Romeo ran around the streets with Melody on his back. She asked around to see if anyone had seen either Hero or Kittie. She gave them brief descriptions but none of them had seen them until they stumbled upon a drunk man. He nodded his head and pointed towards the building. Romeo had caught some scent of Hero's but a very faint one, there were many people in this town and many different scents which mixed together making it hard to distinguish between them. Romeo walked around the parking lot of the building until Melody's eye caught a tail and twitching ears. "Hero?" She asked excitedly.

He looked at her and sat down on the side of the curb, but not for long before a raging red truck with flashing lights nearly ran him over. Hero jumped back as people ran out and pulled a stretcher through the doors. He sighed and went to sit on top of a giant cylinder pillar near the entrance.

Melody looked down at Romeo who shook his head. He walked over to the giant pillar where Melody looked up at Hero. "What happened?"

Melody got off Romeo's back and sat on the ground with her arms folded. "I knew I should have stayed." Romeo lowered his ears to the comment and laid down.

"It was for your own good to leave. You could've been hurt as well."

Melody sighed and looked around at the new place where they were. It was so much different from their home.
Inside the hospital Kittie was being treated but the doctors where begin to think that they would lose her. One of the nurses stepped out of the hospital and looked around to see if the boy who had brought her was still around.
"Is anyone there?" the nurse asked. She had not seen Romeo nor Melody sitting by the pillar.
