Nimm rubbed her head. "Umm, I can't remember how long after mom went to the hospital it was, but I know it was awhile. Dad left to go and visit like her like always, and left me home, but he didn't leave a note like usual, or tell me to do anything while he was gone. I didn't see this as weird or anything, my dad and I were growing farther and farther apart each day so I figured it was punishment for making mom sick." She paused and frowned, looking at the dirt. "He came back home really late, I had fallen asleep on the couch. I woke up cause I heard glass break. There's a fireplace int eh living room, and on the mantle were a few photo's of the three of us, my dad had smashed them all with a hammer, he'd even gone after the ones on the wall and stuff. He kept...umm, mumbling something, something about losing everything, it not being worth it, and something about running out of time. He disappeared into his room and left me on the couch, and then the next thing I heard was a gunshot."

Nimm rubbed her arm, the scar on her upper arm in particular. "He shot at me through the door, had I not sat up the way I did he would of probably done worse." The memory itself caused her to get a bit angry. "Too make this long story shorter, He chased me around teh house firing at will, he missed and when he finally ran out of bullets somewhere in the kitchen, I grabbed his hands to get the gun away. Oddly enough I was wearing gloves, it was the blood from the gunshot wound that made him sick."

"That's far more than simply tragic..." He'd been using his initial cursed eye to again watch the events play out as she spoke. He was so tempted o rush in to the house and save her from that pain, but his stomach buckled each time he forced himself to remember it was simply a movie of the past playing out for him. His eyes would flare nonetheless as rage would fill him and make his blood boil.

He'd finally draw his attention to the scar on her arm, then close his eyes and take a deep breath which he'd hold for quite some time before releasing. Once he would, however, the eye on his right hand would close and disappear altogether and he'd snap the Grand Grimoire shut and again place it back in to his coat. "Scars are the easiest ways to remind us of our mistakes and our past...but there's no reason for you to hand on to memories of either. I'll happily rid you of that scar, and thanks to the Grand Grimoire's knowledge, I've a good idea of what I need and what I need to do to help your mother, if you so wish..."

Nimm looked up as she heard the book shut. "Too tell the truth, it scares me to think how she'd react once she was better. I snuck into the hospital once to see her, she was on a lot of drugs so I doubt she knew who I was. Don't get me wrong I want her to be healthy and everything, but I don't know if I should see her or tell her what happened after she got sick, or even why she got sick." She bent down and plucked a leaf off of one of the vines.

"It's not your fault she's in the condition she's in. Yes, you're the one that infected her, but not intentionally, and had you been able to realize you may harm her with your touch I know you'd of strayed from her. But, this is coming from someone who's easily able to understand the world you've been forced to live in just because you're gifted."

"He'd kneel down and pluck one of the vines from the ground, taking in it's beauty and smiling; he was a sucker for the color green. "I think that you owe it to her to make her better, if you can, but you also need to be prepared for the worst from her. I'm more than happy to give her the antidote and explain things to her and try to make sure she sees the whole picture, but she's only human. Or, if you wish to lean more towards the dramatics, I can fix her and simply leave a note by the side of her bed saying you're sorry it took this long to fix her and you hope she lives a good life from here on out." He'd then use the claw on his pinky to gently slice through the vine, penetrating only the first layer to allow the vine's own life force to drip out and he'd slice down with surgical precision. "Either way, I feel the poor woman needs to have her life back now that there's a way to give it to her, unless you object."

Nimm nodded quietly, stills taring at the leaf she held between covered fingers. "She has stage three Lyme's disease, or at least thats what the chart in her room said last I was there." her finger slipped out from under it's covering, brushing against the leaf and turning it brown then black as it dried up and shriveled.

"Mankind's greatest folly lies in it's own design. I'd hate to of been born so weak; I'd rather shrivel in the sun than have to deal with pestilence." He'd shake his head, wondering how the hell humans could stomach themselves. Though he found another question suddenly racing through his mind.

"Human medicine and technology has only advanced as much as you all have, which isn't much at all. True be it your medicines and machines are a bit safer than what we as Demons use to cure ailments, they're only an eighth as effective. For instance: Your simple machines and medicines can keep her alive, where as my dark arts can restore her to what she once was! I can even do more; I bestow upon her years unto her life so that she may make up for lost time, and even revert her age!" He'd snicker a bit, running his hand over the area of his coat the Grand Grimoire was stashed away in. "But of course, such grand things require sacrifice...but, thankfully, much like the human world, the demon world has it's own loopholes. It's all a mater of what you're willing to do, Nimm." He'd then come eye to eye with her, tempted to peek in to her mind. "But tell me Nimm: Have you ever been sick a day in your life?"

