((Shadow Chateau --> Pools of Doom))
Jae grinned with satisfaction at Natsuki's comment, and determined in her mind to secure VIP passes for these two ladies should the band ever be in town. She didn't miss a beat as Alex walked off, giving her a signal to follow. Following at a casual gait, she felt slightly nervous, like she was suddenly delving into personal matters not quite relating to her... Although she had a somewhat serious look on her face, her eyes betrayed her curiosity.
Tsu was a doctor, and part of the Lab. It would make sense for the two of them to know each other...but Natsuki seemed to be implying a little more than just friendship.
And who was Julian? It seemed he was part of the Lab as well, but she could only leave his appearance up to her imagination. And Natsuki had said "complicated." An amusing thought popped into Jae's head, as she thought of dozens of possible scenarios from all the dramas she had watched. But they were all wonky.
Frowning slightly, she wanted to ask a somewhat serious question. "Ms. Natsuki.....when you say complicated, do you mean like.....falling in love with long-lost twin brothers while hiding a terminal illness complicated, or are we talking a more normal level of complicated??" But she shoke the thought from her head. It would probably be better to hear things from Natsuki herself. Besides, those kinds of things only happened in dramas, right?

[Entrance- Shadow Chateau?]
Namini broke out into a flustered smile as the cape was offer to her, but shook her head lightly.
"I just..Stupid impulses. I bought this though..I know that.." she removed her arms hesitantly, her eyes glancing to the side in embarrassment. "..I get really embarrassed about my body so..yeah.. Actually..I get easily embarrassed about a lot of stu--" Namini couldn't help but emit a bird-worthy cheep as she felt someone brush beside her.
Wait.. She remembered that face. As she tried to pinpoint where she had seen the boy before, Namini remained unaware of how quickly her cheeks were reddening at the mere presence of the newcomer. Oh goodness! By the time her cheeks were screaming an unmatched scarlet, her mind had finally revealed the boy's identity: The one from the summer festival who Namini had accidentally repeatedly attacked with her umbrella.. Oops.
"H..hello.."

"Ah, I see...don't worry, I'm the same way! For example, how many times have you seen me blush since you've met?" Zanen grinned.
The other teen's sudden squeak alerted her that another person was entering in her line of vision--a boy this time. Judging by Namini's blush and the new boy's guarded look, they had already met each other before.
"Hello..." Zanen said, tilting her head to observe the newcomer.
So he was supposed to be a gypsy...Zanen gave a barely supressed giggle as she realized the boy was sporting a corset--and a mini skirt!

At the sight of another octopussy, Natsuki thought it was prime time to give her shoulders a rest, and Mitya a chance to associate with his own kind. "Check it out, Mitya, looks like you have a playmate," Natsuki said, giving the catopus a nuzzle as she started untangling herself from the eight legs wrapped around her. How Mouse simply walked around with Mitya wrapped up tightly around her, was beyond the cafe manager. Give her an 18 hour day on her feet in heels, and she'll do the whole the running. Give her a chimera on her shoulders, and she's knackered within no time. With a last scratch behind the ears, Natsuki set Mitya on the floor before the girls set out.
"Eeep! Sorry about the wig, chick-a-dee!" Natsuki giggled, pushing her braid off her shoulder, proving Parfait with a suitable place to land. With Alex and Jae in tow, it was high time for some long over due girl talk. She looped her arms through, one with Alex's gwee free arm, and the other with Jae's. As they huddled close and walked together, Natsuki couldn't help but feel a grand total of fourteen years old. Nodding appreciatively at Alex's advice, she replied "Would you believe me if I admitted to having self-esteem issues?"
"Dr. Tsu is the brother of Dr. Kyou, the man responsible for the Lab. I met Dr. Tsu at the Durem Festival a while back, and he later visited me at work for dessert and some sweet talk. My word, you would not believe the tension, and dare I say chemistry," Natsuki said, vainly trying to fan the flush from her cheeks. Yes, she had met the doctor on several occassions, but unlike most men, he could wind her up tighter than a brand new bed spring. He didn't have the clean cut, youthful gleam that Kyou had, but more importantly, a rugged realism that really caught her attention. Of course, the pirate garb selected for the evening, only enhanced Tsu's rugged charm.
"Julian on the other hand, isn't made-for-TV-movie complicated. I simply have zero idea what he is thinking," Natsuki confessed in a small voice to the girls. Her gray eyes cautiously scanned the area to ensure they were alone. With her luck, Julian would pop out of some shaded corner, and he'd end up swallowing her leg, clear to the kneecap. Not that she didn't mind the several kisses they shared once they were out of sight at the charity event, but she simply had no idea where they were going: if anywhere at all. "The man has more hairpin turns than the Monte Carlo 500. It's seductive but equally maddening at the same time."

