That's what I thought too. I wasn't paying attention at first and I thought word ended up counting the kanji as Japanese, but then I looked again and it was on the side instead of above.

I got this thing for native Chinese children to practice writing hanzi and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to translate it for me. It's a lot...I want to ask before hand, that way I don't end up going through the trouble of finding all the right hanzi just for me to end up deleting later because no one could/would translate it...

You could post an example first? I'll see if I can do some, but it depends on what the intended audience's age is. And whether it is simplified or traditional, but I guess if it was intended for quite small children, it wouldn't make too much of a difference.
So yeah.. I don't gurantee anything, but I'll have a look for you.
EDIT: Just realised how long ago that was. xp

It looks like it's for first graders. I'm guessing by the 1 in the top corner. razz I don't know wether it's traditional or simplified yet, but it'll take a while to get it up because even if a lot of them are used in Japanese as well I still don't know most of the characters so have to draw them out on the IME pad.

Oh, ok. I thought it was like a scan. If I don't check, you could try PMing me, and I will try my best to help you.

I am going to start my first year of Mandarin at my school soon, I have been self studying for a little bit, so I think I will know a little bit about what to expect.
Have any of you people ever studied Chinese in a classroom setting?

Yeah. The teacher absolutely sucked. It totally turned me off of Chinese. If it hadn't been for that awful teacher, I might still be learning it. But alas, no longer.

I guess most languages work that way, the teacher has to know their doing in order for the students to enjoy stuff. Did you learn anything?

The teacher knew her stuff, she was Chinese. But she was also an idiot.
Yeah, I even skipped a year I was doing well enough. I had some pretty decent Chinese for awhile, but then I got completely bored of it and forgot it all.
