Haruko pushes on the door, and it comes open. "Paper said it was open..." There were a few people in there already, people of all races, as anyone sensetivemay percieve, but the place was by no means flooded yet. "The... cure?" Haruko asks from his position, supported almost enitely by Echo.

Echo looked around the room, it smelled strange to her. A few people gave her strange looks, maybe because she looked, and was, completely untouched by the infection. She fixed her gaze on the man who looked to be in charge. He was holding a syringe in one hand, and putting a clip board down on a small table. "Um.. We're here.." she swallowed, this man creeped her out, "he needs the injection.."

The man looks Haruko up and down, "God... he looks like he should be dead..." And he drops the syringe into a biomedical waste bin, before filling another with the cure. " Sit down... I... I reckon I should inject it right into a deep artery instead of a vein on your arm, it can take a few hours to take effect if I just get the arm... and you don't look like you have that long in you" the man's bedside manner left a lot to be desired, but there were more important things than a few bruised feelings on the line here. Haruko sits down, letting go of Echo, and the raincoat is removes. Beneath this he had a Yukata on underneath. The Yukata was openes so that his chest was bared. Haruko's ribs were pressing against his skin, and it was now apparent that he was malnourished, and the needle tip on the syringe was exchanged for a longer, thicker one used in steroid injections for overdose patients. The needle is thrust right into Haruko's chest, and the cure injected.

Echo's feelings for the man instantly evaporates, and she thanked him genuinly. Although she was normally rather squimish when it came to injections, she had taken it quite well, and ignored her urge to vomit. "We're going to take you somewhere, and when we get there, we're going to cram food down your throat until you can't possibly eat another bite." she commented, noticing how skinny he had actually become.

Haruko stands up, the needle still sticking out of him. He pulls the needle out himself, and the hole dribbles one tiny drop of blood trickes down, but congeals before it passes two ribs. The man eyes him a little suspiciously, but not too much, since some of the people he'd injected had closed up almost instantly, or had no observable pulse... Haruko tries to take a breath but doubles over and coughs up a lot of blood and bile and phlegm right onto the floor. His spluttering continues for a few moments, but when he takes his gasping breaths afterwards they were clear. He stands up and wipes his mouth, "It... my lungs... they still hurt and my throat tastes of blood but it already feels... /better/"

Echo smiled at him. "I'm glad." She looked away for a moment and wiped her eyes with her sleeve: She didn't want to cry in front of Haruko, or anyone else. "Well, shall we go then? You can stay at my apartment if you'd like." She said, while putting her cold hands into her pockets.

Haruko smiles at her, and it wasn't just a brave face on things now. He was actuallysmiling at her, "You... probably saved my life... No, you Saved my life, no doubt..." He gulps, in part to get rid of the taste of blood in his mouth, in part out of nervousness, as he takes a step towards her. Her puts his arms around her, "Kimi o ai shiteru... Echo-san" and then he moves in to kiss the vampire. The person who was administering rolls his eyes and puts the syringe into the biomedical waste bin.

Echo grinned, she had no idea what he said, but she really didn't care. She was positively ecstatic that Haruko was already starting to feel better. She hugged Haruko, and kissed him back. "What would you like to do, then?" She asked him a few moments later, after she absorbed the dirty looks she was recieving from various people in the smal room.

Haruko smiles, "Drink, and then eat... or even better both at the same time..." he rubs his throat a little, "Maybe just some soup for me, though... I think it might be a few days before I can handle anything solid..."
