((Guild RP)) The Upperclass Aleric looked down at the instructions, the letter rolled and hanging like a bow and arrow satchel over his shoulder. Ice had given him a string for that purpose. But since it was black he had the eerie feeling it wasn't hers to give... He looked at the sketch of the sketch and wondered if he had the right place. He had been flying for a while, following the notes meticulously, so... He looked up at the gold plate on the wall outside the gate and nodded. This was the place. He reached up, pushing the buzzer and speaking. "My name is Aleric. I'm seeking the feien named Simon, please." There was a small hum of static on the console as it sprang to life. Apparently an outside could not merely speak into it without having someone on the inside authorize the transmission first. That would make sense: the residents of this mansion would not want to be bothered by strange voices intruding upon their home. A haughty, creaky voice came from the speaker. "Ye-es?" Aleric sighed, speaking clearly. He should have figured they would have to speak first. "My name is Aleric, my bondmate is Ice Queen. I'm here to speak to the feien Simon, please. I have an important letter to deliver." That was complete gibberish, he added silently. The voice replied without hesitation, "One moment, I will see if Master Simon is available. Please fly through to the front door." The speaker went dead. He hesitated, then headed through the gate for the front door. If he was attacked because of this, well... at least he wouldn't have to deal with Silva's return. At that thought a small smile pulled at his lips. Twisted, yet still amusing. He hesitated at the door, not knowing whether he should go through or not. It wasn't as if the door left him the option. It was one of those eight-foot wood and iron affairs, heavily bolted, stolen from some fifteenth-century castle in Scotland. The surrounding windows were all firmly shut. Judging by the stains on the wood, they had never been opened. This was not a house one entered without being invited. There was a loud scraping noise as the bolt was lifted and the door swung inward; the first sign that anything in this house had been less than defensively designed. An elderly man was standing there, dressed smartly in a black tailcoat, a monocle balanced almost comically over his right eyes. He was in his mid-sixties judging by appearance, with neatly-trimmed snowy white hair and a matching white mustache. As he drew the door open and stepped aside he boomed out in a regal manner, "Mister Aleric has arrived for Master Simon." It was unclear to whom he was speaking. The richly decorated foyer was empty. It was also unabashedly gorgeous. It opened up to the second floor, a staircase set against the east wall. The floor was hardwood, heavily polished, mahogany and a lighter wood, perhaps hickory, arranged with incredible precision into a geometric design resembling tiles. Someone had spent a great deal of time laying down all the hundreds of pieces. The walls were a rich maroon color on the bottom, white paneling on the top. Red carpeting led up the stairs to the second level. A heavy, expensive-looking chandelier hung from the ceiling, glinting in the light from the high windows above the front door. This light was further reflected by the careful placement of several gilded mirrors. A large arrangement of tasteful dried flowers sat atop a credenza and a nearby display case held a collection of handpainted plates. The butler stood ready besides the door, inviting Aleric inside. Aleric floated in slowly, trying not to stare. It was definitely a lot... larger than Ice's place. With a lot more red. And shiny things. He paused at the butler, giving a slight smile. "Thank you." Then he turned, looking for the feien the butler spoke to. The door closed with a "whoompf" and was quickly re-bolted. It really did seem to have been stolen from some castle, judging by the size and crude design of the locking mechanism. "Master Simon will see you in the Peregrine Study. This way please, sir." With a slight bow, the butler turned towards the east wall. Just in front of the staircase was a patch of seemingly empty wall, but under the butler's sure hand it suddenly opened to reveal a hidden hallway. Aleric followed silently, merely raising an eyebrow at the hidden doorway and holding his tongue. This was a very... strange household. But of course, he was starting to think everything in his life was strange. What with him only being three days reborn and already in the middle of a crisis... And meeting the owner of the feien shop. It felt rather as if he had gotten into trouble. His luck, it seemed, was steady. The hidden hallway looked completely bare, but since the wall was the same white paneling as the foyer, it seemed certain that there were hidden doors aplenty. The butler led Aleric some thirty feet down the hall and opened one. "The Peregrine Study," he announced. It was beginning to feel as if the butler's announcements were more than a little bit redundant. The reason for the study's title was immediately apparent. Paintings and drawings of hawks lined the walls, figures of hawks nestled among various bookshelves and cabinets. Falconry tools were there, as well as hunting implements, and a large stuffed hawk perched menacingly in one corner of the room. The basic color scheme seemed to be a dusty shade of yellow and black, lots of black. Sitting in the middle of the room was a large desk. Half of it was neatly arranged with a cup full of pencils and pens and an ornate tortoiseshell letter opener (a hawk carved into the hilt, of course). The other half of the desk was littered with scraps of papers and a pile of clearly scientific textbooks. "Biology" read one, "Genetics" another. The scraps of paper were in fact various notes scribbled by a very small hand. In the midst of this mess sat Simon, resting comfortably on a small black velvet cushion, leaning over his notes. He startled somewhat at Aleric's entrance, unnerved as part of the hawk mural behind him detached itself from the wall and swung out into the hallway. The main entrance of the study was clearly located on the opposite side of the room, being a rather plain and unassuming dark wood door. There were no windows in this room and Simon squinted at the sudden burst of sunlight from the hidden hallway. The only available lighting was a surprisingly small, understated chandelier, several desk lamps scattered about, and several old candle lanterns set into the walls. The chandelier was lit. Easing Simon's confusion, the butler said, "Mister Aleric has arrived, sir. Will there be anything else?" "Uh, no, Mr. Cranshaw. I'll see to my, ah, guest from here out." "Very good, sir," bowed Cranshaw, leaving the feien to their conversation. He closed the hidden door behind him and it disappeared into the mural so perfectly it seemed that had never been a door or a butler at all. Simon looked questioningly at this unfamiliar feien, more than a little taken aback at both the arrival of the visitor and his unusual appearance. "I'm sorry if I've... startled you." Aleric said, bringing the letter over his shoulder and undoing the string. "My name is Aleric, my bondmate is Ice. I was... reborn just a few days ago, so don't worry about never having met me before." He finished with the string, hanging it over his shoulder for lack of elsewhere to put it. "The other day during my visit to the feien shop a... woman approached me and some others about joining her in what I can only describe as a breeding research. One that takes us away from our bondmates in exchange for a feien she claims to have. She said that her... employer wanted you to have this letter." "My bondmate says that it looks like gibberish to her, but the woman claimed the true owner of the store would understand it." He finished, holding out the letter to the taller feien. Personally he figured she had been a little crazier than most, but he would leave it to Simon to decide for himself. Blinking, Simon took the letter and unfolded it, scanning the words printed there. His face contorted into a frown of confusion, then lit up with some sudden understanding, then fell again. "Huh," said Simon at last, turning the letter on its side and then upside-down. "I don't think it's gibberish, at least. It seems to be in some sort of code. Certainly if it were complete gibberish it would have such a consistency to it. Who is it from?" He looked up at Aleric hopefully. He was itching to ask about the reborn comment, but clearly there was a more pressing issue at hand. "She refused to tell us, and she was asked repeatedly." Aleric said, slightly surprised at Simon's lack of outrage. He seemed almost... curious. "She did say that she worked for some sort of... business, as far as I can tell. Or scientific research lab that she described as being very 'Plush.'" He went on, thinking back to the conversation. "But it wasn't on Gaia. And neither was their summoner." Then he paused. "If they have a summoner... why would they need to focus on breeding?" He asked, slightly confused. "She said they could only have so many results from the feien they had already." It seemed to him that a summoner wouldn't have to have other feien... but he might be wrong. The idea was so ridiculously obvious Simon almost said it. Only his considerable fears at saying something wrong held him back. He realized his mouth was hanging open like a fish. He settled on the fairly neutral question, "They said they had a summoner?" and then cursed himself because if they had feien and were breeding them, how could they not? He quickly rescinded, "No, never mind." Simon's eyes fell to the strange message again, a thought occurring to him. "This message isn't directed to me," he said. He pointed to the salutation: foreign leader. "Rather, I don't think it is." Aleric raised an eyebrow. "Then forgive me. I've only been alive for a few days, and was told to take the letter to the true owner of the shop. I assumed, as did my bond, that it was to go to you." He hadn't been asking why they would need to breed, he had been asking why they needed to come here to refill their "Stock" of feien breeders. He assumed the summoner could summon a decent amount of feien to begin with. But perhaps he was wrong. Of course he didn't bother to state that, not really caring if he looked to be a fool. "Maybe you should deliver it this time." He finished, smiling slightly. "Since I have no idea where it goes to." "No, no, that's quite alright!" Simon tore himself away from the letter's contents long enough to give Aleric a warm smile. "You did indeed bring it to the right place, if those were the directions. It makes sense in an odd sort of way, really." And then he was back to the letter once more, puzzling over snippets of words that almost seemed to mean something, mumbling the words and making little exclamations of discovery. Aleric grinned, his relief showing. "Then I'm grateful to have been of service." He replied, honestly. "She did cause quite a... reaction among the bondmates and the feien. You might want to be careful about what you decide. If only for their sakes." He turned, glancing at the door. "I don't suppose you would show me the way out so I can leave you to your study?" Simon hummed assent, not really quite paying attention to Aleric's warning, and then nodded with more force. "It's right this way." He flew towards the study's main door, letter in hand. The pathway to the main foyer was essentially the same as in the hidden hallway. The rich magenta ran parallel to the plain white one, but was lined with (visible) doors, portraits, and a display case full of miniature ships in bottles. Then Aleric was back at the entrance, emerging out from under the stairwell. Cranshaw was standing there as if he had been waiting for Aleric. Uncanny. Simon shrugged expectantly at the butler and the human opened the massive front door. Simon paused near Aleric. "Thank you for delivering this, Aleric. I assure you the matter will be looked into," he said and began drifting up towards the second floor. Aleric nodded, letting the other feien leave without speaking. He figured Simon was working, he didn't need to be distracted. Maybe the taller feien would figure out what was going on, and they could take care of the problem. He turned, looking up at Crenshaw with a little smile. "I can show myself out if you would prefer." He told him, not mentioning the fact that he had yet to set up his dwellings and was getting hungry. "The front gate is visible from here," said Cranshaw stonily, as if he expected nothing less. He fixed Aleric with a stern stare. In the background, Simon disappeared into the second floor hallway, oblivious to Cranshaw's suddenly icy demeanor. Aleric almost snorted, amused by the look. "That's what I meant." He said, heading for the gate and slipping out, his mind more focused on Simon's reaction than the butler's. The taller feien hadn't been shocked... surprised, yes, but not shocked. In fact he had seemed a bit intrigued... The question was what this would mean for the other feien. Aleric frowned slightly, then shook his head, heading into Gaia. He had done his duty, and that was all he could do. Things would work out as they would. He could only hope it didn't wind up with it all falling apart.

