Riley pulled off the lock, pulled up the gate, and slid inside. As soon as he was inside, he moved his hand up to where the lock was, and closed it half-way, so it looked locked, but would open after a good impact.
He waiting for Jessica, looking around inside. It was empty, quiet...and dark. Very dark.

Jessica made her way in shortly after him. She looked around. "That's weird....its..empty?" she said quietly, "Something's not right here."

Riley closed the gate, staying low as he walked inside.
"You noticed that too?" he asked, looking around. There wasn't much too see.
"I can't see crap..." he said in an annoyed tone, before seeing a box on a table lit faintly by the moonlight.
He picked up the box, opening it. It was a match box, three quarters of the way full.
Riley struck a match, holding it up. The faint light was enough to see the ends of the area...except the back corner, which was VERY dark, and stayed that way as Riley got close.

"Riley..be careful..." Jessica said, following him slowly. "I'm getting a creepy feeling from this ship..." she said, looking around the room. She looked at the corner. That's weird...its still dark even though he's getting closer to it.... she thought curiously.

Riley grinned, waving his fingers as the match went out.
"Concerned for me? That's a first, especially from a girl." he said in the darkness, striking another match.
"Lets find a candle, or a lantern, before I run out here." he added, looking around. As soon as they turned, a pair of red eyes looked at them out of the darkness.
Feeling something, Riley looked over his shoulder as he picked up a candle. The eyes flickered out of sight, and he though it was just the match flame.
He lit the candle with a third match, looking around. This level was empty but ladders led down. First, he wanted a better look in the back. As he got closer, only one thing lit up:
Metal bars.
[I asked the owner, and apparently the ship is holding something supernatural.]

"I'm so not concerned for you! I need you around to pick locks for me, that's all." Jessica said. She sighed, Boys are so full of it... she thought to herself. Then she looked and saw the eyes, and it scared her so much she couldn't move. When they seemed to disappear, she realized that Riley had used to matches already, and it was probably the flames. She sighed of relief quietly and looked over to where Riley was at. "Did you find anything?" she asked.

Riley laughed, tapping the metal bars. They had a clear ring to it. "Really now? Picking lock's isn't that hard, just find that old guy I was talking about, he lives in town." he said casually, holding up the candle.
Then it hit him.
Not him, exactly, the candle.
A hand flew out of the darkness. A pure, pitch black hand. When it hit the candle, it cut it dead in half. It hit the ground and still lit up the area, and Riley stood still.
"Holy...s**t." he said, backing up with his knife out. Then he saw the eyes.
So it wasn't the flames.

Jessica had both of her swords in her hands. The black hand caused her to drop them in fear, but she quickly realized that this was no time to be afraid of anything, she was a thief for god's sake! She quickly picked them up a prepared herself for an attack.

Riley backed away, still stunned. <******** that?" he asked, staring into the darkness.
He wasn't a good fighter, but he had his fair share of scuffles in the past. This was totally different.
This wasn't normal.
