The guards nod and again the whip flies to lash at the two guys backs, while the other shoves the hot poker up their rears. The guys yell and scream anew.

Lyoko rubbed her temples tiredly and waved for them to stop. "How about now? Ready to spill your guts? If you're not I'm sure one of these guys would be happy to do it for you." She pointed to the guards' swords.

The two guards stopped at her commands, the one with the whip emphasized Lyoko's remark by placing his hand on the hilt of his sword. However it was the older man that spoke up "Enough, I'll talk, just please, spare them." One of the now bleeding younger men said "Elder....no....we can't tell them..." The elder looked to the one that spoke and said "You shouldn't have to suffer anymore then you already have." The elder then looks to Lyoko and says "If I tell what you seek, will you tell your master to pleaase spare these four and the other villagers, if need ber I'll stand as a symbol for those that dare to oppose Lord Ryu Kage." All the others say at once "Elder no you can't."

The Elder was about to speak when the other four went into a very loud series of complaints, protests, and colorful insults.

She motioned for the guads go gagg all four of them. She rubbed her temples again in frustrations and tried to calm down.

the Guards gaged the others. Once their were quieted, the Elder continued, solomnly listing off, size of forces, weapons stock piles, various plans of attacks, and so on.

"All right, I'll talk to Ryu about your release." She left the building and sat down on flat rock in the garden.

The two torture guard leave their tools behind and stand guard by either side or the door to the interrogation building, the third returning to whatever duty he has.

Lyoko crossed her legs and clsoed her eyes, calming donw and beginning to meditate until Ryu came back.

Ryu would return sometime later, mildly irritated, muttering about a pesky overgrown spider. He sees Lyoko and makes a concious effort to calm down before approaching her "So, did you find anything in your search?"

"Nothing that you didn't all ready know, except that their numbers are a lot more then you think. Also, they managed to horde more weapons from different towns, so there's anough to supply every man three times over."

Rubs his chin as he considers this, a faint smile coming to his face "this may yet prove to be more than a typical revolt that I'd first expected." he looks to Lyoko and smiles more "good work, I'm going to call a war council meeting shortly, I want you there to share what all you learned."

"Do I have to? You heard what I just told you and it wouldn't be that hard to repeat. I don't like the thought of people staring at me, expecting that I know exactly what I'm talking about." She looked up at him blankly as she spoke. The thought of a group of people watching her made her shiver.

Ryu looked to her with a smirk "consider it a test of your value to me, who knows, you may find yourself with an actual position of authority here." With that said he turns and heads into the palace.