When he got home all Aleric wanted to do was find something to eat and sit down for a little while. But when he got through the window te first thing he heard was a loud, annoying ringing sound. He looked around, wondering if anyone would stop it. But no one seemed to care.
Reluctantly he headed towards the noise, looking at the silver object with a hint of trepidition. The top part looked as if it moved, though, so he dropped down beside it, tugging the top part off and sighing as the ringing stopped.
"Ice, dammit, where the hell have you been?" The silver object asked, making Aleric jerk and crouch down beside the object.
"Hello?"
"What the-- Dammit, I got the wrong--"
"Are you looking for Ice Queen?"
"Yeah." The voice said after a slight pause. "And what in the hell do you think you're doing answering her phone?"
"The ringing was annoying."
The male snorted, then spoke again. "Let me rephrase that. Who the hell are you?"
"Aleric."
"All right. We've got one answer. Not quite what I asked for, but an answer. Now what are you doing in MY house?"
"You must be Silva." Aleric said, finally understanding what was going on.
"Yes. I'm Silva."
"I'm Aleric. I'm a feien."
The other end of the phone went silent. Then something cracked in the background. "Get Ice." The voice said, so cold that it made even Aleric hesitate.
"I'm not here to replace--"
"I said get Ice. Something about that statement you don't understand?"
For some reason the lack of cussing worried him more. "Look, we're going to have to solve this between ourselves--"
"Is Ice your bondmate?"
"Yes, she--"
"And you sure as hell don't sound like a kid."
"I'm not." Aleric replied calmly. "I was reborn a few days ago."
"While I was so conveniently out of the way." Silva replied, his tone getting even cooler. But there was a calmness to it that hadn't been there earlier. "Now listen to me now, because I'm not going to repeat myself. Ice? Is mine. The kitty? Is mine. You do anything to hurt them--"
"I won't be hurting anyone."
"I wasn't finished."
"Forgive me."
"If you hurt them while I'm gone I'll rip out your throat. Then I'll break every bone in your body. Twice. I'll take care of you when I get back, either way."
"And threatening violence is your solution to everything?"
"This isn't a threat." Silva said, a hint of cold amusement crawling into his voice. "I'm just stating a fact."
"I won't hurt my bondmate or the cat woman."
"...Woman?"
"Yes, she appears to be a woman."
"s**t. This damn quest keeps making me miss things..." Silva muttered, sounding a little frustrated.
"She is quite beautiful."
"Of course she is. She's mine."
Aleric blinked, a hint of a smile pulling at his lips. The other male was arrogant... and possessive. He had seen that coming, actually. "She has not spoken to me."
"That's because she doesn't speak at all, Old Man." Silva replied dryly. "Look, stay the hell away from my things, and stay away from my bond--"
"She's my bond as well."
"Not for long."
A loud clicking sound almost made Aleric jerk. "Silva? Hello?"
The phone beeped at him. Slowly, almost reluctantly, he put the silver thing back where it had been before.

Silva stared at the phone, scowling slightly. He had broken into another store to use the phones and grab something to eat. He was getting pretty good at B&E. But he didn't figure it was too big a deal, since the crackers he had found on the table had been stale and the phone call he made was free.
But he hadn't expected that... He scowled, inwardly fighting with himself as he tried to decide what to do. He needed to talk to Yanvir... but at the same time, he needed to deal with the b*****d who thought he could horn in on Silva's property.
With a slight scowl he took to the air, heading for the open window. His toothpick was going to have to be replaced after this one, he thought, pausing outside of the feien shop. He could go home... for just a day or so... and take care of Aleric, then come back...
But if he waited too long the crazy b*****d might forget that he had sent him on a quest in the first place. Dammit! Of all times why did Ice have to go and screw up like this NOW? He cursed again, staying right where he was as he tried to figure out what he should do. The old man had said he had been reborn... What if he had the same freaky powers as the ancients Silva had already met?
And if he was as crazy as Yanvir (Although Silva doubted it for some reason) then who knew what the other feien was getting into?
... And what if he ran into Ruya?
"s**t." He could go to Yanvir, have himself teleported to the place where he needed to be, then call up Ice to have her bring him back. Unless this Aleric b*****d proved to be the perfect replacement for him and she didn't WANT him back, that was.
Then he snorted. There WAS no perfect replacement for him. He was one of a kind.
But then again, that was what he had thought before Ruya dumped him for another guy.
With one last glance to the shop he headed back for his home. He would come back when the problem was taken care of. And if Yanvir forgot about him... well, he'd just have to remind him again. Silva was good at that.
With that decision made he headed for home, kicking in the speed to get there sooner. He dropped in through the window, ignoring the way Nick and Nack jerked at his arrival, and turned on his magic detection, searching for another-- There. With a weird signature... something that definitely wasn't shadow.
He took to the air again, heading for Kisa's room, straight to the terrarium, which he dropped in, heading past the growling tiger and for the hammock in the back corner. The other feien was asleep. Without a thought Silva flipped the hammock, sending the male tumbling to the ground before he could wake up.
Aleric groaned, his purple eyes opening slowly and focusing on the much taller male glaring down at him. "Nice wings." He stated, slowly pushing himself to his feet.
"Aleric, right?" Silva asked, unlooping the long chain over his shoulder.
"I am."
"Nice little set up you've got here."
"Thank you. I've not had time to fix it up just to my liking, though."
"That's just too damn bad." Silva replied, starting his chain spinning.
"Perhaps we should take this somewhere else." Aleric said, calmly. "If your weapon hits one of the walls, this entire glass box will shatter. And Kisa would be endangered by the shards."
Silva paused, cooling just slightly at his words. Damn him. He had already caught one of his weaknesses.
Aleric nodded slightly as the chain stopped. He had been correct in his appraisal. If the feien living here had been a complete beast, the silent female would have cringed at the sound of his name. Then he blinked, because while he had been congratulating himself the taller male had lunged forward, picking him out of the air with one hand. And no magic.
A little smirk played on Silva's lips. "Then I'll just have to do this the old fashioned way." He replied, making Aleric gulp.
"Silva!" They both turned, blinking at the sight of Ice glaring down at them. Silva never let go of the other felen, leaving Aleric an inch off the ground and slowly running out of air. But with his distraction Aleric managed to levitate himself slightly so he could breathe. "Put. Him. Down."
Silva scowled, tossing the other feien as if he weighed nothing, and turning on Ice. "What the hell do you think you're doing, woman?"
"I am keeping my feien from killing each other!"
"I am your feien! That b*****d--"
"Is now my feien, too!" She replied, looking equally stubborn.
"Like hell he is!" Silva muttered. "Does he LOOK like a bloom?"
"Since when has that ever mattered?"
"I could deal with a kid, Ice. Hell, I could even deal with an adult FEMALE. But this is MY house--"
"Silva, he doesn't have anywhere else to go." Ice interrupted, her tone going cajolling. "He was brought back to life in a world that he doesn't understand, and forced to deal with a lot of things that you never had to. Namely, you."
"I can solve that problem."
"But you won't."
"Like hell I won't."
"You won't because you already screwed me over once. And you owe me." Ice said, her tone turning smug.
Aleric blinked. He had expected some sort of line about love and faithfulness. Not about owing. But it seemed to work on the other male, because Silva relaxed, glancing over at him. "Fine." But the look in his eyes didn't say "fine." The look was a promise that they would take care of this problem later.
"Have you gone on your quest yet?" Ice asked, lowering her hand into the terrarium. The tiger jerked at the unfamiliar hand, as if thinking of attacking, only to get a steel ball bearing upside the head. He fell backwards, unconscious. Silva stepped onto Ice's hand. "Oh, poor Snake Eyes... You didn't kill him, did you?"
"Nah." Silva said, shrugging. "Just knocked him out for a bit."
Aleric blinked, then headed for the tiger, checking for a pulse even as the two left. He had been telling the truth... the tiger was merely unconscious. But what kind of control did it take to limit the impact of a hit that quick? And what kind of bond between a feien and a human would make a man like Silva willing to kill for her?
He sat back, frowning slightly. This new living style he was dealing with was more confusing than he had thought.

