"..." Lah met the gaze, and set his jaw, sitting there for a couple seconds and sighing. "....fine. Bye... Bryant." Yeah, hard to think about money when you were facing a man choosing death, but...

Lah stood up, and made his way to the door, jaw still set grimly. Or he would, but instead, he fell to his knees, clutching at his chest and letting out a choked cry. "Grrrk..NYAGH..."

But there wasn't anything he could do except keep going forward, pushing himself up onto his feet again and still clutching at his chest with one hand, eyes wide, stumbling towards the exit.

This slow pace continued until he left the room, with one last glance back at the maelstrom of a room. Then, Lah forced himself up over the truck, and then dropped down off the side, making his way slowly towards the exit. Sweat was drenching him at this point, due to both the extreme pain and the fatigue he was experiencing.

Nonetheless, he was going to get out alright. The odds of him smiling on the way out of the place, though, in some sort of triumph was highly unlikely.

He just kept moving.

"Hey!" Aiolos cried hoarsely, stumbling after Lah. He collapsed on the guy's shoulder.

"Need... Out... help...." He whispered. Aiolos could still walk, so he wouldn't slow Lah too much. That, and he weighed very little to begin with.

So they GTFOed.

((Wahoo=logged))
Caesar grimaced and grabbed his side. This pain was the clearest sign that could be sent: he had to move out, now. The fight was futile, and there was no way he could keep fighting long enough to drop the zombies.

If he could do so even with all the time in the world was still in doubt.

And, so, Caesar bolted, again, from forces far beyond him. He followed Jacknife out, to the Worker's Rest, and the Snowmobiles beyond.

[3, and out.]

And the walls came crashing down!

As the Spirit Factory crashed on top of the Palace and the surrounding area, the building giving easily beneath the other...well...building.

Lah just walked out of the thing just as the upper reaches of the Palace were struck by the falling Spirit Factory. Which is to say, fatigue meant for s**t, and his hurt was gone, presumably, from the leaving the Anti-Field.

The second his feet hit the pavement outside, he was going to be booking it. Even with the added weight on his shoulders.

Taro felt a retching pain in his gut heavy and hard, he leaned over to the side away from the hole to catch his breath. Another quake shook the building and it was too much for Taro's belly to handle, he coughed up some guts onto the floor beside him. He turned back to look inside while wiping the vomit from his mouth, the robozombies had stopped advancing. Why ever they had done so, he didn't much care, it was time to go. He had no idea what was going on, and he had no real motivation to stay for he'd found nothing really valuable anywhere he'd been so far.

So turning away from the room where Bryant was headed, he began a painful sprint out of here. Hopefully the wall would serve enough protection from the brickstorm inside, but he would not count on it. He'd begun weave his southward with an awkward gait, as another building from somewhere far above came crashing down. The sound of it falling was all he needed to give him that extra boost, the motivation to GTFO a bit faster. He paused only momentarily before leaping forward using the full power of his bionic legs to clear the blast area.

He'd come out with a few bruises from falling debris outside the immediate blast zone but considering how everyone else was faring, he was doing pretty damn well. Dusting himself off, he headed towards Ascended Way.

Athan hit the ground rolling, falling from the sky factory's platform, out into the audience chamber, where he just sort of lay there, sword and all.

Athan was conscious, but hanging on by a thread. He was running off little more than adrenaline and rage. He was staring at the sky overhead, his chest heaving despite the bruised and probably broken ribs that surrounded his lungs. Obviously he was wounded there, what with the giant, cannonball-sized bruise square in the center of his chest.

Bits and pieces of metal were still stuck inside of his torso and left arm, his face was bloodied, but he was alive.

"Alright Athan."

Athan closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"You can get up. You're not gonna die here."

He grabbed his sword, then sat up, using the large weapon as a balance point in order to get up to a standing position. Athan flinched, but once he was upright, he was starting to walk away. That's right, walk.

It was hard enough to breathe, let alone run.

And Allen would come waling in unsteadily, still bleeding, but there. And seeing Athan, Allen would finally use the walkie-talkie he'd gotten from the Bryant team earlier, and use it.

"Anyone still around? I'm injured, and got at least one other injured person here, in the Palace area. We need help getting out before this place is gone."

"Aww...man."

Athan stopped halfway through his walk and leaned forward, taking a couple strained breaths. His right arm draped across his chest, his left dragging the Rook's Destroyer behind him, Athan's momentary pause halted. He didn't seem to notice that Allen was radioing for help, but Athan knew where a vehicle was.

He was heading for it. He just needed to get to the Silo Dome first.

"Unghf!"

The man struck the ground right after his attack, smashing the weapon of his enemy.

He hit the ground hard as the ground decided to cease falling and meet him. Much too light to make a dent and be anchored like Athan, too heavy to bounce back to his feet or land like a cat, he simply rolled. And blinded by the final assault of his foebot, he rolled end over end with no idea where it was he went.

Unfortunately, the land collapsed beneath him, and the building collapsed beneath his platform.

In the wreckage of it all, Roxsokael rolled right off of the still ground level rubble and fell below.

Alright, Athan was moving. That meant he should move to. Like this, they had a better chance if they stayed together.

"Armor guy, follow Athan. We need to stick together to get out of here alive."

And then he'd use the radio again.

"Still needing help, but we're starting to move away from the Palace area. towards the Silo Dome I believe. Assistance would be greatly appreciated."

Time to follow Athan.
