Star remained silent and tense, not looking up even as she listened to Kiah, only reacting when she heard Darren call her and felt the tug on her sleeve, her expression softening slightly. She reached up with one gloved hand, wiping a bit of the blood from his face before sighing and getting to her feet, her anger starting to evaporate.
"There's no need to apologize so long as there's no permanent damage," She said tersely, looking over her shoulder at Aka, "I thank you for your help, and I apologize for my outburst. It was uncalled for, I shouldn't have let my anger get the better of me."

He stood up from his chair and slowly took unscrewed the cap from his flask as his gaze drifted toward Sil. She was one of the only women in the Order that always seemed to be around when he was and yet..he barely knew anything about her.
He took a sip and let the ice cold Russian liquor slid down his throat before he took another and closed it back again. He made his way over to her but instead of stopping and engaging conversation there, he passed behind her and blew a chilled breath across her neck accompanied by a whisper that he knew only she would be able to hear.
"Come with me.."
He smirked a little as he continued to the kitchen.

Timothy's expression only snapped out of his sneer to a frantic state when he heard a familiar
voice calling for him. Quickly he stumbled back from the group before looking at
Chaoe a bit sadly. "I'll come find you later, Chaoe. F-feel better, 'kay?" The sad
smile quickly faded before he blazed off on his blades. Not moments after he
left, a young woman ran past the door after him, yelling at him.

Sil had been tucked up into a chair, legs tossed over the edge of the arm as she relaxed a little that evening. It was always pleasant to utilize downtime especially in favor of a book, and this evening she was flipping through the familiar pages of an old literary friend that she hadn't read through in some years. Honestly as people moved in and out of the room she hadn't noticed other than the occasional hello when they greeted or said goodbye to her.
As Domo passed her by, the hairs on her neck stood on end from the sudden chill of the breath, goosebumps spreading down to her arms. It was an interesting feeling to say the least and she made a slightly peturbed but amused face, closing her book and abandoning it to follow after the mysterious young man. Domo, as far as she knew, was some sort of mystical being that she couldn't even begin to understand, and far more importantly a great drinking buddy. The two of them hadn't spent much time together over the last few years as life altered itself, so she wondered what the sudden attention was warranted from.
"How do you do that? It felt like you ran an icicle on my neck," she said in a teasing greeting as she eased into the kitchen after him, she tilted her head slightly. "What's up, Domo? Long time no see."

Kiah relaxed and took a step back, nodding in Star's direction and walking over to check on Chaoe and Aka. She ruffled Timothy's hair on the way to get him to calm down, seeing the sneer still on his face. "You won't need to do any fighting tonight, mister."
Striding up to the couple, Kiah whacked the back of Aka's head, not putting too much force behind it just in case he would drop Chaoe. "What do you mean, you don't belong? If we didn't want you here, we would've kicked you out a long time ago, so don't you dare think you don't belong here," she snapped, putting her hands on her hips and glaring at him. "You got that, kid?"
She turned her sights on Chaoe, face instantly showing her concern for the girl. "Chaoe, are you alright...?"
Kiah waved to Timothy, laughing uncomfortably at his chaser. "Goodbye Timothy... Good luck Emilia... Haha..."

Chaoe looked up from where she was and smiled weakly at Timothy nodding an okay. (She'll probably be resting in the room she shared with Kanda, oh dear emotion_awesome )
Aka watched the two interact with curiosity before he smiled at Star and nodded, suddenly grinning like the wild Australian he is. "It's fine, perfectly fine. We all have our moments and it only shows me that you're the right choice to be looking after Darren." He laughed, "In any case-" He turned to Kiah and helf out the hat with the rose in it. "For you madame, a rarety straight from the closet in the deepest corners of enemy lines." He smiled charmingly before getting smacked upside the head. "M-miss Kiah-" He sputtered, face heating up. He never had someone say that to him before...he stared at her in slight shock, the tophat on his head almost falling off.
Chaoe looked at Kiah shyly before nodding, holding up two fingers to form the sign of victory. "V."