((Shop RP, compilation borrowed (then altered) from TormentedAngie))Subtle Warnings Silva headed through the door of the shop, glancing over his shoulder to glare at the male following him. He waited until they were inside to land on the floor, motioning for the other feien to follow. Aleric nodded, dropping down so they were facing. "So..." Aleric said. "This is the part where you kill me when Ice isn't around, then claim it was an accident, right?" "Lucky for you, I'm not that good a liar." Silva said, chewing on his toothpick. He looked around, wondering idly if anyone else would come in. Then Silva took the staff he had over his shoulder, untying the bundle at the end, then tossing the staff to Aleric. Aleric blinked, but caught it. "What--" "That's a staff. Look at it, figure out how to get your own, because I won't give you mine. Then tell my boys--" "Nick and Nack?" Aleric interrupted. "Yeah." Silva said. "Get a staff then go into Ice's room." The little fairy flitted in and out of her bond's sash, excited that she was out and about again. After the days they'd been having, it just wasn't a day fit to be inside doing nothing. Reneeka had asked Angie if she could drop her off at the shop, and since Angie had some errands to run, she didn't have a problem with it. The door was just in view, and it was there that Angie let Rene dash off on her own. A smile wafted across the fox-girl's face before she turned and headed off towards town, whistling a soft tune to herself. 'Neeka glanced through the window, then bounced through the door, only stopping once she touched ground on a table. Once there, bright tangerine colored eyes glanced around to see if she was alone, a habit she'd picked up around her own home. Silva turned first, making Aleric turn as well. Aleric smiled. "Hello there." He called calmly, making Silva snort and glance back at him. But the taller male said nothing, merely watched to see what the girl would do. Peering over the edge of the table, Rene smiled and waved. "Hello there, both of you!" Neither of them looked familiar, not in the least, so she did her best to stay calm although she was rather hyper at the moment. She wanted to make a good first impression, and it wouldn't do to appear like a ping-pong ball bouncing all over the place. Aleric nodded, taking to the air, the staff still in his hand as he headed for the young female. Silva cursed, then followed, eyeing the female for a second. He had never met her before, and doubted Aleric had, either. But if the old man wanted to talk... "My name is Aleric. And yours?" Aleric asked, landing on the table and offering his hand. Idly Silva wondered if he would do this with everyone he met, or just the pretty females. Reneeka took Aleric's hand. "My name is Reneeka. Pleased to meet your aquaintence." She curtesyed as best she could, a manner she picked up from late night movie fests with Angie. The one who spoke appeared to be quite pleasant. The other one, she didn't quite know what to make of. "A nice day to be out and about, isn't it?" She lightly commented about the weather, still hoping to make a good impression on them both. "It is." Aleric replied, glancing over at Silva. Silva grunted, finally dropping down on the table next to the other male. "A good day for meeting people." Silva bit back a laugh. This was entertaining for some reason. "Some days are better for that than others." He drawled lightly, making Aleric bite back a smile. "And some people are better to meet than others." Aleric replied, dryly. Silva actually laughed at that one. Nodding, Reneeka cast a glance towards Silva. He looked rather irritated for some reason, though she couldn't tell why. She hoped she hadn't interrupted anything. "Most days are good for meeting people, at least to me. Especially since I don't know very many people." Rene tilted her head at the exchange between the two, before continuing. "I don't believe that I've had the ...pleasure of your name." Glancing towards the taller male, the girl wondered if that'd get him to relenquish it, or if he would be a grumpy sort and ignore her. "His name is Silva. He's a little... irritable today, don't mind him." Aleric replied before Silva could respond. "You see, we just met today, as well." Silva looked thoughtful as he spoke, then shrugged. "Except instead of a day, we're expected to share a lifetime." He added, scowling slightly. "True, with the same bomdnmate that is somewhat expected..." Aleric said, glancing over. "But I must admit, I prefer females." "You're not the only one." Silva drawled, then gave the little girl a crooked smirk. "So what are you out to do today, little darlin? Some shopping?" Slightly amused, the delicate fairy again watched the exchange between the two rather thoughtfully. They appeared to her, almost exactly like brothers from a movie she and her bondmate had watched. "Nice to meet you as well Silva." She smiled and extended her hand out towards him, although something told her she probably shouldn't. "You share the same bondmate? I can't imagine what that'd be like. I'm the only feien Angie has, though I wonder what it'd be like with another around..." She mused on that thought for a moment before answering Silva's question. "Actually, my bondmate did say I could do some shopping if I found anything I liked, so I suppose I am shopping. Though I'm mainly here to get out of the house. What about you guys?" Silva looked at the hand, then moved his toothpick slightly, not taking it. He wasn't big on the hand shaking thing. Aleric rolled his eyes. "Silva was about to tell me something." He said, to distract her from Silva's rudeness. "Right. I'm about to skip out." Silva said, looking over at Aleric. "And I want you to learn to fight while I'm gone. Ask the boys to show you the staff routine." Aleric nodded. He would have asked why, had the little girl not been there. He was pretty sure the answer wouldn't be fit for innocent ears. Then Silva glanced at the girl. "You know how to fight?" "Right.." She saw Silva's reaction to her hand and quickly pulled it back. This one made her slightly nervous, for some reason. "Actually... I don't. But I know how to sing! ..Er..sort of." Oh yeah Rene, good comeback. What are you gonna do? Knock him over with your voice? Highly unlikely.. Fidgeting in place for a moment longer, Rene pondered what to say next. There was just something about this other fairy, this Silva, that made her feel all uneasy as he looked at her. She wasn't quite sure why. But the way the other fairy handled him, as if the snide comments didn't matter, gave her strength. Straightening up, she decided she wouldn't be bothered by Silva's gruffness. She had a feeling it was more of an act than anything anyway. Aleric glanced over at Silva. "You scare little children." He stated. "Hell, you think I haven't noticed? Did it even when I was a kid." Silva replied, rolling his eyes slightly. "Listen up darlin, because I don't tell many people this. No matter who you are a little self defense is a good thing." "Especially when you live with a guy like you, correct?" Aleric asked, earning a slight nod. "Hell yeah." Silva said, walking over to him. Aleric raised an eyebrow. There was more to this conversation than warning a little girl. "You want to aim for the hot spots if someone is threatening you. Stomp on his feet, headbut him in the gut... I'd tell you the higher stuff but I'm not sure you could reach." He pointed it out on Aleric. Aleric coughed. He didn't want to laugh because it might hurt her feelings. "She could always fly." She tilted her head, pondering Silva's words. "Self defense... Like being able to kick someone's butt if need-be?" Watching Silva's pointing, she nodded carefully. "It would be nice to know how to defend myself, in case something happened..." Not that anything would, but there were always the 'what ifs' in life. As if to emphasize Aleric's words, Reneeka floated up into the air to become eye-level with Aleric. Her reply came with a slightly sarcastic tone. "You mean, up here?" Silva smirked. "The throat, anything on the face, the ears, and between the two places..." He motioned to his own diaphragm, just below the ribs. "Right under the ribs. That's the place you want to kick." Aleric glanced over. "Teaching a little girl to hit someone in the throat?" "If she can't run..." Silva said calmly, shrugging. "Then she should fight dirty." "True, but only if she CAN'T run." Aleric said, looking thoughtful. "If you can run, you should." He told her, matter-of-factly. "And screaming comes in handy." Nodding, she listened to both of them. Both had their points, she'd seen both ways done in the movies, both proving successful. But she'd never thought that she might need to know them, to survive in this world. "Alright. So I try and run first, scream if possible, and if that doesn't work, kick butt. Sounds like a good plan to me." She didn't sound quite as confident as the words implied, but she did understand what was being told to her. They looked at each other, and Silva finally shrugged. "Darlin, there aren't that many scary feien around. Hell, I'm probably one of the scariest. And I have a weak spot for pretty ladies. But if you ever run into a lady named Sunil--" He stopped, shaking his head. "Nah, you wouldn't interest her." Aleric looked thoughtful. What Silva had told the little one was actually useful advice. That surprised him. But it did go along with his belief that Silva wasn't a complete monster. Just a little twisted. But the comment about the lady named Sunil-- "Who's Sunil?" Aleric asked, making Silva jerk slightly. "The one that taught me that hold I showed you earlier. First hand." Aleric jerked. "When?" "When I was younger than this little darlin." By the way Silva spoke and acted of this 'Sunil' person, she didn't seem like a very pleasant sort at all. Though Reneeka would have to find out first hand, since that's the way she was. But she did make note of the physical and vocal discomfort the taller male expressed when speaking of her. If someone like him, as callous as he was, could react like that about someone else...it didn't bode well. "Could you beat her now?" Aleric asked, calmly. "Yeah. I could." Silva replied, shrugging. "Now I should get going." He said, taking the staff from Aleric and dropping off the table to get the rest of his stuff. "Learn to fight by the time I get back, old man. I need a taller sparring partner." He turned, heading for the tunnel to Yanvir's place and disappearing before Aleric could respond. "He's... Huh..." Aleric said, looking thoughtful. Then he turned to Reneeka, smiling. "Nice to meet you. I should get going, though." He said, heading for the edge of the table. The mention of leaving brought Rene out of listening mode. "Bye...." Her words trailed off as Silva abruptly just left. Well, she shouldn't have expected any different from him. He was a strange character though, that was for sure. Tilting her head, she watched him disappear down the tunnel she didn't think she'd known existed. Turning back to Aleric, the fairy nodded. "Indeed, I should probably get going myself. It was very nice to meet you Aleric. I hope to meet up with you again sometime. Good luck in whatever you're going to do." Smiling, the small girl waved as he headed for the edge, cheery in her goodbye. Her bond would be back soon and she hadn't gotten around to looking at the stuff she could buy... A final wave to Aleric, then Reneeka turned away, pondering to herself what all Angie had said for her to get...

Love me two times, Girl! One for tomorrow, and one just for today. Love me two times, I'm goin' away! (Love me two times, I'm goin' away!)
The music was the first thing Aleric heard as he walked into Ice's room. Then he saw the two males, dancing. Kind of... There were flips and spins in their dancing, as if doing a tumbling form of fighting. But their motions went along with the music, so he could only assume this was their definition of dancing.
Considering Silva, he shouldn't have been surprised. He headed further in, wondering why he didn't mind the loud music. It was nothing like he had ever heard before, and the lyrics were slightly--
The boys jerked to a halt, glaring at him. "What you want?" The wolf boy asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
"I was told by Silva--" He started out. "To ask you to teach me to use a staff."
Nick and Nack looked at each other, then back at him. "How do we know we should believe you?"
"Because I'm telling the truth?" He offered, sighing slightly. "Silva said he needed a taller sparring partner."
"Punching bag." The boys said at the same time, nodding.
"What I thought, too." Aleric replied. "I made a staff." He held out a long stick with cloth wrapped around the center. It was exaclty like Silva's, save for the smoothness. Aleric hadn't been able to find a twig that smooth.
"Silva uses Dow Rod." Nack said, examining the twig. "But this might work."
"Or give him splinters." Nick added.
"Fine..." Nack sighed, as if muchly burdaned, and walked over to a small box on the windowsill, opening it and digging through, finally pulling out a dangerous exacto knife blade. "Take this, clean up your staff, then come back."
Aleric blinked, but took the blade, wincing as the steel bit into his palm. "I'm going to need a handle."
"Not our problem." The boys said at the same time.
Aleric sighed, pretty sure they would take a while to win over. "Will you teach me to dance first?"
They jerked, flushing for some reason. "He wants to dance..." Nick whispered loudly.
"I know that, dumbass..." Nack whispered back. "But Silva didn't say--"
"Silva didn't teach us to dance! Kisa did! And if we can teach him to dance maybe we can teach him to play soccer!"
"Silva knows how to do both."
"But he didn't teach us! TV did."
"True, Silva only learned because he has to be better at things than us." Nack said, thoughtfully. He turned to Aleric. "We'll teach you. For a price."
They were definitely Silva's boys. "What price?"
"I want candy! Wait... no... I want the new issue of Playboy!" Nick said, nodding.
"Dumbass, he can't get that!"
"Silva can."
"But Silva has Ice's debit card!"
Aleric tried not to laugh. "Then candy?"
The boys jerked, looking at him, then grinning. "COOKIES!"
"um... huh?" Aleric asked, looking blank.
"On top of the fridge there's a large teddy bear looking container." Nack said, "His head comes off. and inside there's cookies. They're too high for us to get to. But you can fly."
"Does Silva do this?"
"Not often. And only if HE wants one." Nick said, pouting. "Ice says all the sugar will rot our teeth. Silva says it'll rot our brains."
