Hi I am Scorchbird you can call me Scorch or Kogasu it dosen't matter to me.I LOVE Japan a lot and well even though a lot of ppl make fun of me for it,I don't really care what they think.I've been wanting to learn Japanese for a while now and well I know its not a good idea to just go to a random website and expect to learn Japanese words and phrases because some of them can be wrong and stuff I had to lean that the hard way LOL.I decided to go to a forum because well it seems like many ppl here would be smart in helping me with the Japanese language. LOL wow sorry for the long post LOL redface

Hi!

I'm Moenen, second year Japanese Languages and Cultures student at the university of Leiden, in the Netherlands. I love ancient Japanese culture, especially those of the Muromachi and Tokugawa periods.

I hope to get a job at a publishing company one day and spend the rest of my life translating Japanese books and comics. blaugh

Konnichiwa! ^_^ Watashi wa Shyara desu! Douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

Hiya. ^^; I'm Shellagh. Nice to meet you all. I'm Shel for short. I'm 18 and just graduated highschool this year. I took 5 courses of Japanese in highschool. I've sadly forgotten much of it, though I might be able to get a very butched point across in a Japanese conversation. xd I joined to try and help myself re-learn what I forgot, and learn more! 3nodding

I'm starting a small course in Japanese for beginers in September, I watch too much anime with subtitles, and there's my experience of Japanese for you ^_^

One day I'd really like to be fluent in Japanese and live there, or at least work in a job that sends me to Japan every so often *grin* It's just such a cool, interesting place.

So uh . . . yeah . . . that's pretty much all I can think of right now!

Konnichiwa, minna-san! Watashi wa Himawari desu! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

You can just call me Hima for short though. Actually, I've been wanting to become fluent in Japanese for 4 years now. But I'm just doing self-study and I'm afraid I don't really have the enough resources for that. I think that learning for others would be better though, not to mention, more fun than talking with a Japanese grammar book! blaugh

I hope to be able to learn from you people! And I hope I can help you learn to, in some way! Take care then and see you around!

Ja ne~ whee

Ohayou Gozaimasu! Watashi wa Matsuo desu. Hajimemashite! Ogenki desu ka?

I really am interested in learning Japanese, planning to take Japanese class in High School. I hope that people will be teaching me this interesting language which has experienced a boom of people wanting to know. You have the Anime and Jpop to thank. My favourite Jpop Artist is BoA! Hope to see you around! (^w^)/V

Konbanwa minna-san. [Good evening, everyone]

Watashi wa Seigetsu Shimoyo desu. Yoroshiku. [I am Shimoyo Seigetsu. Please treat me kindly] *bows*

Please call call Shimoyo. I'm 15 years old, and I've just started teaching myself Japanese.

My friends who take Japanese are also helping me learn, and one of them is helping me find a teacher. There aren't many around where I live, and the best place to learn it is at the University, but I don't want to wait that long...

Also, my parents think I can't pull it off and for some reason, they think you have to learn it at a young age to be good at it, but I disagree, so I really hope by joining this guild, I can prove them wrong (once again, if you'd like to hear my stories, please PM), and prove I'm not a kid and I can do something if I really work on it. I hope you all can help me. ^_^

I really love watching (and drawing...) Anime, and everything Japanese (Movies, food, customs, etc).
Right now, I'm really into the Musical TENNIS no Oujisama [Prince of Tennis Musicals]. I'm buying a few of the soundtracks, and I also plan to get a few Kimeru CDs and DVDs as well.

I think I've said too much.

Ja ne, minna. (=^w^=)/

Konnichiwa minna-san!
Watashi wa F1RE_FLY, but you can call me F1RE for short if you like.

And apparently, this is the extent of my Japanese..... sweatdrop
I am 16 years old and my birthday is January 9, 1990. I was hoping when I started my Junior year in High Shcool, I would take Japanese 1 along with Fashion Design but sadly, the Principal fired the only Japanese Language Teacher because he doesn't like him.... talk2hand

Anyways, I like to draw and such, I am starting to enjoy sewing a lot and I hope I will be having a lot of fun here learning Japanese and more of the wonderful culture! heart
