Chaoe opened and closed her mouth a few times before looking at the floor, hugging Cerberus tightly. "I was...going to train for a bit..sorry for interupting your conversation Yu-nii."
EDIT
Chaoe blinked, suddenly confused at Kiah's statement. "Hide..and..seek?" She frowned a bit, "What's that?"

Timothy was grateful for Kiah's support as he nodded in agreement.
"Chaoe!" Timothy's face seemed to brighten up like the sun after a storm,
relieved that he wasn't feeling the piercing stare of Kanda's eyes. Quickly he
rolled over to the girl as well leaning over asking the question nearly at the
same time as Kiah. "Are you alright...?"
Edit:
Blinking he was surprised the girl didn't know what Hide 'n Seek was. "You
don't know that game?" His voice was inquisitive and not at all condescending.
With a smile he continued "It's a fun game. I'll teach you if ya want!"
He knew that game like the back of his hand. He was a self-proclaimed Pro
at it, having found all the wonderful places to hide to avoid his schooling. "I
can show you where all the nifty spots to hide are! No one will find you!"

He sighed a little and gave the top of her head a single pat.
"It's fine. Don't apologize."
He turned to Kiah. He of all people knew they didn't get time to play or time to grow up normally.
"I know they don't."

She nodded and wiped at an eye, that face-smack to the floor kinda hurt..
She looked up at Kanda and smiled shly, she missed this. She really did.
Blinking, she looked at Timothy. "Really? Would you really?" Her eyes sparkled in excitement. Another fun game! "It sounds exciting, but...what're the rules? What's the mission of the game? Hiding can't possibly be all you do." She frowned a bit in thought.

"You... don't know what hide and seek is, Chaoe...?" Kiah asked in shock, wondering just how little those kids knew about childrens' games. She walked back over and started cleaning up her makeshift shooting range, not wanting to practice if the two kids would be playing in the room. "I'm sure Timothy is a master at this game, so you better get ready for a challenge, Chaoe!"
Kiah flinched a bit at Kanda's words, finding it hard to remember that he never had a decent childhood. She was grateful that she'd had a chance to experience all of the things a kid should before it all went downhill. "Though I bet I could beat you all at that game."

Kanda remained quiet, watching the youngsters as he moved to help Kiah clear up her targets.

Timothy's eyes twinkles a bit as he explained the objective of the game. "Well
the seeker counts to 50, and the hider goes and finds a spot to hide! The
objective is to get back to base without being caught by the seeker! It's almost
like being a Ninja!"
With the word 'ninja', the boy made a Kung-fu looking move, standing on one
foot, crouched with hands in the air. The wheels on his blades didn't like this
offset balance and he stumbled backwards, loud clacks of the wheels echoing
through the room before his bottom found the ground.
"O-Ouch" He flushed a but at his clumsiness and scratched the back of his
head, laughing it off.
Timothy's attention turned to Kiah. "Nu-uh! I'm the best in the Order!" His
thumb found it's place tapping against his chest in confidence.

She nodded through the explination, getting the point though not really understanding it.
When he fell her eyes widened and she stood there, turning away with her bangs over her eyes. After a few seconds her shoulders were shaking like she was crying but then a small noise came through the hand that was covering her mouth.
She couldn't hold it in and nearly doubled over, laughing. Not noticing his declaration of being the best.
She hadn't laughed like this in a while, her eyes were watering.
When she finished she was still giggling a little, wiping the tears from her eyes. "I-i'm sorry but- that was s-so...it was really funny. Sorry Timothy."

"Thanks. I guess I should find a better spot for target practice, huh?" Kiah smiled exasperately at the kids running around the room, folding up the paper targets and heaving one of the wooden boards of her backstop up against the wall.
She couldn't help laughing at Timothy's less than graceful fall to the floor, putting her hand over her mouth to keep her giggles contained. "Oh really? I don't think we've ever tested this, have we? I've been finding the greatest hiding places known to man before you were even born," Kiah stated, sticking her tongue out playfully.
Kiah was surprised when Chaoe nearly fell to the floor in a laughing heap, finding her giggles were contagious. It was nice to see the girl having so much fun.

Positive reinforcement hit the boy. She enjoyed his fails, and he made note of
this. Chaoe's laugh was contagious as he stood up slowly, laughing too. "I-I'm
usually not that clumsy! Okay?"
"S-So don't think I-I can't skate!" His lips were pursed, but curled upwards in a
held-back laugh, before looking back at Kiah. "O-Only because you're older! I-I
bet you your hiding places have been overused. Mine are new! Not even Emilia
can find me!" He returned the gesture playfully as well.

He shrugged a little and watched the kids with a small smile, mostly at how happy Chaoe was.
"I think I'll go to the library now. You'll watch them and play with them?"

"I also have more experience on finding new ones! I don't just use the same ones over and over again," she narrowed her eyes at the boy, still with a grin on her face. Granted, most of those were used for when she needed to be away from people, but what harm could it be to let the kids think she played hide and seek more often than most adults?
Kiah saw the small smile on Kanda's face and nearly beamed in happiness, instead turning her face away from him. "Oh... Yeah, don't worry about us. I'll try to keep them away so they won't disturb you," she nodded, disappointed that he was leaving.

Chaoe smiled and nodded. She still giggled a little before blinking a bit at a statement Timothy made. "Emilia's that pretty lady that teaches you right?" She leaned in close, obviously curious. She hadn't talked to the woman but she knew from what she'd heard that she was strict but very very nice. Which brought up another small problem. She looked at the two adults in the room.
"Why don't I have a tutor like Timothy?" She was honestly confused by this, to be honest the only things she could really read were the fairytales that her father used to read to her. When she was with the order she never had time to learn much of anything..

"No, it's not that-"
When Chaoe turned to them and asked about a tutor, he honestly didn't know what to tell her.
"If you're interested in getting a tutor we can talk to Komui. I'm going to the library now, but we can go see him tomorrow."
He headed out the door, giving Chaoe's head another pat on his way past her.