Aleric refrained from stating he was probably right. "I get you a cookie--"
"Two!"
"I get you two cookies. And you'll teach me to dance?"
"Sure!"
"And I clean up my staff and you'll teach me to use it."
"Silva said so, didn't he?"
"Then let's get those cookies." Aleric said, heading for the door. The boys jerked, looking shocked at his easy agreement. Then they grinned, racing for the kitchen as Aleric flew above them. He headed for the bear, taking the head off as they had said, grunting with the weight. It was pretty heavy. Then he dove in, coming up with two large cookies. He took them to the boys before returning to put the head back on the bear.
The boys put the cookies on their heads, looking as if they were wearing gigantic sombraros, and headed back for Ice's room. Then they shoved the cookies to the side and turned up the stereo.
"The first thing you gotta do is know how to bounce." Nick said, bouncing where he stood. Aleric blinked, then almost cautiously, followed his example.
"Next is the punch." Nack said, punching out swiftly. Their moves resembled a boxer, but neither of them thought of that. It was dancing! Aleric fumbled his first punch, not sure about hitting air.
"And the kick!" Nick said, executing a perfect (if rather bouncy) roundhouse. Aleric tried it. It didn't work. And the boys were much faster than he was. Nick looked at his attempt. "You got a long way to go."
Aleric nodded, then tried again. He didn't give up that easily, after all.

"So Silva--" Aleric said, sitting down next to the writing Ice. "Tell me about him, please."
Ice blinked, her fingers hitting the wrong keys at his question. Reluctantly she hit the backspace, cleaning up the mess before looking over at him. "What do you want to know?"
"He's rude, he's arrogant, and he knows a lot about fighting." Aleric replied.
"That about sums it up!" Ice replied, grinning.
"But if he was truly arrogant he wouldn't care about a little girl knowing how to protect herself."
Ice blinked, cocking her head. "When did that happen?"
"I went with him back to the shop. We ran into a little feien girl and he told her how to defend herself."
"...Oh." Ice said, looking hesitant for a second. "Well... Silva might seem arrogant... and to a point he really is. But Silva's also seen things that not many other feien even realize exist."
"Like?"
"As far as I can tell he's run into one poacher and--" She stopped, counting. "Was it two or three professional killers?"
"And the amazon ship!" Nick called, making them both jerk.
"Really? When?"
"Not too long ago."
"Well, he's been shot at once, had a knife to his throat... twice. And I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't told me everything that's happened..."
Aleric frowned, thinking. "Are you sure he isn't making this up?" He finally asked. "How could a feien get himself into all those positions? He can't go very far by himself and--"
"Oh, it happened. Silva's a lot of things, but he doesn't lie." Ice said. "At least not often. And not about stuff he knows I'd rather NOT hear."
"He uses the door." Nack called out, munching on a handful of cookie. "It's right over there. It goes places."
"I knew I shouldn't have made it look like a closet." Ice replied, groaning. "But yeah... He goes through the door when I'm not looking."
"Has he done it often?"
"Yep." All three replied at once.
"Danger seems to be attracted to him." Ice said, shrugging almost hopelessly. "But he knows what happens outside of Gaia... outside of this dimension, even. And it's somewhat understandable that he might try to warn others. In his... rude little way."
"...That's why he wanted me to learn to fight..."
Ice raised an eyebrow. "He wants you to learn to fight?"
"Yeah. With a staff."
"That--" She muttered, getting to her feet. "That isn't why he wanted you to learn to fight." She gritted out. "He's not big on fighting people that can't defend themselves."
"He wanted you to learn to fight so he doesn't feel guilty about kicking your a**." Nack said, earning a nod from Nick. "And since he spent months and months training us as trainers--"
"Then he wants you to be a damn good fighter." Nick finished. The boys looked at each other. "He's going to kill him." They said at the same time.
"Not if I have anything to say about it." Ice muttered.
"I can take care of myself." Aleric said, making her jerk. "Or at least I will be able to when I'm done. Isn't that right, Nick and Nack?"
"Silva's been training since he was a juvenile..."
"Then I'll just have to work harder." Aleric said, looking determined.

"Set it up again, please." Aleric said, balancing his newly shaved staff in his hand. The wood was smooth, thanks to the piece of sandpaper he had ripped off of the large sheet Ice had offered him. And slightly indented where his hand fit. But he still wasn't used to it.
Nick and Nack nodded, setting up the popscicle sticks in the arrangement Silva had created a long time ago, the grapes where the heads would be. They were, so the boys told him, closer for this practice than for the chain. Something told him a lot of thought had gone into that decision.
That in itself was a scary fact.
He stepped into the center of the training stage, hitting out, then slashing the staff as Nick had shown him. It cracked the popsicle, but not enough to break it. Then he jumped onto the staff, kicking out. And once again wound up falling on his butt.
"You have to do it faster!" Nack called.
"That's as fast as I get!" Aleric replied, a hint of frustration in his voice.
"Then use more force." Nack called back, a hint of "Duh" in his voice. "You're TRYING to break the sticks."
"But if I break them what will I practice with?"
"Ice has a huge box full of them! She replaces it whenever we run out." And from that comment Aleric knew they ran out on a semi-regular basis. He shoved himself to his feet, then tried the jumping kick again, starting out at a run to give him more momentum. It cracked, almost breaking as his feet hit it. And then he fell. "Oof!"
"Whoohoo!" The boys yelled. Making Aleric bite back a triumphant grin. He shoved himself up.
"Let me guess, Silva breaks the stick."
"Yep." Nack said, grinning. "But he fell when he was first starting, too."
"That makes me feel better." Aleric said, honestly, getting to his feet.
"That was... how long ago?"
"Like two or three months at least."
"And that I didn't need to know." Aleric added, making them shrug. "How old is Silva?"
"Um... I think he's like eight months old or something..."
"Yeah, I lost track."
"And he's only been staff fighting--"
"He learned the chain first. Then the ball and chain. Then the staff." Nick said, listing the weapons on his fingers. "Or was it the staff, then the ball and chain?"
"They were at the same time." Nack said, nodding.
"Oh, right."
Aleric sighed, then went back to work. He had a lot of catching up to do, and not much time to do it. Thrust, swing, slash... thrust, swing, slash... CRACK!
"He did it!"
"WHOOT!"
Aleric watched in silent satisfaction as the stick finally fell. Of course it had already been cracked, but he wasn't going to complain. He turned, looking at them. "Dancing lessons time?"
"Nope!" Nick said, turning and grabbing the cherry behind him. "It's game time!"
One blonde eyebrow rose, taking in the cherry. "Game time?"
Nick smirked, kicking the ball towards him. "Can't touch it with your hands. The cup over there and the one over there are the goals. You and Nack against me."
"We don't want him to get the cherry in the cup over there." Nack added, pointing at their goal.
"Oh." Aleric said, watching as they kicked it back and forth once, then Nick started kicking the ball in short sequences as he headed for the cup Aleric was supposed to be guarding.
"Don't just stand there! Get the ball!" Nack called, making Aleric nod and run after Nick as quickly as he could.
The game raged on for a good hour, Aleric mainly just chasing whoever had the ball at the time. He didn't know quite what the point of the game was, but it was entertaining, and it forced him to run, which he supposed was a good thing. And the commnets the boys made as they played made him laugh.
Finally they relaxed, passing around the water "Bottle" and snickering slightly as Aleric tried to figure out how it worked. The water squirted him in the face.
"Hey, Sil--" Nack started out, glancing over at him, then stopping, turning red. "I mean, um--"
"Aleric." Aleric offered calmly, taking another drink.
"Yeah. Aleric." Nack repeated, his tone going quiet.
"What's the problem, Nack?" Aleric asked, curious.
"... Nothing."
"He misses Silva." Nick said, eating a grape. "He's got a thing for him."
"I do NOT!"
"Like hell you don't!"
Aleric blinked, watching in shock as the two boys started fighting. All over Silva?
"They fight over candybars, too." The voice made him jerk, turning to look at a female wolf. "You shouldn't pay attention to them when they get like this."
Aleric nodded, wondering why he was surprised to see a wolf. Or that the wolf was talking. "You belong to Silva?"
"He is my cub." She replied, her eyes seeming to gleam. "And the leader of this pack." There wa a warning there.
"I agree. He is much stronger than I am." He replied calmly, although he doubted feiens had "Packs."
"You will do well to remember that."
"Yes ma'am."
Sonnet nodded, satisfied with his reply.
Aleric just sighed.

