Kaen felt her flame die down slightly. "If you want to look disgustedly at someone, then go for it about me. Don't insult my friends." She didn't care when someone insulted her. "And maybe I like that I've glued my pages shut." She turned and walked toward her room. "I'm skipping class. Have fun with the damn teachers." She still felt her anger but shook it off. She didn't need what happened in her hometown to happen here. "Go ahead and call me a b***h. I know what I am."

Frost raised an eyebrow at Kaen. "Wow."
Rikka looked at Kaen with sad eyes. She walked forward and half ran to catch up to Kaen. "Um... I'm guessing you don't want company right now, but I want to talk to you..."
Kaen glanced at Rikka. "Eh, fine. You'll probably just watch me glare at a wall or something though."

Blaze was still near Burner and Thorn. He pulled the note and reread it again. 'I'm not a girl who can take a guy and make him a friend. I'm too violent for that. It takes me a long time to trust, but I just shut everyone out if I get too annoyed. I'll relent when I know someone better, or if they start off on a good note.
You didn't though. That's why I couldn't stand your attempts. If you let it go for a while, I might see you as a friend. If you don't, I'll just treat you like any other annoyance I come across.
When I show you more about myself, that's when you'll know we're friends.'
Blaze was confused. "Are we friends now, or was it just an act?" He didn't understand.

Blaze froze, realizing Burner heard him. "Crap." He didn't bother hiding, he stuffed the note in his pocket before he stepped out and waved at the crazy group. "Hey. Sorry 'bout that."

Kaen almost laughed at Amelie's statement. She kept her mouth shut even though she wanted to tell the girl to stop assuming things, even if she was right. She looked at Rikka and sighed. "Ah. Problems seem to rise like flames." She looked away before Rikka could meet her eyes. Rikka nodded. "I guess so."

Frost followed Jasna quietly. When she walked into the classroom, he hesitated at the door, listening to her cry. "Hey... Jasna? It's ok." He didn't know what to do, but he didn't want to leave her alone. "Are you alright?" He couldn't help keeping the concerned tone out of his voice. He really was concerned about Jasna. "Did Kaen say something that offended you, or Amelie? If they did, I'll throw a chunk of ice at them for you." His poor attempt at humor fell kinda short, but he really wanted to make sure Jasna didn't attempt drowning herself in the classroom. "Do you wanna cut class? I doubt you'll be missing much and I'm sure I can make up an excuse or something for you." He didn't mention that he could get in trouble too, but he didn't care. "Could you let me in, Jasna?"

Blaze laughed at Burner's statement. "I'm sort of a dork." He listened to Burner's question and his smile fell a bit. "Well..." He didn't quite know how to sum up how Kaen acted during their class, or after. He sighed before telling Burner everything except the part about Kaen kissing and protecting his a**.
"She's confusing the hell out of me. I don't know if we're friends or if she just thinks I'm a wall ornament!" He hung his head and sighed again. "Dude, I seriously might need to see the school therapist..."

Kaen walked silently next to Rikka. Rikka fidgeted with her fingers. Kaen finally just sighed, sick of the uncomfortable silence. "You said you were looking for me?"
Rikka nodded and looked down at her fingers. "I... I know I'm too shy... I want to change..." Kaen thought about how she wanted to ask Rikka to teach her to be nicer, seemed to her like Rikka wanted coaching too. "Let me guess, you want me to teach you to be less shy?" Kaen spun and started walking backwards.
Rikka nodded and looked up. "I'm... Guessing you'd be the best to teach me... You seem so fearless, I wish I was like that..."
Kaen gave her a surprised look. "I'm too bitchy. I know everyone hates me, to some extent. I wanted to talk to you earlier as well." Rikka gave Kaen a confused look. Kaen ignored her facial expression. "I wanted to ask if you'd teach me how to be less angry all the time, how to be kinder towards other people." She rubbed the back of her head. "I'm such a frickin' tomboy. I never acted like a girl at home, so I got into a lot of trouble. I basically had to raise myself, I never learned from my parents."
She sighed before looking at Rikka. "Bah. I'm boring you. I think your opening up pretty well on your own, I mean you built up enough courage to talk to Frost, right? You're getting better on your own. Me? I'm already a class A b***h. I just never learned kindness." She spun and started walking forward. "Will you teach this fiery psychopath some manners?"
Rikka smiled kindly. "Only if you teach this little snowflake to have some courage."
Kaen smirked and put her fist out. "Deal."
Rikka kept smiling as she put her hand on Kaen's fist. "Deal."
Kaen looked at their handshake and frowned slightly. She opened her hand and balled Rikka's hand into a fist before putting her hand over it. "We'll learn to be more like each other, we already look alike." She grinned as she let her hand fall to her side. Rikka did the same.

Frost reached out toward Jasna's face, then thought better and pulled his hand back. "Eh... Sorry. Natural reflex. I don't like to see girls cry..." He smiled slightly at Jasna. "Amelie thinks she's one of the top. I think if Kaen keeps up her attitude, she might end up fighting Amelie. Be kinda fun to see who'd win, right?" He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm probably making this worse... I'm not good at cheering people up..." He took a step backwards, slipped on nothing, and crashed to the floor. "Ow..." He sat up and shook his head. "Never done that before. Ugh, my brother's starting to rub off on me.... Slap me if I ever say anything completely stupid, please?" He smiled slightly as he looked up at Jasna, still sitting on the ground.

