Hale glares at Dread for a moment, then turns his eyes to Robert, perhaps seriously considering whether to take them both on for a moment, but then sighs through his nose and lowers, but doesn't sheathe his axe.
I 'ate 'agic!!!
And then goes back to mumbling furious curses, occasionally glancing towards Dread with a glint in his eye. It is beginning to look like Hale is getting one of his trademark grudges, and is unlikely to give it up soon, although the way that he didn't chop Dread to tiny pieces when Robert told him not to shows a measure of respect for Robert that he usually doesn't show for mages.

Shaking with contained rage, Hales fingers tighten around the shaft of his axe, then let's out a stream of curse-words, the effect much lessened by the fact he can't open his mouth.

Robert, you are surprised to see that it is the spell Open/Close, a VERY minor spell. Yes, Open/Close, weren't expecting that were you!?

With his mouth once again in operating order, Hale takes a deep breath and calms visibly
Ah, that is better. Now. If anyone is ever trying that magic thing on Hale again, Hale will be cutting off their head and relieving himself down their neck.
With that, Hale grins, and leans on the wall looking pleased.
So, that little Kobold is taking a long time, yes? Maybe he is being killed. Aw. Hale was beginning to like the little man. Should we be going to start the looking for him?

Robert wouldn't really have minded if the lizard was dead, but after thinking about it, Robert decided it would be best to see if he still was amoung the living. He could, after all, serve as cannonfoder for him. Or do other minail tasks that kobalds were ment to do.
"You know Hale, if you wish to speak with him, all you have to do is on that ring our caster friend was kind enough to give us." Robert said, pulling is robes closer to himself. The maze was drafty and Robert hated the cold. "It will allow you to communicate with the liz- with the kobald with your thoughts, without having to speak."

((Darstrixen is looking at the door right now, confident that everyone else knows his position because of what he said into the ring. However, he'll be returning now for reinforcements. He wouldn't want to blow the door off its hinges without reinforcements to kill what lurks behind it.))
Darastrixen takes careful note of anything important by the door. He flys back the way he came with greater speed than when he came. He is quite sure that nothing dangerous inhabits this section of hallway, or he would definately have seen it. He allows his wings to make as much noise as is confortable again.
The cold air whisks over him as he makes the final turn around the corner and sees the companions in front of him.
I still don't like that wizardy one. Nor do I like the ring-giver so much, but firepower is firepower I suppose. Just because they are of lesser strength than myself does not make them any less important.
Darastrixen allows himself a smirk
And some of them are even nice to be around. It's been so long since I've been able to fall back on reliable help.
Darastrixen's voice comes out of the air where the sound of wingbeats can be easily heard a descent ways above the group.
The hallway to the left is free of monsters, humaniods, or (as best I can make out) traps. It ends in a doorway about three turns in, but I figured I should come back for the rest of you before moving on.

Hearing the sound of the Kobolds wings, Hale turns his head upwards.
Ah, so you are not being dead, little Kobold? Were you finding anything interesting? Hale is very much wanting to kill things now.

With that, Hale walks out of the door happily, musing his thoughts aloud as he usually does, his voice fading as he continues to walk away.
Hmm. You know, Hale once heard that Dragons were being a kind of lizard. But he also heard that kobolds are being a kind of lizard. They are being distant cousins maybe? In any case, Hale would certainly be surprised to see a Kobold breathe fire, yes-no?
