Sighing, Notsu retorted," I'm only helping him to further my own goals: First, Find a large rock to throw at Amairis. Second, smack her around a bit until she comes back to her senses. Seriously, you and your cave pool... there, done!" Notsu had successfully cut a circular hole around DG. " I had this thing on 'High Beam', so if your sides are singed, that's just a nasty side effect. Personally, I need to turn this off before I burn through my gloves!"
Turning off his sword and putting it away, Notsu grabbed the partially melted cave rock by one edge and remarked to DG," See, I could've just pulled you out of the ground, but where'd the fun be in that?" Thus, Notsu began to pull the cave rock, as well as DG, up. He clearly heard what was left of the rocks attaching it to the ground shatter, since the heat cracked them anyway, but the rock would otherwise not move. Sighing once more, Notsu grabbed DG by the shoulders and asked," How'd you get stuck like this anyway... PULL!" With that, he started prying DG from the rock...

GRAND POWER... Pretty much ignoring Notsu's command and going straight to the pool where this "Pool Girl" was, DG sharply explained, "It's kinda hard with a rock between your feet and your a** when you need to go at a pretty slight angle to get up, and if you could've just did that, why the hell did you do that circle thing?" When DG got next to the pool, he drew one of his swords and stabbed the pool repeatedly. "She's dead now Amairis, now let's fight!" DG drew his other sword and prepared to defend against her.

Amairis gaped at the steaming water in horror, afte a few minutes turning her stricken gaze to DG.
"You......you monster..."
Her eyes hardened, and for a while she looked like her intent was simply to bore a hole through his forehead with her glare. But after a few long moments of inaction, she dashed and slid between his legs, which is is where she aimed a swift, hard kick up.

Notsu would've laughed at DG's reaction to being freed. He would've laughed at DG stabbing the alleged 'Pool Girl'. He would've laughed at the reaction DG got from Amairis' after stabbing said Pool Girl. He would've, if he hadn't also seen the anger and hurt in her expression. She actually did seem to care about this 'Pool Girl'. And... well, it was the most anger Notsu had ever seen in Amairis...
Notsu would've gone and helped beat the consciousness out of DG with Amairis... IF he hadn't also seen where Amairis was going to kick DG. Yeah, Notsu was laughing now...

Amairis's speed seemed to have had about doubled since he splashed his sword around meaninglessly in the pool. Her kick more than just landed in her targeted area, but DG also passed out as his "little friends" just went in him about two inches. He fell onto the same puddle where he splashed his sword in. DG may have had miscalculated his plan by not taking her speed into account.

Amairis' eyes glinted with wild satisfaction as her love's murderer crumpled to the ground. Rising to her feet, she moved forward as though to deliver a few extra kicks to his side...and then paused. She turned slowly away from DG and let her eyes settle on Notsu.
He was laughing.
Her fair love was dead, and he was mocking her with his laughter. The scumbucket...
"How....how dare you?" she hissed, unsheathing her claws. Not waiting for an explanation or reply, she let out an enraged yowl and dove at him. Clearly her aim was to claw out his eyes.
