"You wouldn't know what....Skirt chasing was if you were getting chased...by the skirt!" R'ael attempts to shift his hold and actively flip his brother upside down in an attempt to make G'dor cease his grabbing and climbing.
"Now...whever you're willing to admit your resounding defeat, old man...I'll wash Jaiereth..."

"What's the matter, R'ael?" He grunted, for the moment resiting his brother's attempts but making no gain of his own, "You want me to give up because you're getting beaten by a skinny little twerp?"

Nevaeh smiled a mischievious grin glancing at Javareth noticing that the other rider had yet to move she gave the command for another plan. Javareth understood and being as this plan had nothing to do with damage he put it into motion.

Nevaeh placed her fingers into her ears having played this little trick before. Javareth then took in a deep breath and let it out in the loudest buldge he had ever musttered. The buldge echoed off the walls of the Weyr and then reverberated a few times before finally going silent.

"You? Win? You'd have to actually have something that passed for muscles first! Don't make me drop you in the pond again..."

G'dor's attempts to brawl quickly slammed to a hault as the dragon's bellow sounded from just behind him and his brother. Every muscle in his body tensed. His head was still locked, unfortunately to cover and save his poor ears he had to release his hold on R'ael and cup them over. "SHELLS!"

Queth grunted a bit, adding his own dragonet trumpet to the roar.
None of that! None of that! Mine does not like it!

Nevaeh smiled and removed her fingers from her ears, placing them on her hips as the roars echo died. Javareth eyed the little Queth for a few seconds, snorted and looked back at Nevaeh. He had only done what his rider had asked and thought nothing of the little brown's scolding.

"Now boys. If you two won't mind to behave for a while I know a few dragons who need baths." Nevaeh said her expression uncharacteristically serious.

((I don't know how I missed the whole roaring part but I musta....o_O))

"Gah!" R'ael claps a hand to his ear, ducking his head against the massive roar from behind. Somehow he manages not to drop G'dor, but he's not even sure how himself.
Jaiereth gives a short surprised trumpet of his own, though he cuts it off due to the surprise of his own rider, who rubs a ringing ear as the noise dies down.
R'ael offers a lopsided grin at the scolding. "I was behaving...I was just....correcting his missinformed opinion..." He says releasing his hold on G'dors head. "You know, G'dor...I though it took the Twins to get me in that kind of trouble..." He notes elbowing at G'dor, though a lot more lightly. "Lay off the skirt chasing jokes, they're getting old."

"It is lovely out. I think it's going to be a hot one today. Are you planning anything?" Remia asked idly. She knew her days would be filled with classes and chores, and then her Weaver projects later on. She hoped that next month's duty roster she could get included in her craft. She'd only missed out on it this month because she'd been late the first day of classes.

Trith, meanwhile, was pressing her neck into the oiled hands of Orana, letting her know without words that that felt just fine.

That feels good, but it's itchy just behind my jaw, Mine, and also on my tail.

Remia relayed this to Orana as she moved down to the tail, taking care to get in between the spinal ridges and everywhere else. They were almost done now.

((God I have put this off forever *Shoots self* Sorry! -_-))

"Naw I don't really have anything planned besides chores, candidate and for my craft." Orana explained still oiling. Orana began to move her hands under the dragonets jaw, it was a little dry. Well she couldn't have that now she thought to herself. "What about yourself and Trith?"

Orana smiled at them both "Maybe we should check on the flit eggs" she suggested grinning. "I can't wait to see what colour is in them." She smiled and wondered where Malathan and Ithean when, probally to see to the egg. was her first thought.

((drags the thread back out to RP a little with Kel))

"You know..." R'ael chastizes the blue dragon, as he scrubs the young creatures hide carefuly. "If you tip over the oil...I'm going to make YOU walk back and get some more...because it would be your fault..." He chastises, which makes the blue duck it's head, though the whirl of color in it's eyes looks prankish and amused.

Teyin perched slightly behind a nearby rock, round eyes fixed on the bathing dragon below as he absently munched a pilfered roll. He'd never really had the wonder or fear about dragons that the new candidates tended to have; he'd grown up around them. But he couldn't remember much before the plague, and so the younger little weyrling dragons made him curious. Those almost bumbling young things, one day going to be the proud dragons that fought Thread?

Ruminating over these thoughts as he watched curiously, he started as Isca suddenly winked out of between and landed beside him, chittering loudly and cheerfully.
"Hey, shush!" said the boy with alarm, half standing to go and grab the little fire lizard before it gave his place away.

Too late, he feared as he turned round slowly, a confused pale blue flit in his arms.

R'ael turns to look at the sound of chittering, wondering what a flit would be doing, and if it might not belong to one of the other riders, like him and his own proud flit.
"Hello?" He calls curiously, blinking at the boy as he stands to grab for the pale blue flit. "You need something?"
PostPosted: Fri Mar 10, 2006 10:52 am

"Uh, uh, no..." Teyin attempted to bring his stammering under control, and stood a little taller. Isca fluted a small sound and slithered out of his owner's arms, attempting to perch on the narrow shoulders before giving up with disgust and fluttering merrily down towards the water and the similarly coloured giant cousin of his.
Teyin took a step after it, but checked his step nervously.

"I mean, I mean... I was just looking, that's all.. I mean, the baby dragons are getting big now, huh?" It occured to him that perhaps he didn't need to be scared, but the little boy's body was still poised for flight.

"They are working on it..." R'ael offers an wide, harmless grin. He's stockily built, and powerful, which may make it seem a little strange that he's impressed one of the smaller sizes of dragon, but the two seem to suit each other in an subdued, impish fashion. "I'm R'ael, and this is Jaiereth." He says, introdusing the Dragon, who sits up in welcome, wings flaring, with a quiet noise in it's throat.

"I know," and Teyin let a mischievous grin slide across his face. "I actul'y pay attention to the weyr, not like the others..." Scruffy blonde-brown curls fell across his face at a head movement, and he wiped them quickly back from his eyes instinctively. "I'm, uh.. Teyin, and that's Isca," and the sudden note of reluctance crept into his voice; what if the man told the kitchens he'd been escpaing chores? But then, if he wanted to report him, no other of the weyrbrats had his description, let alone a fire lizard. He shrugged, and then grinned as Isca projected a mood of happiness, darting down to splash in the water beside the blue dragon.

"Why do the weyrlings always have to wash dragons so often?" The boy asked curiously, taking a few steps closer, emboldened by no opposition.

"It's actually because they're growing, and because Jaierteh likes to be clean too..." He says, as the blue ducks it's head to follow the path of the flitling. Something about it makes R'ael chuckle, and he itches a spot between the dragons wings. "They're growing so fast their skin will split if we don't take care and oil them, and that would make weak spots against the thread and 'between'...or so I'm told."
