Heh Wakka's attack reels work better for Trio of 9999. Also two doors to tommorow will work just as fine which is good as you get about 99 of them from some capture quest.

Trio of 9999 is useful when you don't have the items to unlock the legendary weapons.

Oh yea I remember forgetting to get one of those items is Zanarkand so when I returned I found I would have to beat dark Bahamut first sad

Anima was one of the 3 I couldn't beat. The aeon was super annoying to obtain >.<

Wasn't that bad to obtain....you visit most of the temples anyway in the story, just had to get it all first run so you didn't have to go back....Shiva's temple was hell though.

It took me forever to get anima and the magus sisters on my first playthrough because I forgot to get the sphere from besaid temple so I had to beat dark valefor first.