((Shop RP))Meeting Ruya Aleric flew into the shop, glancing around curiously. He was kind of hoping to see Silva, if the other feien hadn't left yet, that was. He wanted to ask him about his progress. He figured if the other male was so intent on him learning to fight, he might be willing to make sure he was learning correctly. Besides, as pathetic as it seemed, Silva was as close to being a "Friend" as Aleric had at the moment. He sighed, propping his staff over his shoulders, his arms up and bent to hold it as he dropped down on the counter. "Well, I suppose so," Ruya said doubtfully to the pixapet at her side as she entered the shop on foot. "But not everything TV says is in fact the truth." The pixapet at Ruya's side, who appeared to be cosplaying Sailor Jupiter, made a barely audible response before she was cut off by Rishi who was trailing behind Ruya by a little distance. Annoyed, the cosplaying pixa stopped and leaped back at Rishi, which set off a rather typical good-natured tussle. Ruya sighed, shaking her head slightly at the pixas, and brushed herself off compulsively. She could dust off the rest of her, but her feet weren't going to get any better until they dried. Perhaps up on the counter she could let them hang down and they would dry faster? Using the magic she typically ignored, Ruya lifted herself up to the counter - only to realize there was another feien present. "Oh." She said, her eyebrows raising. "Hello." Aleric glanced up, then smiled, a hint of sheepishness in his eyes as he brought his staff down. She was most definitely not Silva, he thought dryly. "Hello." He said, nodding slightly. "I'm Aleric, and you are?" Ah, she had forgotten her manners. She should have introduced herself when she stumbled upon him in the first place. "Ruya." She said, fighting off the slight blush of embarassment that rose. "It's nice to meet you, Aleric. I don't believe I have ever seen you around before." He laughed, just a little. "Tht's because I've not been around very long. I was reborn... oh, about a week ago. I haven't met many other feien." He said, calmly. "Simon, Silva, and Reneeka, I believe." "Reborn?," Ruya questioned. That would make him the product of a gemstone, perhaps? Interesting. She tried to choose neutrality on the issue of who he had met, but their seemed to be some sort of lag which allowed a comment to slip through. "Silva? I'm surprised he told you his name." She glanced down, brushing away an invisible speck of dust from her hip, before continuing. "I haven't met Reneeka or Simon, but Simon is the new owner of the shop, correct?" "He didn't exactly tell me his name. We share a bondmate, you see. I knew his name long before I met him." He replied, almost absently. "You know him?" Then he got distracted by the question about Simon. "Yes, he is. An interesting feien. Very big on genetics and biology by the looks of it." "Ah," Ruya said, making the comment encompass both topics. "Biology and genetics are interesting topics of study. Hopefully I'll run into Simon at some point." She looked down at her feet, the reason she had come up to the counter in the first place, and then back up at Aleric. She guestured to the surface and then asked, "Mind if I sit? My feet are a bit muddy from walking and I was hoping to let them dry so I could brush the dirt off." Realizing that might make her look a bit odd, Ruya hastened to add, "Also, I have never met someone who was reborn from a gemstone." She had to imagine that was what he had meant. "If you don't mind, I would be interested to know what that was like. Do you remember anything from before?" "Of course, feel free." He said, motioning downwards. "From before, no..." He said, thinking back and dropping down himself. "In fact I barely remember being reborn. It was... interesting. And blurry." He replied, sounding vague, although he didn't wish to be. "I guess that doesn't help much." "Thanks," Ruya said, sitting with obvious relief. Getting her feet dirty was really the only disadvatage to walking. Someday she really ought to figure out a practical way to make feien shoes. At his admission that he didn't remember anything, Ruya nodded. "It's alright. I was just curious. In fairy tales and stories it seems like people who end up sleeping for a while always remember everything that happened before they were asleep, which I thought was a little unrealistic. I mean, it seems like there has to be some sort of general memory decay over time in reality, not to mention that fact that traumatic events often..." she trailed off and chuckled a little. She was rambling again. "Sorry." He just smiled, leaning back on his hands. "But there's a difference between me and sleeping people. I was dead." He said, almost blandly. "And who knows how long I was a gemstone?" He shrugged, amused. "Death is different from sleeping I would think. You don't need help to wake up after a nap. Although Silva is quite good at helping." There was a dryness to his tone with that comment. "So what do you like to do, Ruya?" Ruya blushed slightly, realizing how insensitive it had been of her to want to talk about him being dead. She decided that while she would love to argue that perhaps he wasn't really dead, since it seemed his spirit would have been trapped in the gemstone instead of moving on in some way - she decided against it. She so rarely had a chance to speak with other feien, she shouldn't ruin this one. Silva. Again. Ruya stifled the urge to ask about him. Either she would see him again herself or she would not. No need to ask about him. Taking a deep breath, she smiled slightly at the question about herself. "I like to read, take walks outside, paint, and hang out with the pixas." She pointed to the two still staging a mock battle down below on the floor. "What do you like to do?" "Honestly? I haven't figured that out yet. I do enjoy 'Dancing.'" His tone said that the dancing he was speaking of wasn't what was usually considered dancing. "And I'm learning to play soccer. And to use a staff. I've been planning on asking Ice to take me to the bookstore." He said, looking thoughtful. "I would like to have something interesting to read." He turned, curious. "Do you have any suggestions?" Pushing aside her curiosity at what Aleric meant by dancing, Ruya brightened up considerably when asked about books. "Well, it depends on what you're looking for. Classics or something new? General genre? I mean, science fiction, poetry, general fiction, non fiction?" He shrugged. "As of now I don't know." He replied. "I suppose I'll have to try all of them and decide. My bond and Nack like science fiction. Perhaps I'll borrow one of their books." Ruya shrugged, "I'm not a huge fan of science fiction myself. I prefer classic-type literature like Shakespeare, Hemingway, and such. Although my bond seems to like science fiction." She sighed, there was no accounting for taste. "The best way to find what you like is just to read a lot of different things though, see what speaks to you. Literature is like art that way I think." He nodded. "A trip to the library or the bookstore is in order. I think I'll like that." He said, nodding slightly. He sighed, going silent for a second, looking over the shop. It was quiet. And there was no sign of Silva. "In fact, I believe I might go ask Ice if we can go now." He finished, shoving himself to his feet. "Thank you for your advice, Ruya. I'm sure we will see each other again." He said, offering his hand with a little bow. "I'm happy to talk about books anytime," Ruya said, studying her feet. They appeared dry and she leaned forward to brush at them, missing his bow. "And hopefully we will see eachother again, you seem very polite." "Only in polite company, I promise you." He said, dryly. "It was nice meeting you." He said, heading for the edge of the counter and taking to the air. Then he flew out, already thinking about how he would like a trip to the bookstore. After a bit of brushing, Ruya finally had her feet to an acceptable level of cleanliness and she stood ready to head out again. When she got home she would have to soak in the sink. Gliding back down to the floor, she gathered up her wayward pixa companions and made her way back out the door.

Aleric was sitting indian-style on one of the books Ice had gotten him, reading right beside Kisa as he had started doing every day at this time. Kisa didn't seem to mind sharing her reading time, and he liked knowing that he wasn't alone, even if reading was a solitary hobby in itself.
It had taken him a few tries, but he had gotten to where he could turn the page easily, something he was quite proud of, actually. He disliked asking Kisa for help, since it interrupted her reading.
He glanced up as Ice walked into the room, smiling slightly. Ice liked them reading. In fact, she did everything she could to encourage it. For everyone in the house. He knew for a fact that Nack had a gigantic collection of sci-fi books thanks to her. Nick read sports guides and magazines, Silva read what could only be described as porn. Aleric shook his head at that one. They were feien. They didn't even have those parts!
"I brought you something, Aleric." Ice said, making him look up. "Actually, I was going to give the red one to Silva, but when I took it into the room the boys kicked me out. They don't like butterflies for some reason."
Aleric stood, heading towards her to look at what she had. Two butterflies in two cages, one red, one purple. They were quite pretty. "I dislike taking something that was meant for Silva." He said, hesitantly.
"Can you really see Silva enjoying having a butterfly?" Ice asked dryly.
"Well... no." He said.
"And I was wondering if you knew your element." She asked, making him blink.
"I'm not sure, but I think it's life." He replied, shrugging. "I seem most comfortable when around others. And then there was the bird--" He nodded towards the birdcage in the corner where the hatchling was sleeping.
"Silva's is shadow." Ice responded, pulling out two small bottles. "There are to feed the butterflies. Once a day, please. And now I'll leave you two to your reading."
"Thank you, Ice." Aleric said, nodding.
"I just want you to feel comfortable. I noticed you've been working out with Nick and Nack, would you like some weights of your own?"
"I never thought about it..." He said, looking surprised. "It would help, wouldn't it?"
"If you're planning on becoming Silva's sparring partner? Most definitely." She replied, almost making him wince. "I think a plastic dip would make it easier on your hands..."
"I should make my own weights." He said, calmly.
"Then I'll get you the supplies." She said, making him groan. He could find his own supplies-- Then he stopped. If Silva lifted something better than he did, Silva would have the advantage. He already had the advantage. He was much stronger and had battle experience.
Aleric figured he would need all the assistance he could get.
"Normally I wouldn't agree with two of my pets fighting." Ice said, returning with a handful of different sized nuts and bolts. She dropped a small cup on the table, motioning for him to come over. "This is plastic dip. We use it to dip the blades in, so the edge won't hurt people when they're shipped. Make sure you cover the middle completely or it'll come off later. But like I was saying--"
"I will learn to fight, not just because Silva says to, but because it'll be good for me. I enjoy what I've learned so far." He said calmly, matching the bolts to their respective nuts. He screwed them together, then went to work dipping them, using a string tied at the head and the nut of the "Weights" to lower them in.
"Yeah, that's what I thought you'd say." She replied, watching him groan as he got to the larger bolts.