He chuckled and ran a hand through his silvery hair, agitating the frost on it and allowing it to flow freely for a bit.
"I work in very mysterious ways," He paused to shake the moisture from his hand,
"I've been quite alright, and how about yourself? It feels like it's been years since we've had any one on one time!"
He leaned back against a stove and crossed his legs while he fumbled around for his flask. He unscrewed the cap much faster than the last time and took a swig before offering it to her with a slightly questioning look on his face.

"If you think I'm the right choice to look after a kid you must have more than a few screws loose," Star said with a smirk, before turning starting to walk towards the door, glancing back at Darren over her shoulder, "C'mon brat,that's enough excitement for one day. Let's get you cleaned up."

"I think that's because it has been years," Sil said ruefully, her features scrunching into a wince as if realizing the truth had been a little painful. She watched the hand movement with acute curiosity, watching as the icy strands freed themselves. "And you are very mysterious... I would love an in depth explanation of these mysteries sometime... or even a vague sentence that at least starts to embody some sort of sense as to why your liquor is always cold as well." Her grin was teasing.
As he offered the flask, she hesitated for a moment. Over the last few months she had been drinking far less, maybe because of Cross having less of an influence on her, or perhaps because she didn't have time for the escape. However, she took the flask and tipped it up in a cheer with a nostalgic smile on her face, taking a swig of the searing liquid that slithered down her throat like liquid fire. "I've been alright," she finally answered with her voice strained, adjusting to the liquors strong properties. "Oh you know... Killing Akuma, constantly pissing off the Vatican with my shenanigans via dark magic... Reading... the usual." She smiled then as if the order of those sentences were completely normal, then moved over to hop onto the counter so she could sit next to the young man.

Kiah took the hat in slight shock, not really knowing what she was supposed to do with it. "It's... for me?" She examined the tophat carefully, deciding that it must be very expensive. "Wait... behind... enemy... lines...? Aka, whose hat is this?" she panicked, nearly dropping right there and then. Smiling softly at the boy, she tipped his hat back into place and pat his back reassuringly, showing that she meant every word of it. "I thought I told you to call me Kiah."
"I'm glad... we should probably get you back to your room so you can rest... We'll have to talk about what happened, but it'll be much later, okay?" she asked Chaoe, worried that she might get agitated because of her words.
"Goodbye Star, Darren," Kiah waved them off, still a bit wary of how quick to anger Star was.

He chuckled.
"Well, it certainly sounds like you've been having a lot more fun than I as of late!"
His sentence stung a little as he said it and realized the depressing amount of nothing he'd been doing recently. He pushed it aside as he turned to her earlier question.
"I think a single sentence explanation would leave you a bit more curious than if I'd said nothing at all, so if we're going to do this I'll have to tell you the long version. What do you say, are you down for story time?"
As he had been talking he hadn't been looking at her, but he turned his head now while he waited for a response. He could feel his eyes drifting a little bit to her more curvy parts but he felt like he was catching himself before it was noticeable. He let out a long breath and watched the vapors disappear as the cold from his lungs hit the warm surrounding air.

Aka laughed, "Alright..Kiah." He waved a hand, "The Earl's, but he's got a ton so what if he misses a couple...hundred." He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "It's kinda become my hobby and there hasn't been much of a hysterical announcement at their base of operations so.." He shrugged.

Chaoe nodded and closed her eyes, suddenly fairly tired from her outburst. She fell asleep in Aka's arms.

Sil would have missed the gaze if it had been obvious leering, really, unless some sort of comment had accompanied it. As far as dress went she was the kind of woman to go for comfort rather than flattery, though this evening she straddled the line of both in form fitting black tank top and equally flattering tights tucked into boots from earlier training.
She leaned her head back and laughed at his question. "Domo, I am always game for story time seeing as I am inherently nocturnal and no one is ever up this late. Do you drink coffee? ... Can you drink coffee?" She tilted her head a little to regard him with warm brown eyes, wondering if he was anything like what Eira had been; a snow creature that might as well have been allergic to heat sources. "I can make us some to sweeten up with some peppermint schnapps while you finally ease my nosiness about you."