Frost smiled as he took Jasna's hand and pulled himself up. "Yeah. Still, I'll appreciate any thing to keep any Brian-like stupidity from attaching itself on me." He smiled and started walking down the hall, following Jasna. "Which class do you have next?"

Rikka and Kaen walked through the halls. Kaen didn't know where to go, but she wasn't going to class.
Rikka just followed Kaen. She looked around a corner and saw Blaze and Burner talking. "Looks like they're on better terms..."
Kaen looked over and nodded. "Dueling each other must be a man-friend signal or something. After a fight in my village and all the guys would be all buddy-buddy. Nearly made me throw up daily."

Blaze laughed as Burner reasured him. "Meh. I bet she'll just call me a dumbass and toss another fireball at me..." He looked around, locking eyes with Kaen, across the hall. Acting stupid again, Brian hid behind Burner in a pathetic attempt to not be noticed. "s**t! She saw me!" He kinda crouched behind Burner, still wondering if Kaen was just going to laugh at him or burn his stupid a**.

Frost nodded. "I think I have water-air next." He rubbed theback of his neck. "Anyway. I just wanted to see if you were going to be ok. A lot of these people think really highly of themselves, even though they're not all that. Brian would be one of them, or what remains..."

Kaen smirked. She was trying hard not to laugh at the stupid action Blaze had made. She pulled Rikka along and walked up to them both. "Hey Burner." She tilted her head and looked around Burner to meet Blaze's eye. "Hey Blaze."
Rikka smiled slightly. It seemed to her that everyone was on better terms.
Blaze pulled himself out of his hiding spot, shooting a quick glare at Burner. He blushed slightly at Kaen and mumbled. "H-hey..."
Rikka noticed the blush and recognized the mumble, having done the same thing in front of Frost. She could tell what Blaze was thinking, right away. She looked a the wall and avoided the group's eyes. After a second she got curious, and smiled at Burner. "I need to ask you something. Can you help me for a second?" She started pulling Burner down the hall by his arm.
Kaen gave Rikka an odd look but smiled. "Getting braver." She looked back at Blaze, waiting for Burner and Rikka to leave. Once they were out of earshot, she sighed. "Ok. Have you been completely confused at this point?"
Blaze nodded, momentarily losing his voice. Kaen nodded. "Ok. I'm sorry but that girl just pissed me off. I can't stand snooty bitches. They make the world rotten." She looked off to the side, not meeting Blaze's eye anymore. "Sorry 'bout the commotion." Blaze blinked before waving his arms quickly. "No! I think it's alright! Natalie's always been a b***h and really deserved a wake up call." He blushed again. "I-I Wouldn't really mind if you used me for something like that again... She really did deserve it..." Kaen looked back at him, giving him a confused look. Blaze turned his head, staring across the hall. "I... didn't mind..." Kaen smiled, just before laughing. Blaze looked at her in surprise. Kaen calmed down and sighed lightly. "I thought you were going to freak out and start yelling or avoid me for the commotion. I doubt that Natalie's going to forget that for a while."

Once Rikka had gotten Burner away she started her questions. "I want to know how Blaze feels about Kaen. He seems like he really likes her, but I could be misreading the signs..." She blushed as she realized she dragged him off again. "S-sorry for dragging you around again..."

Rikka nodded. "She has that ability. I'm getting more confident, a little. Blaze might just be learning to be a better person?" She nodded slightly, as if confirming her thoughts. "Anyway I just wanted to know what was going on. Sorry for dragging you off again..." She turned and started walking back toward Kaen and Blaze. Kaen was laughing and Blaze looked a little red in the face. Rikka recognized the blush and his expression, having done it herself. He does like her... A lot... Burner's going to see his friend evolve from a worm into a moth... strange as it sounds to me... I think everyone's going to change a little, even Frost and Jasna might change...
Kaen straightened up as she noticed Rikka. "Oh, hey. Just chatting with Blaze. Have fun interogating Burner?" She smiled and laughed again. "You're getting better at being less shy, I really doubt you need anyone's help on that."
Blaze looked off to the side again, really not wanting to talk to Kaen with Rikka nearby. He didn't know Rikka very well, but all girls gossiped with each other, except for Kaen who seemed to him more like the secret keeping type. Blaze waved slightly at Burner, praying he could start a normal conversation without embarrassing himself.

Frost nodded and followed Jasna. Once they got to the room she had remembered, Frost nodded. "Yeah, my next class. I think you're going to get kinda sick of me after a while, we have a lot of classes together." He smiled nervously and laughed. "I wonder which class Kaen and Rikka are skipping..."

Frost ran after Jasna. He smiled as he realized how many friends he'd made in just one day.

Rikka and Kaen turned their heads, not noticing Blaze's blush. Rikka shook her head and smiled. "I'm skipping today."
Blaze sighed in relief. "Uh, hey Burner... What do you think about the dorms this year?" Saying the first thing that had popped into his head, Blaze immediately felt like an idiot.

Frost walked in about two seconds after Jasna. He smiled at the teacher. "Sorry, Jasna was helping me out. I'm Frost."

Rikka nodded. Blaze followed Burner. "I think I have air too! I'll see you girls later!" He followed Burner to the door and just walked past. "Seeya later, man. I'm gonna go crash." Half tired from his weird day and fire usage, Blaze really did feel like going to sleep.

Kaen shrugged as the two guys took off. Rikka smiled. "To your room?" Kaen shrugged again. "Why not. No better places than there."