Lady in Distress Patience flew into the shop. She seemed very unhappy and looked like a wreck. She tried to make it to the counter, but settled for a half crash landing on the floor." Great.... Just perfect..." Patience muttered as she picked herself off the ground. Brushing her wings off, she noticed she just made her wing worse then it was before. Drooping that wing a bit, Patience sat down on the ground with a sigh. She was really not having a good day. And to now top it all off, she was sitting on the dirty floor." When was the last time anyone swept in here?" She commented rather dryly, annoyed at her present condition.Aleric headed into the shop, intent on finding the list of elements. Ice's question about what his was had made him curious. He paused, looking around, his eyes catching on the green feien on the floor. He jerked slightly, dropping down to the ground. "Are you okay?" He asked. Patience whinced again as she tried to move her wing. Looking around where she was, she was trying to find something that might help her since no one apeared to be around. But everything looked so dirty on the ground level." There is a reason I like to land on the counter. Ugh. Now I know why Amalthea looked like a mess... Ugh. I am so going to need a bath after this." Patience was sulking, her day just kept getting worse and worse.Aleric winced slightly, seeing how she was holding her wing and speaking to herself. She hadn't noticed him. He moved closer, not wanting to spook her, but needing to help if possible. He cleared his throat. "Ma'am? Are you okay?" He asked, a little louder this time. In the back of her head, something seemed to be there. The a voice came. Looking around, she then noticed the Ancient landing nearby." Frankely... No. No I'm not ok. Today has been a total wreck and I am having no luck. First at home my bath breaks... Then I find someone accidently shifted my house where I sleep, so everything is tilted. Then I end up the recepient to a stray milk bottle from Fortune. I finally free myself from under it, when I end up nearly crushed by the kid. I usually love kids, but not when they crush the life out of me. Thankfully I have been studing Stone skin, or I would have been in real trouble. But I did hurt my wing a bit, so I decided to come here for some peace and quiet and I nearly get eaten by an owl who wanted to make me lunch. Then I finally get here and end up on the floor. This just isn't my day..." "It sounds to have been a difficult day, indeed." He replied softly, smiling in empathy. "If you would like, I might be able to speed up your healing. Although I can't heal... yet." Mentally he made a note to learn that skill. If Silva could do it, so could he! "And I could help you to the counter, if you would like." Patience looked around at her present condition and then back at the ancient." I think that would be a good idea. I really can't stand being on the floor. It's flithy. Someone really needs to give this place a good sweeping and mopping." Patience remarked, unhappy about being surrounded by so much dirt and filth. She just hated being dirty and with her bath out of commission, she wasn't looking forward to trying to clean herself with out it. She brought her attention back to the ancient, then to the counted far above." So what's your plan?" "I will have to carry you." He said, not minding the fact, but not sure she would be so happy about it. "Unless that would be a problem?" Carrying? Well, that wasn't exactly what she had in mind, but it wasn't exactly a terrible thing either. Though she would do anything to get out of the filth. She HATED being dirty. She looked him over. He wasn't to much taller then herself, and if she tucked her wings a bit, he might be able to carry her. Though his wings didn't really look all that impressive in size." Do you think you can carry me?" Not trying to sound insulting, she just didn't want him hurting himself while trying to help her. Then she would really feel bad." I don't need the both of us injured..." "I think I can manage." He replied dryly, heading towards her and making a seat with his hands. "You need to focus less on your wings and more on your magic for flying." He said, motioning for her to sit so he could carry her. "But it's difficult to do when in pain." Patience looked at him, cocking her head to the side." Flying with out my wings? You used magic for flying? I guess that would explain how some of the other feiens who have odder looking wings are able to fly without flapping. Interesting." She had never thought about magic helping her fly. But it kinda made sense. She was not like a bird or bat, that had hollow bones, yet she flew with relative ease. It could be due to her using magic without thinking. It could explain why she usually didn't get to tired flying about as she does. Shaking her head to get beck to reality, she walked over to where Aleric was offering to help her. Wincing, she shifted her wing to a better position. She bite her lip as she moved it, then she sat in the make-shift seat. With her jaw set, and her mind reaching out for magic around her, she nodded her head to show him she was ready. He took to the air slowly, a little smile pulling at his lips. "With as worn as my wings are, I find it better not to use them more often than I have to." He said softly, stepping down on the counter and lowering her, being careful of her wing. Then he reached out, touching the injured wing in question, focusing on his minor healing ability. Patience only opened her eyes when they touched the counter. It seemed to work better then she expected. Though she flinched as He took her wing in his hand. She turned and watched what he was doing." How are you doing that? What are you picturing or thinking to do healing magic? I am rather new... ouch.. And I don't quite know how this all works." She cringed as the wing got moved a bit with her trying to talk to him. She hoped it wasn't that bad, as much as it was hurting. Atleast it did move, so it wasn't broken. Which was a good thing." I... I don't think I got you name sir... My name is Patience." She watched a bit more.. Then said in a softer voice." ... Thank you." "It's not healed... but it should feel a little better soon." He said, pulling his hand away. "There's magic inside of us. We're magical beings, after all. So I kind of... focus on my gut reaction." He finished, shrugging. "And that's a lovely name. I'm Aleric. It's nice to meet you in a more... peaceful setting." He offered his hand, admiring her eyes. Patience was taking aback at his offered hand. She had never seen another feien do this to anyone before. Less offer it to her. This was a thing she only saw in the knight movies Shiro was fond of. With her eyes flickering a bit from his hand to his face, studing him for a sec as her hand slowly came up to place her hand into his." Nice to meet you Sir Aleric." He grinned, shaking her hand, then bringing it up to brush a kiss over her knuckles. "I'm just Aleric. Nothing very special about me, honestly." He said, letting her hand go. "In fact, I'm still not sure what my element is." He turned, looking at the list. "Although I have a good idea." She recienced a kiss, which was what she expected, and yet hand not. Though at the mention of his element, she was curious. Patience looked at him, kinda squinting to see him, and yet kinda seem beyond him. She continued to stare at him, she also sniffed the air. After a bit, she stopped and shook her head." Well, for one thing, your not earth like me. Talon said something about being able to sense the same element. And you don't ahve that um... Earthen quality that seems to be around the few earth feiens that are around. Well, Ian wasn't earth, but he was plant. And it felt similar... Your is, but isn't. Your not air either. You don't have that airy quality that air feiens seem to have either. You seem to calm to be a fire... Though I don't know what you could be though. Sorry." She wished she could ahve been more help since he had helped her. Her wing still hurt, though it did feel better then it did before. A gut feeling. That's how magic worked? Maybe she was trying to hard. She turned her attention to look at her wing for a second.Alek and Cosnaidis entered the shop, Alek riding in his usual place by the scruff of her neck. "I just want to make sure nobody's taken it down, that's all, we won't even be gone for ten minutes," Alek was saying to the cat. She merely huffed in response. He looked about, then noticed a pair of feien on the counter. "Hello," he called in polite greeting. "Perhaps I can figure it out." He said, nodding in agreement with her comments. "I um... shall leave you and you--" He said, nodding a greeting to Alek. "To talk while I figure it out." He finished, smiling crookedly. He gave a sketchy bow before heading for the list. Soon he was lost in his study, as he tended to get when reading. Patience turned to the newcommer and turned away from her still hurt wing. He was new, but yet he seemed familiar. Patience tilted her head, trying to recall where she had might have seem him. Though that cat looked more familiar." Hello there." Nai jumped up on the counter a short distance away so she wouldn't risk knocking over the feien, and Alek glided over to her. "I'm Alek," he introduced himself. "And this is Cosnaidis." He gestured to the cat now curled up, muttering obscenities to herself about irresponsible juveniles. Patience looked down at the younger feien and smiled, trying not to move her wing to much." Well it's nice to meet you Alek, Cosnaidis. Are you a recent blooming? I know there were several from Ian and Aria, are you one of their children?" He kinda reminded her of Ian, and was blue like Aria, so there was a high posibility he was one of their kids. That and she didn't know of to many other juvinials that were about. Though she didn't know if she was right or not, that's why she was asking.Alek blinked at the question, then nodded. "Yes, I'm one of Aria and Ian's children. My bond is Sevvie," he said, smiling at her. "Do you know him?"" Ah!" Patience slapped her closed fist into an open palm, realizing why he was familiar yet she had never seen him before. He was Sevvie's bloom she had met before. And that's why the cat was familar, she had seen the feline with Sevvie before. This was the leaf bloom that he kept in the terarium." Yes, I know Sevvie. We have met a few times. I saw you when you were still a Bloom... er... Leaf. Leaf bloom. That always confused me how a feien fit in a leaf, but here you are. My name is Patience. I also know both your parents as well. Nice to meet you." Patience bowed her head, moving her wing. She flinched and brought her hand to her shoulder. She really was going to need to do somehting about this. She woulnd't be able to head home like this.Alek looked at her curiously. "Something wrong?" he asked, then felt stupid immediately after. Duh something was wrong or she wouldn't be flinching. " I had somewhat a bad day. I crash landed and hurt my wing. It's, nothing to worry yourself about. Thank you though for the concern." Patience didn't want the young Feien to worry himself about her. She was feeling better and her motherly insticts was taking over. She didn't want the young feien to worry about her. She'll be fine.Aleric looked up at those words, scowling lightly. She was still hurting... He only knew one feien that could help, but Silva was busy... if he was even here... He paused, seriously debating going to find him. It wouldn't hurt to look, would it? On second thought, knowing Silva, it might... He headed for the two, offering hesitantly. "My um..." Friend? Brother? Nemesis? What WAS Silva, anyways? "Aquaintance knows how to heal... if you would like me to see if I can find him." He offered. He looked up at the oddly-marked purple feien. "Well, supposedly I'm able to heal a little bit," Alek said dubiously. "My element is Life, you see, and um... I don't know if I can do you any good but I could certainly try..." He blushed a bit - his magic was a bit pathetic, but he did want to help her. Especially if she knew his bond. She looked over at Aleric, and bit her lip." Well, it seems as pensive as you are with talking to him, I think I don't wan tot put you in that position." Patience looked at her wing questioningly." Gut reaction eh? I wonder." Colsing her eyes, she just relaxed. Letting the energy float up around her. She didn't try to pull it like she normally did, rather was trying to push it lightly and pull it flowingly around her wing. Focusing on where it hurt. She opened her eyes to look at her wing and her Eyes seemed to be Glowing brighter then before. He watched silently for a second, glad that his advice seemed to have helped. Then looked over at the juvenile. "I'm a life element, as well. Although I don't know many spells yet." Alek felt the pull of the magic, felt it in his very bones. Almost without thinking, he laid his hand on her shoulder, trying to supplement her own healing magic with his. It was the duty of a Life feien to help those in need - she needed healing, and he would damn well try to help it along. Patience felt a hand on her shoulder. It broke a bit of her concertation, but she saw the young feien trying to help her out. She smiled, her eyes turning up in happyness at the corners. Then she turned to look back at her wing and set back to concentrating. It was feeling better, but not there yet. She contiued to mold the enegry around her wing, making it spiral around the hurt part, imagining a strand of magic weaving itself to and fro around the limb. It was as if she could almost see the magic. But not quiet yet. Her knees were getting weaker as the wing was feeling better. Her form seemed to be half sinking to the counter top.Aleric reached out, just waiting to grab her before she fell. He didn't want her to hit the counter and hurt herself, not right after working so hard to heal! Dimly Alek realized that he didn't have enough magic to help her out that way, so he felt for the flow of magic from his hand and bade it stop, feeling