After a while of searching the room, Euphrates could find no other trace. It frustrated here. As a thief, she had learned to track, and she was legendary at it. But here the trail ended.
What frustrated her even more was that she was so close. She had a gut feeling that one ofthe blades had been here. Maybe she could search the nearby hallways.

"Hmm... evil, you say? Sounds, fascinating..." Hotaru faced Night Shadow, "look, we each have our own reasons, but somehow we may just have the same goal. Just to let you know, I'm someone you could always use as an ally; your early grave... not so much." Hotaru grinned kindly. She found no reason to kill him for just being in her way, but if he truly wished to die...

"Hmm... I think if I can find what answers I'm looking for, then sheltering this evil won't be necessary and I'll end up finding a reason to destroy it. How do you like that deal?" Hotaru was never good at making proposals, and especially when it came to making allies, but if finding this evil could give her the answers she seeked, then so be it.

Euphrates had searched inch by inch of the hallway outside the room. She had clambered out the window, too, scanning every detail written on the walls and floor. No trace. The person or thing had just vanished.

Euphrates entered through the hall that Hotaru and Night Shadow were in. "When and where were the last sightings of the swords?" she questioned, not caring that the question was out of the blue and directed towards some person she hardly knew. She needed to get straight to the point, and she needed answers.

Night Shadow saw the nod. "Fine. As for an answer to your question, the last known owner of Soul Edge is the owner of this castle. The Azure Knight, Nightmare." As Night Shadow said that, a great wind blew through the castle.

Euphrates tensed. She was silent for a while. Then, "There was this one room - really elaborate and fancy - I could swear the sword had been there, but the last trace that anyone had been there was a dent in the floor where something - most likely armor - had lain."
Much as Euphrates hated it, she knew she could not find the sword withought Night Shadow's help.

Euphrates headed for the vent, then decided against it. This place was empty, anyways. She formed a quick map in her head and walked down the hallways. They reached a double door and she led them inside.
Euphrates looked over the ground once more and pointed to the slightest dip in the ground where the heavy armor had been. She looked up again at the many belongings left behind. Whoever had left either did not care about the things or was in a really big hurry.
