Garreth wasn't the type who would come out and say something's wrong. He'd just keep it in and smile. Mari had finished dinner and yelled for them to come inside. Cyan had jumped up from the couch and ran in, taking his seat. "Wow. Looks like someone's hungry." She let out a laugh and started serving him a piece of lasagna since he got there first. Cyan smiled wide and picked up his fork, waiting to dig in. "Uh huh!"

raine also ran in and sat on her chair, sniffing the air. "mmm... i just love that smell"

Mari laughed and served her some of the food, smiling. "I'm glad you do. Where's your father and Garreth?" Cyan looked up at her. "Garreth's outside and daddy's in the living room." Mari shouted in to him. "Matt! Go get Garreth, please!"

he was already heading outside and walked over to garreth and looked up at him. "hey buds. supper's ready."

He looked down at him and gave a small sigh as he jumped from the branch, landing infront of him. He seemed a bit upset, but didn't say anything.

he could tell something was bothering him and knew that now was the time for a father-son chat. he put his hand on his shoulder and looked at him. "is something wrong? you don't seem very happy today."

He looked up at him and thought of how to ask his question. He didn't really know how, so he looked away a bit as if in thought.

he figured this question would come evetually. he just smiled and bent down so that he could talk to him at his level. "the reason why your different from raine or cyan is that your mother is half angel demon. her traits where passed on to you."

He didn't seem to like this answer and just glared a bit. His voice even got a bit louder. "But it's not fair! Mama can be normal! Why can't I? I hate going into town and people looking at me funny! It's not fair!"

he puts his hands on his shoulders and kept smiling at him. "i know it's not fair. people only give those looks because they don't understand but you must remember that while they may think your different, you can do things way above what they are capable of. be proud of who you are. you'll always be my son and i'll always love you.

He was still angry and didn't fully understand what he met. He just kept talking. "Why can't I look like you or mama, though? Raine and Cyan can... I just think you guys like them more than me sometimes... I don't fit! You and mama said a lot when Cyan was born and you both just kept saying how much he looks like mama. I was little when Raine was born, but you probably said the same. What did you say when I was born? You couldn't say I looked like either one of you..."

he kept smileing and looked him in the eye. "when you was born my exact words were 'we truly have a specail boy'. you're specail because you resemble the both of us. you have my face and hair and your mother's wings. and i'll tell you right now that we do not like raine and cyan more than you." he hugged him and held him tightly. "i love you kids more than anything and there's nothing in this world that will change that and your mother would say the exact same thing"
