It was only through pure instinct that Brooke somehow told herself to relax as Elli picked her up. It was, like everything else, different. Brooke wondered how long it would take to adjust to life where she didn't have to constantly move from the break of dawn until the dark of night. It had been driven into her after all this time. It was hard to imagine not moving all day.
And would living with a pride turn her into the thing she hated most? A cub who sat around, being lazy, playing all day? It was not so much that she had never played. She knew how to play, or so she thought. She'd played with her sister. But playing all day, scampering around. Little games. She wasn't too sure she was ready for all that.

"Briseis..."
He repeated, as if to associate the name with the face. He nodded, smiling gently as she began to play with his golden mane gently, leaning his head down ever so slightly so that the strands of gold were tickling the young cub's belly.
"My name is Rackna. Say, might you be hungry?"
He asked, that thought suddenly coming to his mind as he glanced down at her. She was awfully skinny, unlike his healthy, round cubs. Just how long had she been alone, anyway?
Solio chuckled, gently ruffling the young, solemn cub's hair. She smiled gently down upon this new, bold cub, her light blue eyes resting gently upon her unique colors. Her ears perked as the cub repeated her name though, and she cocked an eyebrow curiously.
"Now, how did you know my name?"
She asked as she stood, gently picking her up. She hoped the cub would understand that she did this just for the fact that the grass could be rather sharp for the young cubs who were not used to it, and she didn't want this poor little cub to get lost in the sea of green.
Brazen, not getting a response from the solemn teal lioness, trotted onward, a smirk on his face as he called out to the others that he was coming. He slunk carefully into the tall emrald grass, the dense blades enveloping the golden-hued cub. His eyes shifted from side to side, trying to catch a glimpse of red or grey through the maze of green. Suddenly, he popped out on the other side. He glanced back, seeing that his tailfeathers still clung to some grass. He shook it free, then as he was about to jump back in, he saw something on the horizon. Flakes quivering, he jogged foreward curiously. Why, it was a cub! He bounded over, skidding to a stop infront of the cub.
"Hello!"
He exclaimed jovally, beaming at Kish'ya.

"Bah!" snapped a young little lion, as she fell face-first into the sand around her. The cub fumbled onto her feet once more, after her paws had given way into the sand, which made her slip. She spit the sand out of her mouth, then used her paw to try to wipe it away: only to find out that her paws where also covered in sand, making her muzzle sting alittle after trying to clean it with the clean paw.
Areli then looked up, into the distance, and was surprized at what she saw. Lions! More lions! She had actually found herself a pride! What where the chances?
She forced her paws, back down into the hot sand hard, making herself run closer to the other lions, before slowing down again, feeling the sand alittle more loose, probably meaning that it was walked on more. She stepped up quietly, glancing at the other lions, her eyes jolting back and forth, as she looked around for the "Leader" of this pride.

Kish'ya Jumped as the other lion greeted her, "Wah!" She stared back at him, claws drawn in alarm, but immdiately retracted them when she saw he meant no harm. "Er... H'llo!" she replied nervously. "My name is Kish'ya," she said, relaxing slightly, though still a little shaken fom the greeting, "What's yours?"

Tay-yibah curled up into ball. "I just know." The simple truth. She had known about this Pride, had known about the Queen's and Princess. Knew that she could rely on Solio. She just knew. There was no real explanation.

Rackna's flakes quivered again, and yet another unknown scent filled his nose. He glanced up, then smiled as he first saw Brazen playing with a new cub, which he would need to meet, then to another cub who had wandered in. Where are they all from? He chuckled to himself, waving the new little one over. He noticed some sand on her nose, but didn't say anything to her. She looked healthy enough, which was good. It ment that she hadn't been wandering for too long.
"Hm."
Was all Solio said, partly because she had a cub in her mouth and partly because she didn't want to press the cub into telling something she didn't want to. As they slipped though the grass, Solio could just make out Brazen's stocky golden form, then she glanced over at Rackna. They all were tending to new cubs, it seemed. She was overjoyed at the new little ones. Not having any cubs of her own, she loved when lost ones came into the pride, so she could have a chance to watch over them.
"My name's Brazen. That's my da', over there."
He pointed with a forepaw to the large gold and scarlet male, the over to the slender jade queen.
"And that's my mother. Hey, you wanna play hide and seek with us?"
He asked suddenly, remembering that his siblings were waiting for him in the grass. He turned his head back to see if he could catch a glimpse of any of them, but he didn't.

Briseis smiled as his mane tickled her and she began pawing at it again. She stood as he asked if she were hungry, her stomach had growled some time before and she simply replied with, "Yes," with a bright smile on her face as usual. The cub looked around enthusiasticly for food. She walked closer to Rackna and rubbed up against his leg, and let out some what of a purr. She then pounced around looking for the food.

