"Hmf.....so that ridicules fool wasn't Byakko after all...." Kokujo mused. Though an old lady wasn't exactly the image he pictured when Heavenly King came to mind, but the proof was undeniable.
"Hey, wait a second....that grandma is Byakko!?....well, at least I can tell what gender pronouns to use now I guess...." Corbenik scratched his head.

*she looks over to Kokujo and Corbenik* Sarcler siphoned the youth right out of me to feed his own vanity. Now that he’s dead, my youth should return over time. The same can be said about Xeris. This land will eventually regenerate into land of natural beauty we remember.
*she turns to Tyrian* Sarcler kept me alive so that my thoughts could not be relayed to Rakauleves, the Deity of Autumn. As long as I was alive, he would not come here directly to intervene. *sigh* It’s been such a long time since I could talk to anyone like this. I can’t believe that Sarcler betrayed me like that. He was losing his youth, and saw that mine would not fade….he became jealous and took everything for himself. Since then he became obsessed with his appearance. sweatdrop

 I remember now. 16 years ago a young Neko woman vanished without a trace. Around the same time, an old man on his deathbed...Sarcler...vanished as well. No one could find their bodies. I never would have thought that those two incidents were related. But you said that he betrayed you. What do you mean?

So basically:
"Sarcler was dying from old age saw a woman who didn't age at all, and decided to steal her youth for himself. Once he regained his youth, he became obsessed with it and wanted no one else to have any of it."
The guy sounds more like a nasty weed than anything. Am I close?

Well, Sarcler and I grew up together. We used to be good friends.
*to Kold* And yes, that's basically how it went. Ever since I became Byakko, I've gained extreme longevity. Having a normal lifespan is inconvenient for such a job, so Rakauleves-sama changed that.

Ahh! Finally, some fresh air. Everyone, thank you so much for all that you've done for me. I know it was for your own sake, but you really helped me out in the process. I'm really glad we were able to meet again and become friends. You're always welcome here in Xeris, though it'll be a while before it returns to the way it used to be.

Kokujo listened to the voice once more. "Under-water kingdom?....very well then....." He said.
"Hang on 20 seconds there! What the hell is a dragon doing in the water? Wouldn't that be like a platypus? Or the Loche Ness Monster?....It reminds me of that god-awful level in Kingdom Hearts" Corbenik piped up.