as if he were working through molasses, then concentrated more on helping the odd feien keep Patience on her feet - he may not be able to help magically, so he'd just help her pride. He had to help her any way he could. Had to. As she finished healing, she was rapidly loosing her consiousness. The last thing she realized was the two of them was trying to catch her. She was out. Her strength sapped, she fell unconsious. It was just a build up of everything that had happened. She had no more energy left, she was passed out. Though she was breathing fine, and the wing seemed to not be hurting her anymore. She was sleeping for now.Aleric caught her, smirking slightly. "She's had a rough day." He said softly. "Indeed," Alek said, his head still a bit muzzy from using magic. He looked at the other feien. "So you're a Life element too?" he asked as he started working on shifting Patience to a more comfortable position without dropping her. Aleric nodded, helping the other male lower her gently to the counter. Then he sat down himself, using his leg to prop up her head. "I am. But I'm afraid I haven't been around long enough to do much with it. I was reborn less than a week ago." "But you're an adult, aren't you?" Alek asked, blinking. "I've been around for about a week, and I'm a juvenile. Wouldn't that have to make you older than me?""In a way. I didn't come from a bloom. At least not this time. I was dead, then someone brought me back. They call it being an 'Ancient.'" He replied, glancing down at Patience to make sure she looked comfortable. "She's quite beautiful, isn't she?" He asked, almost idly. Dead, then brought back? Was such a thing even possible? Hmmm... Science had better have a good answer for this. He shook himself at the question, snapping out of his private musings. "Huh?? Oh, um... I guess?" Alek stammered out, stumbling over his words in confusion. She was pretty, he supposed, but he hadn't ever really bothered with how she looked. "Is that why you're all wierdly marked? Because you're an Ancient?" he blurted out, then sighed inwardly. He really had to start thinking these sort of things through before he said them. Aleric blinked, then laughed softly. "I don't know why I'm marked so weirdly. I believe I was born this way." He said, amusement in his eyes. "I hadn't realized I WAS marked strangely, actually. But I haven't met many feien as of yet." "Well, I haven't either so I suppose I shouldn't be saying that," Alek admitted. "But I've only seen one other feien who was as... um... colourful as you are, and that was Kojak." He shrugged. "Everyone else I've seen has fairly plain-looking markings by comparison."Aleric nodded. "I suppose I do stand out." He didn't sound as if that fact bothered him. "It's not something I'm going to worry about, it's just a part of who I am." "Do you think we should try to wake her?" He asked, looking back to Patience. "Mm, probably not. She probably needs to rest after having expended so much energy healing. I know I could sure use a nap right about now," he said, grinning wryly. Then his face fell into what can only be described as the "Oh-s**t Expression." "Oh man, it's late. I've been gone way too long, Sevvie's going to notice for sure!" He thwacked his forehead with an open palm, mortified. Still, duty demanded he do something about Patience. "Uh, if she doesn't wake up, I could take her home on Cosnaidis. I don't know where she lives, but I'm sure Sevvie wouldn't mind her coming over... Or maybe we can rouse her just long enough to get directions?" he asked, fretting just a bit. He frowned, looking thoughtful. "I'll stay here. She'll wake eventually." He said calmly, nodding with that decision. "You should go home, your bond is probably worried." His was probably worried as well, but he doubted she was AS worried as the juvenile's. Silva was here somewhere, after all. Alek nodded. "Thanks..." he started, then paused, frowning. "You know, I never caught your name, nor gave you mine. I'm sorry; I'm Aleksander.""It was a pleasure to meet you, Aleksander. I'm Aleric." Aleric replied, smiling. Patience groaned as she was coming back to the land of the consious. Though her body wasn't happy with her in the least. She noticed right away that her wing felt better... And She also noticed she was in Alerics lap. Making a bit of a squeaking noise, she got off his lap and landed in a kneeling position next to him. Her face was beat red, and she was having trouble coming up with something to say."A pleasure to meet you, Aleric." Alek said, smiling. "Ah, back with us again, Patience?" He grinned ever-so-slightly wider as she blushed. "If you aren't feeling up to getting home by yourself, Nai and I could take you, or Aleric could, if you prefer.""Oh good, you're awake." Aleric said, calmly, a hint of laughter in his voice. "We were worried how we would get you home." He glanced at her wing. "Are you feeling better?" Patience didn't undersatnd why they both seemed to be in such good and cheery moods. Maybe a joke or something was said when she was still out of it, she didn't know. She turned and stretched her wing. It was a bit sore, but most of her body was sore." Aparently I can heal.... and it takes alot out of you. Ugh. I feel like I got run over by something. But I seem to be all better." She flexed the wing in question and she didn't flinch. It seemed better, in exchange for her being really really tired."Do you need assistance getting home?" Aleric asked. Flapping the wing a bit more, seeing if she felt up for a flight. Then she remembered something." Oh, I forgot the kits should be in Shiro's store. They took refuge there after Fortune arrived. Pickle stayed behind, but Magnet was to lazy to avoid the curious hands of the new baby, so he went to the store to seek some peace. His shop isn't to far from here. I think I can make it there and then Magnet can give me a ride back. I... I don't want to impose anymore then I already have. Thank you Aleric... Thank you Alek." Her face had lost some of the redness, though a nice small glow of red still hung across her nose."It was my pleasure to assist you." He replied, nodding slightly, a little smile playing on his lips. "I should be leaving, as well." He said, smoothly getting to his feet. "Not a problem at all, Patience," Alek said smoothly, smiling at her. "But I'm afraid I must take my leave now, or I'll catch it even worse from Sevvie than I've already got coming to me." He winced dramatically, then gave the two a bow. "I hope we shall get to talk again sometime soon!" he called as he trotted over to Cosnaidis. The cat was quite angry about being woken up and about having come to the shop at all, so Alek boarded meekly, ignoring the almost inaudible string of curses from the feline's mouth, and waved goodbye to the two still on the counter. Getting to her feet, Patience tested how well she could stand. Flapping her wings a bit, she got herself airborn. She groaned a bit, since she was sore, but she can fly. Waving to Alek as he left, she turned to bid farewell to Aleric. Her nose blush deeped as she looked back at him." T.. Thank you again. I... I hope we see eachother again soon. Have a good night." She stuttered in his precence. Then bowed in midair, she turned and left out the window before he could respond. Heading to the shop to have Magnet bring her home.He stood there for a moment, a little smile pulling at his lips, then dropped off the counter, heading out the door. He needed to get home.

Another Yanvir Moment Silva headed down the tunnel, his staff over his shoulder, his shoulders squared. He was going to get this done this time. No matter what it took. "Yo! Yanvir! I need your.. help." The last word was tinged with a touch of irritation. There was a low groan as something disengaged itself from a stuffed cat. One of Yanvir's clawed hands rose up, little wings a-flapping. The claw bore down on the hapless kitty, gripping the fur tightly enough to piece the cloth skin, and Yanvir pulled himself up. He looked more disheveled than usual, which was a feat. In a squeaky, annoyed voice, he drawled, "Whaaaaaat?" and blinked several times to clear his eyes. "I was told you could teleport me to Kalin." Silva said, walking over to him. He crouched down slightly, playing with his toothpick as he looked over the small feien. "I figure I might as well ask if you're as strong as they tell me you are." There was a deliberate hint of doubt in his voice. "Oh," said Yanvir, still blinking groggily. "Yeah, I do that." He was so tired he forgot to substitute his own name for the personal pronoun. Then he released the cat and slid back down out of sight. Silva blinked, wondering if he should haul the shorter male up. "Can you do it now?" He asked, leaning forward to look for him. The mumbled response sounded a lot like "bubblegum." Yanvir was curled up against the side of the kitty, chest rising and falling evenly, one arm protectively covering a Polaroid photo of a large unidentified girl in a party hat. His other arm twitched irregularly. Silva twitched, then hopped over the cat, landing beside the sleeping feien. "Hey, Yanvir. Wake up, would ya? I need you to help me get to Kalin." He nudged the other feien with his foot, trying not to lose his temper. Yanvir's eyes scrunched up tightly. He was not asleep, but he was attempting to appear that way. Grumbling more, he closed his claw against the Polaroid and left a set of small scratches over the girl's cheek. Silva cursed, then paused, a wicked smirk playing on his lips. "Wake up, old man, or I'll put the wheels back on the car. Then you'll NEVER get any rest." He said, levitating slightly as if to go do as he threatened. "You'll have to watch it all the time. Make sure it's still parked." "FINE," snapped Yanvir, darting up into the air. "Fine! You is paying me additional fee." He hovered with his hands on his hips, looking at Silva expectantly. "Never expected differently." Silva replied, shrugging. "What is it you want this time?" Mentally he was planning on taking it out of Aleric's hide. Why? Because Aleric would be much more fun than Ice. "Hmmmmm," said Yanvir, rubbing at his chin thoughtfully. His tails were going positively mad. "Yanvir wants... Eye Scream. With stroodleberries!" He grinned broadly at the thought and snapped his fingers -- no small feat given that he had claws. "Stroodleberries?" Silva repeated. "What the hell are stroodleberries? Strawberries, maybe?" "Yeah, whatever," said Yanvir. "You just get them for great and mighty Yanvir, mmkaaay?" He smiled in a sickly oversweet manner. Silva twitched, feeling slightly dirty at that tone. "Yeah, yeah." He muttered, taking to the air and heading down the tunnel. He headed home, dropping in through the window and grabbing the water bottle top with the strap. Then he headed for the kitchen, tugging the freezer open and popping the top off of the ice cream. He used the lid as a scooper, his actions showing he had done this at least once before. He was slightly freezing and had ice cream on his hands by the time he was done, but he shrugged it off, closing the door and heading for the sink to wash off, the bucket hanging over his shoulder. Then he took off, ignoring the others and heading back for the shop, ice cream at the ready. At least it wasn't his cherry chocolate chip. "Yo! Yanvir! Got your ice cream!" He called, hauling it over his shoulder. Ice would yell at him for leaving the lid off again... oh well. Yanvir was in the doll house in the corner and stuck his head out the window. "Is for birdie!" he called out to Silva, wriggling so he could get one of his arms through the small window and pointing at a mechanical chicken. It was the kind of toy with suction cups for feet that was placed on a window and when wound up, began to peck in an amusing (or annoying) fashion. "Feed birdie, Yanvir comes!" Silva jerked, looking at the bird. That proved it. The old guy was completely insane. But hell... With a silent curse he headed for the bird, dropping the bucket down in front of it and turning back to the other feien. "There. Fed the bird. Now can we go?" "Okay!" said Yanvir, still sticking halfway out of the window and wiggling. He was completely, unavoidably stuck. Yanvir frowned and waved Silva over. Silva headed over, raising an eyebrow, then headed into the doll house to pull from the other end. "You do this often?" He asked, jerking roughly. There was no verbal response from Yanvir as suddenly the scenery around them blinked itself into something different. One moment they were in the dollhouse, Yanvir's tails swishing, and the next the open air among the trees and sun and there wasn't any floor or windowsill to support them. Yanvir, of course, expected it, and slithered free from Silva's grasp in the blink of an eye. Silva blinked, falling for a few feet before using his wings to catch him. "s**t man, warn me next time!" He replied, breathing a little hard as he flapped his wings, getting his bearings. Then he paused mid-air, looking around. "So where's Kalin?" "Is here," said Yanvir. "Here" was a forest, somewhere in the mountains, the air crisp and chilly. Snow was visible on the peaks in the distance. The ground was damp with recent melt. They were hovering near a large gnarled tree, very old, with only a few living branches left. It was clearly in the process of slowly dying. The other trees in the area were not so afflicted. there was no sign of any fairy city, no trace of magic, just plain, unassuming forest alive with the chirps of birds returning from their winter pilgrimages. Yanvir took a deep breath of the fresh air. He liked forests. Certainly they were less interesting than Gaia on several levels (mostly involving the acquisition of shinies) but nature held a beauty unmatched in all society. Only then Yanvir was gone, flickering out of existence as if he had never been there in the first place, deserting Silva to this untamed wilderness.

Silva turned, looking to say something to the other feien, then cursed. Yanvir was gone. And he got the feeling there weren't any phones this far out.