The catwoman munched quietly, a caramel apple in one hand, the other mindlessly twirling her tail in a slow circular motion. Boredom and loneliness began to close in as Ebony’s semi anti-social nature kept her from actually initiating a conversation with someone brand new. It was different when she knew the person, it was different when the circumstances demanded for an interaction, and it was different when another was the one to speak to her first. Taking another bite from her sweet, Ebony began to mentally talk herself into getting back into her cat character so as to actually move forward and talk with someone else. Those silvery pools glew dimly in the shadows of the kitchen as she stalked out her next prey, yet…whom would it be?

Josh was caught off guard by Namini’s avian-esque clamor and steadily reddening visage. His mouth hung open in a half gawk at the discomfited girl. The boy swore that if her face grew any more intense than: 1) Her head would burst open in quite a messy display of grey matter or 2) She would detonate into a fit of insane rage aimed at him. Either way it involved a unpleasant scene to ensue. Contrary, all Josh receive from the fretting Namini was a startled twitter of a greeting. “I hope you are doing well… Namini wasn‘t it?”
He paused and chanced a glance at the other girl whom was clad in a flowing black dress and faux congealing blood. She seemed to have spotted Josh's azure lace up mini skirt and was tittering in amusement. The boy's face lit up in a gentle blush which was easily hidden by the obscuring red dots painted on his face. “And I do believe that I haven‘t met you before,” He chimed allowing the vampiress into the exchange of greetings.

Alice, at a loss for what to do now, suddenly laid eyes on the cat-lady whom he had very nearly run over earlier. He grinned brightly, good cheer restored, and took the three steps to meet her. "Hallo," he said affably, nodding his head. "Sorry about the near-miss earlier."

Alex took a moment to make Munchies comfortable, cradling the Gwee affectionately as Natsuki took her arm. She hunkered over to the woman, giving an indignant snort to the question, casting her a critical eye as she continued. She allowed her green gaze to snap back up to Tsu at the mention of his relation, rather taken aback. Granted, Alex had never met Dr. Kyou, but she'd seen him twice, and...well...it was like sticking the shoe on the wrong foot; those two being brothers just wasn't fitting comfortably in her mind.
Natsuki's choice of words and emphasis earned her another cursory glance from the Italian, looking between the woman and the object of her affection with a slightly less unsavory attitude. "If he's the one to put the icing on your cake, then I wont ever mention that other guy again." She smiled a bit teasingly, not in the least bit caring about the innuendos. It was all girl talk, when wasn't there implications to such things? "So long as he doesn't leave you gasping for more - in public - I'll be nice."
She turned her cool gaze back onto Tsu, deciding she wouldn't be quite so hard on him. Not yet.

((GWEEZILLA! by Aphi and Roux)) Afraid the hat was going to whap him, Sevilin floated back as the poisonous Frei made a sweeping bow before him. He nodded numbly as Rivener talked, everything going right of his little head. "Oh..." He finally concluded. He reminded the sea dragon of those noblemen in the nineteenth century like Mr. Rochester or Byron. Except those were all romances and he wasn't a girl. Weird. Frowning slightly at Rivener, his confusion only worsening, he looked to Roux who had a more simple answer.
"Ohh an angel! I like angels! They are always very pretty," He nodded repeatedly, smiling brightly at Roux. "Are there any other uhmm Raevans here...?" His words began to tail off as he looked around the room dimly lit and crawling with fake spiders and cobwebs. Sevilin shivered. "This place is sooo creepy. I never really liked Halloween..."

