There wasn't much to do when Kalyca wasn't around, and all of Odette's stories had already been told to her oceanic companions. At times she wondered how the sea could be so large and at the same time, hold an air of emptiness. You met others by chance if you left your home reef, and leaving said home would be the death of the directionally challenged. Luckily, the mermaid was neither afraid to leave nor lacking in an internal compass.
Her curiosity lead her to find what looked to be a small crevice, and being as foolhardy as she was, she pumped her tail and wriggled through, arms scraping against the cold rocks. What she found was a cramped space - to her it seemed so - and clear waters. Here, there was no place to hide. She tenatively broke the surface, licking the remainder of the sea's salt from her lips.
"How come I've never seen this place before...?" she bubbled, mouth partially beneath the surface. Maybe Kalyca knew of it...
She inhaled sharply at the sight of another and backed up, brow furrowing in an almost frustrated fashion. Way to go, Odette. You have a tendency to speak at the most unwanted of moments.

Kel looked up, searching for the source of the voice she heard. She smiled and waved. Curious about the girl in the water, she walked into the lake up to her knees, her skirt and top becoming wet from the lapping of the waves.

Lacuna smiled as the water came into focus. She closed her eyes and let the warm sun and the autumn breeze fill her body. Autumn was Lacuna's favorite time of year and sometimes it was overly visible. She opened her eyes and look about the place. There didn't seem to be one too many people around and so she sat cross legged, throwing a rock into the lake ever-so-often to watch it skip across the glittering water.

The points of her fins twitched, her wings drawing in to surround her narrow shoulders. Why was she so skittish now? For one, the lake offered no quick escape save for the entry hole, and even then it'd take some time. She found herself backpeddling, head ducking like a turtle's.
"Stay back, human!" Her voice didn't sound nearly as strong as she wanted it to.

Zoe sat in a clearing, eating a Chocodonut and smiling at the others. She put her feet in the pond, the waves soaking her legs.

"Human?" Kel giggled and obligingly stepped back out of the water, catching sight of a girl about her age tossing stones in the water. She watched her for a moment, unsure if she would be warned off at approaching her as well. With a slight shrug she decided to take a chance and move closer. "Hello."

Lacuna looked up at the girl who indded, loved green. She grinned and smiled tossing another stone into the lake.
"Hello", she said.

Kel grinned and sat down. "Hi, I'm Keladry.Do you live around here?"
She watched the girl in the water, curious, but not wanting to alarm her.

Zoe sighed, no one seemed to notice her. she got out a pad and draw herself in the lake.

Kel smiled and waved as she caught sight of another girl down the beach with a sketchbook in her hand.

Lacuna sifted the sand through her hands and sighed, "The underground is just.. so.. bland sometimes", she said.

Zoe looked up and added some animals to her picture, each section beautifully detailed. She got out a silver crayon and coverd her coloured picture. She then got out a sapphire ad made markes in the center of the pond, marking her name, hardly showing

Kel smiled at the girl beside her. "Do you really think so? I've only been here a day and I've already met an angel, I mean a real one. My cousins live here, I'm looking forward to seeing them again as soon as I find a place to live and get myself settled in."