But he was there for a reason, so he turned, starting in a circle around the dying tree, then slowly moving outwards. Birds, trees, more trees... He scowled, moving a foot farther out each time he circled until he reached fifty feet. Then he really started searching. It seemed like forever before he caught sight of the large hole. But it wasn't the type of hole he had expected.
He stopped, scowling as he took in the large wooden framing that ran along the edges of the hole. It was... man made. He hadn't expected that.
He shrugged off his confusion and focused on his darkvision, entering the hole cautiously. There were wooden slats on the walls, and faint traces of something on the floor, under several layers of dirt and grime. There were bugs on the walls, but no other signs of life. So he headed further in, scanning the floor.
More animal tracks... four toes, large claws. Not a badger... something bigger. He grunted, his attention caught by something black on the ground, and dove. He dropped down, grabbing the piece of cloth and looking at it closely this time. It was the cape. With a little smirk he took to the air, only to jerk as he heard a growling sound. He turned, finding himself staring into the eyes of a very pissed off looking animal.
"I'll just be going then." He muttered, taking to the air quickly, the wolverine on his heels (Alhough a good three feet below him), snapping wildly as he raced out of the shaft. He headed straight into the air as the wolvering looked aorund, snorting angrily. "I hate Canada." He muttered, glaring down at the beast. He finally had his cape.
And no idea how to get home.

He had been traveling... flying mostly, for a good day. And he had yet to find any sign of civilization. Silva sighed, dropping down on a tree branch. The new cape was... interesting. It helped block the wind, but other than that, he couldn't tell if it was doing anything else. At all.
... He was starting to get the feeling he had been screwed.
He scowled, staring at the horizon, then stopping as he caught sight of something that looked like smoke. With smoke came fire, with fire came one of two things. Civilization... or a forest fire. But the smoke didn't look big enough to be from a forest fire... he guessed. So with a shrug he took to the air again, flying mainly with magic. To conserve his strength.
It hit night, black as the hole he had gone into earlier, and he found the small town, blinking at the sign that announced it. "Colorado?" He read aloud, then cursed. "I should have known."
The crazy b*****d might have come from Canada, but he could teleport across the world with a thought. He obviously hadn't stayed there all the time. Silva dropped down on the sign, ignoring the cold against his feet, the biting wind that tugged at his cape and wings, and the feeling that he was missing something. All he wanted was a phone. Or--
The sound of a train whistle echoed through the air, making him turn. A supply train. There was a railroad that went directly to Gaia. He could hitch a ride on that, get home in a day or two, and not have to make Ice help him. This was HIS quest, after all.
With that thought he headed for the looming presence of the large, dangerous looking train, slipping into one of the side doors and heading for the main engine.
"Yo." He said, making the old man jerk and look around. "Where's this train going?"
The old man looked around, confused. He didn't see anyone there, but his eyes were getting a bit bad, so-- "Gaia. But this isn't a passenger train--"
"That's fine." Silva replied, arrogantly heading for the room in the back, obviously where the old man rested. He dropped down on one of the pillows and promptly fell asleep.
"Hearin' voices again..." The conductor complained, shaking his head. "All that time in Gaia can't be good for me..." A few minutes later the train jerked to life, leaving the Colorado station behind, a small feien wearing a cloak sleeping soundly in the conductor's quarters. **********************
*Two Days Later*
"You think he'll ever get back?"
"Nah, he's probably dead."
The sound of the boys fighting came next, making Aleric sigh. They had gotten more and more on edge as the days passed by. It was getting to the point he had to break up thier fights more often than he had to practice for his own.
"He's coming back." He called calmly from where he was lifting his own weights. He had brought them in here for Ice to show him how to use them, hadn't bothered to take them back. The repeated motion was almost calming.
"How do you know?"
"Because he said he would, didn't he?" Al went on, earning short nods from both of them. "Now relax, would you? And somebody spot me." He said, heading for the barbell. It was a replica of Silva's, but the bar was painted black.
"Yeah yeah."
"Not bad." The voice made them all jerk, turning to look in shock as Silva dropped in through the window, his cape hanging off his shoulder. "But can you lift them?" He asked, motioning to the weights.
Aleric paused, then nodded. The other feien had changed somehow. Just a little. "Yeah. I can."
Silva nodded, dropping down on the plushie couch, looking comfortably sprawled. "Then show me."

"I'm a day late and a dollar short. But happy summonday, Silva." Ice said as he woke up. She was typing something, as usual, making him groan and roll over. Ice sighed, finishing typing and leaning back to poke at him. "You got your quest done?"
He muttered something as she fingered the cloak, curiously. "What's it do?" She asked.
"No freakin idea." He replied, reluctantly sitting up. "Nothing much."
"Then why are you wearing it?"
"Because I worked my a** off to get it." He replied, sitting up. "And I'm going to need another bottlecap with a strap."
"Oh."
He shook his head. "I'll get it. Later."
Ice nodded, still fingering the cloak with a delicate touch, a slight frown on her face. "I don't like it. Take it off."
He glared at her, then shrugged. "Hell, might as well. It's not doing anything." He took it off, draping it on the tiger head of his bed. "but I'm putting it back on if I have to go to the shop."
"... Why?"
"Because I damn well finished my quest."
"Ahhh. Okay." She relaxed then, as if only realizing she had been tense. "It looks good, though. There's just something I don't like about it."
He grunted. "So what are you going to do for my summonday?"
"Cherry chocolate chip ice cream and cherry cake!"
"... Skip the ice cream part."
"Oh? Why?"
"Because Yanvir might make me feed it to the bird." He replied, standing and stretching. Ice smirked.
"Sounds like you had an interesting trip."
"Only the part with the crazy b*****d." Silva replied, taking to the air and heading for the windowsill. Then he paused. "I want some books."
"...Huh?"
"On fighting styles. If I'm going to turn the old man into a decent sparring partner--"
"You already know karate." Ice said. "I mean, we call it dancing, but--"
"I want more." He said, heading for his weights. "There was a show on TV about... what was it... Isreal or something."
"Oh... right..." Ice said, looking thoughtful. "I'll see what I can do."
He nodded, grabbing his barbell and getting to work. He had a fight to get ready for. And if he didn't accidentally kill the other feien, hell... he might have several fights to get ready for.
He only glanced up as Aleric entered the room, smirking as the other male picked up his own weights. "So... are we going to fight now?" Aleric asked, starting his reps.
"After I warm up." Silva replied, a little smirk playing on his lips. "You get your staff?"
"Yeah. Yeah I did."
"Good."

Staff hit staff with a solid, rapid beat, as if in time with the music playing in the background. One lashed out, hitting leg, and Aleric fell backwards. "Guard, Old Man. Guard."
Aleric nodded, shoving himself to his feet and assuming the stance. "Raise it. You're not fighting the boys this time." Silva muttered, hitting the other feien's staff with his own.
Aleric rose his staff and the silent battle began again, staff slamming into staff, jumps and kicks thrown in for good measure. "You're too damn slow." Silva finally stated, letting his staff down and looking irritated. "At this rate you're useless to me."
"Boss, isn't that a little harsh?" Nack asked, standing. "He's only been fighting for a few weeks."
"It's not his attacks that are the problem, brat. It's his speed. For the next month or two, cut back on his staff training, up his running." He paused, his mind going over the schedule Nack had shown him. "Soccer mainly. Try that football thing you were talking about. With him we'll have even teams. Nack you're with me. Keep up the weightlifting, you'll need it." Silva said, turning to Aleric.
"I won't give up my reading time." Aleric said.
Silva shrugged. "As long as you keep up your practices I don't give a s**t."
"Why are you doing this?" Aleric asked. "Not that I mind learning, but--"
Silva turned, raising an eyebrow with a derisive snort. "I could kill you now if you'd prefer." Then he nodding towards the boys. "Go get the grapes and meet us in the front yard. We've got a football game to play."
The boys cheered, heading for the fridge, leaving Silva and Aleric in the room. Silva headed for the small flags, grabbing them and heading for the window. "You comin?"
Aleric nodded, taking to the air and trailing behind the other male, wondering if football was anything like soccer. Silva slammed the poles into place, giving them a decent sized field. Then he turned, watching as Nick and Nack hauled a small bag of grapes from the house to them.
"We need lines in front of the goals." Nack said, looking at his small sheet of notes. "I got the string!"
Nick took one, setting up the far goal while Nack set up the near. "Okay, now we need the ball..." Nack went on, picking one of the smaller green grapes off and giving it a toss. "This'll do. The object of the game is to get across the string with the ball. But the other team has to stop you from getting there. If you get knocked down, and the other team has the ball, they head for your goal. Got it?"
"We got it, boy. Now let's get started."
They faced off in the middle, and Nick kicked the ball, throwing the game into play. The playing was vicious, full-body tackles, violent shoves, and no padding. And the game lasted a good hour and a half, with Silva's team winning, of course.
Nick and Nack fell to the ground, laughing wildly with adrenaline rush. "That's as fun as soccer!" Nick said, falling onto his back.
"We need to talk Ice into mowing the lawn." Nack replied, staring up at the grass stalks around him.
Aleric headed for the hose, hauling it over his shoulder and grunting loudly as he tried to drag it across the yard. Silva watched for a second, a little smirk playing on his lips as he headed for the faucet, turning the hose on. Aleric went flying, holding on to the wildly swinging hose like a man on a bucking bronco.
"Maaaaannn..." Nick said, watching wide-eyed. "I'm next!!"
Aleric gritted his teeth, wrapping his arms around the hose as tightly as he could, then repeating the action with his legs. He wasn't going to yell for Silva to turn the hose off. With his luck he would turn it up.
Then the hose went swinging, slamming him against the side of the house, hard. He let go as he went unconscious, his body falling to the ground. But Silva caught him before he hit the ground, hauling him over his shoulder.
"Turn it off, boys." He called, calmly. Nick and Nack nodded, heading for the faucet and turning it off as Silva flew around the house and into the bedroom. He dropped the other male on the plush couch, then hesitated before healing him. Thankfully nothing was broken.
"Why'd you do that, Boss?" Nack asked, entering the room.
"Heal him?"
"No--"
"Oh, that. Hell if I know. Seemed like a good idea at the time." There was a strangely cold look in his eyes as he shrugged. "He wanted it on. I turned it on."
Nick and Nack sighed, looking at each other and nodding. Silva still wasn't happy with having another feien in the house. And the best way to get rid of competition was to make it look like an accident.
Silva was probably really good at making things look like accidents.