Soon, her eyes landed on a large male, of Scarlet and Gold. "Thats probably him..." she muttered to herself, her nose twitching from the sand. The cub starting to whine. She sat back on the hot sand, her bottom burning alittle from the quick tuch of the hot sand and stone. She then pat her paws together like she was playing the cymbals. The sand flew off, and soon her paws where clean, and the fur was once again soft and nice. She then once again wiped her nose and face, and the sand was gone, so she looked good again. She stood up, her butt hurting alittle from the hot sand. She shifted her tail low over it so it would clean the sand off and maybe help it alittle. She then started to walk alittle again, thinking if she should go up to the king or not, or wait for him. She desided to wait for him, but if he didn't come to her soon, or one of the other lions didn't come to her, she would go to them out of annoyence.

Getting slightly confused with everything going on she glanced to his dad, then his mom, then in the grass then back to Brazen. "Uh... Well, sure, but um, I was actually considering asking to join your pride. I just... don't know who to ask." He voice got quieter as she spoke until her last few words, which got suddenly back to her normal volume.
She was glad to see grass. It had been awhile, and the fresh look and smell made her glad that she had not stopped wandering.

He chuckled as Briseis rubbed against his leg, and he gently ruffled the fur between her ears.
"Well, come with me and we shall find you something to eat."
He said, standing. He begain to walk back toward the pridelands, when Brazen stopped him with two cubs in tow.
"Awesome. Hey guys, we got another player!"
He called over to the grass, which only rustled in return for no one wanted to give away their hiding spots. he rolled his eyes, then turned back toward Kish'ya. He motioned for her to follow him as he bounded over toward his dad, but stopped as he spotted another cub as well. He cocked an eyebrow, and called for her to come over too.
"I'll show you both to my dad, and you guys can both join the pride!"
He exclaimed as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Stopping when he neared his dad and Briseis, he smiled, motioning toward the two cubs.
"Can they join the pride da'?"
"Huh? Oh, these two? I saw them, but haven't had a chance to introduce myself. I'm Rackna, king of these pridelands. Of course thye may join, if they wish. I would never turn away a lone cub, or any lion for that matter."
He nodded, smiling to them.
"Why don't you see if they need something to eat?"

Kish'ya followed, and was surprised at the immediate acceptance. Grinning, she bounced in place, "Thank you, sir! Thank you very much!" she finally had a home! With lot of other lions to play with, at that!
At the mention of food, Kish'ya's stomach growled eagerly, painfully reminding her how long ago she had eaten. She stopped jumping at once, as she thought her stomach would cave in on itself from being so empty.

Areli sighed. Was she even noticed before? She saw the other cubs go up to him. "Thats it..." she muttered, then got up strait, then bounded over to Rackna with great speed, kicking up sand as she went over to him, and looked up at him, stopping behind Kish'ya.

Elli smiled as the young female relaxed, and turned, trotting towards Rackna, Brazen's golden form, and the tiny shapes of two more cubs. In the distance she could see Solio carrying yet another furry bundle, and wondered.
'Why are so many wandering?'
As she neared her mate, she noticed that one of the tiny figures was quite thin, though the others seemed in good health. She set the tiny female down before her mate and rubbed his cheek.
"My King, my Love, yet another cub... This is Brooke. Brooke, Rackna, king of these lands."
Elli introduced them, then turned toward the lands, she glanced at Illitashia, and the rose lioness nodded.
"Rackna. Illitashia and I are going to hunt, we'll bring back a kill." She said with a purr. "With your permission."
Rellick grew antsy as he watched Brazen and all the new cubs interact, until he finally trotted out of his hinding place and bowed a greeting. "Hello.. I'm Rellick." He said in a kind voice, smiling at Brooke, Briseis, and Kish'ya and Areli in turn. He nudged Brazen with his shoulder. "We're brothers."

It was the first time Brooke had ever been surrounded by quite so many lions. And it was the first time she had ever seen a male lion. All her life had been lionesses and prey. She had never seen her father, either. Her ears flattened slightly against her head as she gazed around warily. There were... too many lions.
Brooke's gaze landed on the majestic king Rackna. She dipped her head slightly, in her way of anything near politeness. The lion towered above her, and Brooke could only imagine how her father may have been like. Or was like. She didn't know.
Unintentionally, Brooke drew back slightly as yet another lion, who identified himself as Rellick, drew up. She followed Rellick's nudge to another lion, and gave a stiff smile that was what a meek smile had come out as. "I can tell." How she could tell, she couldn't explain. The two brothers hardly looked like each other. But it was a feeling she got. Yea, she was weird that way.

Elli leaned down and licked the top of Brooke's head, smoothing out her slight mane as it prickled with a motherly gesture before she even remembered that Brooke was not one of her children. She smiled at her sons, Rellick and Brazen, and wished the best for the new cub.
Rellick crouched down and flattened his ears, looking apologetic. "I'm sorry.. Didn't mean to frighten you Brooke... " He blinked big golden eyes at her. "Wanna play hide-and-seek with us while momma goes hunting? You can meet my sister Jadera, and our friends Akitana and Amirah too... They're a bit quieter than I am."
Elli laughed at her son and shook her head. "Indeed Little One, they are." Looking at Rackna, so grand and authoritative, she could understand why the little Brooke had stepped back between her forepaws, and it touched her that the little lioness sought her protection unknowingly. 'I would protect you from any enemy... But Rackna is not one...' She thought, nosing the little Femme once more.
