The Protector's eyes widened, narrowed quite a bit, then he tried to cover the suspicious look by closing his eyes. ~..I..see you've been talking to Sephiroth? You'd be wise not to listen to.. anything he's saying. He's not in the right frame of mind right now, it seems..~

~..Lying? Yes, I believe so. Hm.. His demon? Oh, the Kyuugi? No, I'm afraid he's.. gone. I got rid of him, yeah. Kicked him right out. He gave up his elements in order to protect someone. And this thing? It's a bracelet.. for his protection. After it fuses with his body, he'll be able to.. manipulate it. Use it, as a weapon for his, I'm sorry to say, now-fragile body. You see, not having Elements has definately all-around weakened Sephiroth.. He's really nothing without the Elements he once controlled.~

The grin on his face wasn't the Protectors--it wasn't Seph's. It was an evil grin. ~Think, Phairen. Who, out of every penile existance upon this little planet, would Seph sacrifice everything to protect? To save?~

~Very good. Then it wasn't as farfetched as I thought. So.. You knew it, I knew it, who didn't? So, I took advantage of it. It wasn't difficult. As you definately know, the knowledge of a Sensei isn't limited to elemental jutsus, cutting oneself and others from the element entirely. A very useful trick for POW. And, as I learned, a useful trick to weaken the mental and physical defenses of both Sephiroth and the Protector. It was a simple enough task staying under the radar of both as I put my plans into motion. A message in Hwen's handwriting here, a threat on her life from an omniscient enemy that he didn't know there.~ The Kyuugi grinned.

~Isn't it obvious Aurum? I'm a superior Demon. With Sephiroth in a state of depression after losing Hwen, he was very vunerable. It was the perfect time to manipulate him. With a single note, I sent him on his 'quest.' I've been under the Protecter's Radar ever since he and I duked it out inside Seph. His body's been the stage for many battles, and it's worn him down. Sure, Sephiroth realizes his mistake now, but he's far too emotionally drained, and that effects the Protecter as well. The two are bonded in a very peculiar way. So, with Sephiroth bummed, and the Protecter bummed, it was a simple task taking over. I discovered this Bond when Sephiroth finally came to believe that Hwen was, infact, dead. The Protector was actually crying.~

~Actually, I have no intention of controlling Sephiroth. I'm simply doing so to prevent him from doing anything that might conflict with my own interests. Destruction. I want Sephiroth Dead. I want out of this Cage of a Body.~

~You honestly believe that they would -let- me out? I am chained to this body til it's death. It's up to Sephiroth to create the seal that locks me in another's body. If he doesn't, and he dies, then I am free. There is no alternative, Aurum. Do you honestly believe that a Demon such as myself would simply be released to roam free? No, I'm far too dangerous, and the Protector, Phairen, Sephiroth.. Everyone knows it. Do you think that Phairen would just.. let you leave? No, you'd wreak too much havoc, my friend. You had your chance to escape when Sakiyn was away. You saw Nyl. She was in the same state Sephiroth is.~