Nimm looked up as Singe started explaining what he could do. She had to lean back some out of reflex as he asked his question though. He blinked, mainly cause no one had asked her that question before. She already knew the answer though, as it occurred to her before as well. "No I've never been sick before. I think it's part of my ability." With all the people she'd make sick in the past, on more then one occasion they had something contagious that she never seemed to get.

"Yes...I didn't think so. You're the next step in human evolution; immune to disease and maybe even...well, we wouln't go there yet." He'd smirk, then draw back from her a bit, rising to stand straight with his arms folded. "Or perhaps you're something a bit darker, like myself...demons don't all just rise up from Hell. Some are born here, from...them. Wouldn't it be fascinating if you were actually a demon!?" He'd begin to laugh, then look to the sky and begin to cackle. "Or maybe even the Angel Pestilence given human form! No matter what, I don't believe you're human...and I consider these 'U.H.s' to be evolved humans. It'd truly be something if Pestilence herself was the one I was protecting...what do you think, Nimm?"

Nimm smirked. "You wouldn't be the first one to call me that. One girl that saw me make some one sick went into a tizzy about it being the end of the world." she couldn't help but laugh a bit with a smile, mainly cause she found it a bit absurd. "I'm nothing special, just a UH with a weird ability. Besides, there's no real way to tell anyway...is there?" she asked, realizing that there was a lot going on she didn't know about, so it was probably safe to assume she was wrong here too.

"There's no way for me to determine if you're indeed something as grand as Pestilence itself, but as to if you're a demon or not...well, there's an easy test for that!" He'd once more pull the Grand Grimoire from his coat...and realize what a pain in the a** it it to keep pulling it out and put it back. That aside, he'd open up to a specific page, coincidentally page number six hundred and sixty six. He'd drop it on the ground, revealing two areas on each page that obviously were asking for hands to be pressed against them. "If you're a demon, then the book will...well, it'll do nifty things (you can choose if she is or isn't and feel free to make the book do as you please). If not, you'll just look kind of strange."

Nimm shrugged and scooted off the rock to place her hands on the book. Nothing happened. "See, normal UH with weird ability." she smiled, though after a second quickly withdrew her hand as it felt like it started to burn. She flexed her fingers in and out a bit and looked at the book quizzically."Was that the nifty thing you were talking about?" she asked.

"It all depends. This book's able to tell just how much of my kind's blood flows through someone, as well as the hierarchy of their specific breed. But, I can guarantee the book only reacts to demons...humans only feel paper." He'd smirk, knowing she felt something. He'd kick the book lightly a couple of times and remove another bar of chocolate from his coat.

"Humans came up with that weird Zodiac crap a while back on Earth, right? Right. Well, all good fiction's gotta come from some real incident. The Zodiac itself isn't bogus, but...we'll get in to all of that some other time. The reason I bring it up is to explain the elemental signs tied in to each one; for example: A Libra would be an Air type. There are a total of four elemental affinities: Air, Fire, Earth and Water. All humans can use their respective energy, though most are oblivious to their abilities. We as demons, on the other hand, tend to only find true solace within our element, such as myself and fire." He'd use the toe of his boot to point to an area outside of the hand prints on the pages, an area that would show a diagram of the Zodiac with different names, as well as which elements corresponded to which sign. "Place your hands back on it...if you've got any demon in you, it'll show us just how much using your sign. If I were to place my hands on it, we'd no doubt see some sort of brilliant display of fire...but it's not about me." That statement was more or less used to answer the inevitable question in her mind. He'd remove the foil from the chocolate and take off a bite, then nod to the book again. "It's not gonna hurt you."

Nimm nodded and looked up at him a moment. "How many bars of chocolate have you had?" she asked randomly, remembering he told her to make sure it was no more then eight...or somewhere around there. She was still knelt down by the book however, and looked down at the page a moment before setting her hands against them once more.

He'd look to the bar of chocolate, then try to remember. He'd begun to eat them out of habit, trying to keep the taste of dried blood out of his mouth. He'd take another bite of the chocolate with a hard crunch and goosebumps would rise upon his pale flesh as he thought of the frozen goodness in his mouth.

"I don't know. I'd assume this is around my fourth or fifth. I got...let's assume three more I can eat after this." He'd take another bite and cross his legs, levitating in the air. "So you gonna take the test? Or are you too scared to find out what you really are?"

She frown slightly. "I'm not scared." she replied defensively. "Just a bit apprehensive." she muttered. She moved and placed her hands on the pages. The sign for Airies glowed faintly.