Nodding at her name, Namini felt her blush continue to simmer, though that's when she also noticed Josh's...um.. attractive attire. Disguised as a gypsy, he possessed red painted cheeks, a series of blues in throughout his skirt and corset-like top, and a seemingly cheap crystal ball. Namini couldn't help but suppress a giggle as she motioned her hand at her other friend,
"This is.." she stopped, her face reading her empty mind. "What..what was your name again?" she asked the other girl bashfully, hoping that she hadn't already forgotten someone's name.
"And..and..yours was Josh right?" Namini chirped at the boy.

And it seemed her prayers were answered, that was if she even prayed to any gods to begin. She wouldn’t have to leave her comfort zone just yet as her mysterious ‘gangster’ had reappeared. Pressing a couple of fingers to her lips as she chewed and swallowed quickly, Ebony managed a small smile before replying in her English drawl, “Ello. Having fun are we? Oh, don’t worry about that. It was just as much my fault. I’m not use to being around such small quarters with so many people. My name’s Ebony by the way. Ebony Shade.”

......................Dr. Kyou had a brother?! That was news! But from the what Natsuki said, it sounded like a lovely romance was blossoming between the two of them. But Julian on the other hand....well, it was difficult for her to really make much of the situation, seeing as she hadn't met either of these men!
Looking at the tank, she caught on that the pirate there was either Tsu or Julian. She thought about what Natsuki had said about Julian. Something about "hairpin turns", which implied (to Jae anyways) that the man might have a somewhat neater appearance. So the man at the tank was Tsu!
At the moment though, she felt somewhat obligated to say something witty. This is what she came up with: "Oh oh! Why don't we go and say hi?!"
Very witty indeed.

"Alistair Greenwitch." He smiled. "But people usually call me Alice." It sounded like a silly line when he phrased it that way. Idly he wondered if Ebony Shade was her real name. It had a lovely ring to it, but what were the odds? Maybe her parents were just clever- rather unlike his own.
"You get used to it," He laughed about the close quarters comment. "If you don't lose your mind first. Enjoying yourself, though, I take it?"

Zanen nodded at the gypsy boy--Josh, Namini called him, "No, I don't believe you have met me. That is--quite an interesting choice of garments, you know." She suddenly noticed that she had caused him to blush at her poorly concealed giggle, and immediately, her cheeks colored with a faint rosy hue.
"Umm...that is--I didn't make to make you uncomfortable or laugh at your costume. Forgive me." Her gaze dropped to the floor and she pretended to be busily admiring Namini's shoes.
Namini's question started Zanen as she realized that though Namini had introduced herself, she'd never given her new friend her own name! Zanen was now quite aware of the raging heat emanating from her two cheeks, and she wondered what color they were now. Certainly not a delicate rose anymore...
"Oh, I'm sorry! I never introduced myself, did I? I really don't know what's gotten into me today!" the "vampiress" wrung her hands anxiously.
"I'm Zanen!" she added hurriedly.

If she had been able to hear his thoughts then, she’d have contradicted him right then as to the origins of her name as it was merely circumstance that it came to be what it was. She wouldn’t be able to tell him nor anyone for that matter whether her parents were clever at all because she never knew them. Orphaned at a rather young age, all she had that she could truly lay claim as her own was her name, Ebony. The Shade surname would only be attached to it a few years later when she was adopted. But of course…Ebony would have never gone into such detail about her past, especially not to a complete stranger.
She was good at hiding much of her emotions, but Ebony couldn’t much hide her bemused look when he’d mentioned his nickname. ”Alice? A bit girly don’t you think? I’d much rather call you Alastair if you don’t mind? It has such a strong, masculine premise to it.” She pretty much purred that last part, her cat character slipping in once more. Then in answer to his question, ”More or less I am. I’m afraid I don’t know many here as of yet.”
