He was being difficult, wasn't he? Not intending to lower that hood so she could see his face either. His identity was niggling at the back of her mind and she frowned at his words. He was a customer and one she'd apparently neglected? A flick of her fingers to move a current of air to knock his hood off then cringing. She wasn't supposed to do runes when she was pregnant...but Sevilin wouldn't know about that one teensy tiny one and she needed the answer. The minute the hood fell back, Zahara just felt silly. "Nadai!" Thus giving a grin and launching herself at him in a hug. It had been far too long. "You little sneak!"

Of course he felt her use a rune, he was more in tune with her than usual as was standard when she was indeed pregnant. Though he let it go this time, seeing as she did rein herself in the use of said things. Wasn't too sure if he liked her more or less leaping at...who was that? She knew him...or at least seemed to. And yet he was feeling that streak of possessiveness for her that didn't often, if ever, occur in him.
A slight surprised blink at the puff of wind on his face that made him close his eyes as his hood fell back and a moment later, he was catching himself a very enthusiastic Zahara, shuffling his feet a moment to keep his balance. A laugh from him as well as a pleased grin. "Sneak? I'm no sneak. But you are a very hard woman to track down, I'll tell you that." Returning her hug with a squeeze of his own, he braced his hands on her shoulders and pushed her away some, giving her an up and down look. "You haven't changed a bit, have you?"

She was more preoccupied, first with the unknown elf's presence and subsequent danger potential and then with the knowledge that a dear friend had come to visit, to notice Sevilin was on the porch. "All you had to do was send me a note and I'd have answered immediately or come to see you. I've been a bit preoccupied as of late though. And with half of my team gone on a trip of their own things have been shorthanded. Then again if I was easy you wouldn't have nearly as much fun." Giving him a bemused grin and running her hand through her short hair. "What a silly thing you are. We're elves, Nadai. We don't change lest we get even more attractive and no one can resist us." Chuckling in relaxed fashion and then brushing her skirt. She didn't think it was a good idea to say her breasts felt bigger at all. "What can I do for you?"

She was flirting with him…or at least it looked like she was flirting. If she wasn’t flirting she was at least flattered because she was touching at her hair. Always did that when she was being flattered. Hm, didn’t think he liked this guy. Firstly he wandered onto his property in aloof fashion and anyone who knew Sevilin knew that he valued his privacy and the location of his home and such, very highly. Secondly, that was his wife.
“You never let anyone know where you are, how can I send you a note? Least I send my horse of course, but he’s resting right now. Had himself a leg injury and is recouping.” Thus the walking here as well. “So I had to come track you down and you Zahara Val’Ril, are a hard woman to get a hold of.” Chuckling and shaking his head as she fixed herself up and what not. “Aw you can’t take a compliment? Well how else am I supposed to get in good with you other than make you feel pretty and the like that all women love to be?” Tucking his thumbs in his pockets he shrugged aloofly. “Just wanted a visit and to see if you had anything to help heal that leg any better. I mean I’d use more advanced things we have in Vesendar, but I don’t know if that’s safe for nightmares…and you know if he licks or anything, well I’d rather not risk it.

"Flattery will get you quite far." Giving another chuckle and patting Faete's back. "In the future just send it here with your Nightmare, Nadai." She frowned hearing his horse was hurt and plopped her hands on her hips, still listening. "I've got some medicinal herbs that you can make a poultice out of in the barn and you certainly need to make sure that he stays off that leg. Come along and we'll go look and you can flatter me as we go." Reaching out to take his arm and tug him out of the way of Faete who was getting that gleam in his eyes. "You can suck up to me on the way." Giving him a grin and taking hold of his arm, "How's things?"

"As I said, he's hurt otherwise I would have." Not faultering at her frown though because he knew what it was about and that he wasn't the direct cause of such things thus he wouldn't suffer her wrath on things. "Aw, I don't think flattery will get me too far as you so say. But I can be charming and what not." Escorting her in gentlemanly fashion to the barn then and letting her go through things...though he was keeping a wary eye on Faete. Did not want to get bitten, he knew that much. "Oh they're good...no one's killing anyone and everyone is just fine. Personally my things are all well and good...well, they're kinda stagnant now that I'm out a horse till he heals up."
And disappearing into the barn...part of him told him to walk down the porch and poke his head in there...but the other part reminded him of the little toddling elf inside who couldn't be left alone. Giving a noise of displeasure he turned on his bootheel and headed back into the house to his sons. Time to ponder the situation...he certinaly didn't know that elf.

"Right." She combed through her herb cabinet that was kept in the stables for use with the horses and carried the jars over to the table then began mixing things and making a poultice. Wrapping it in fabric that wouldn't chafe the Nightmare's skin and piss him off more, she handed it to him. "Flattery will get you really far now. I'm pregnant and feeling the need to hear how pretty I am." Heading out of the barn as she was saying this, she shooed Faete off and gave him a grin. "Why don't you come in and have something to eat? It's a long walk back."

He watched over her shoulder but made sure not to crowd her as she did her thing that she did best. Or rather the two things she did best and combined them into one; health and horse care. Taking the item, he stowed it in a belt pouch at his side. "Oh you are, are you? Well in that case, I don't think I've seen a lovelier elf in quite some time. As a bachelor I'm allowed to say such things too without fearing things." Chuckling again and hitching his hands in his pockets once more as he gave a nod. "If I won't be imposing, a bite and such does sound nice. Besides we're not done with business yet, still have to pay you." Gesturing for her to lead onward then.

"You never have anything to fear from me, Nadai." Bending down to pick up a saddle, she stood up and swayed on her feet, bracing herself against the side of the barn. "I'm okay. Just stood up too fast, I think. Would you put this on the workbench?" Handing the saddle over and then taking his arm just to make sure that's all it was. Leading him inside, she scooped her toddling son off the floor as he was walking towards her and headed into the kitchen. "Make yourself comfortable and I'll get you something to drink."
Jumping the remaining stairs, he hit the kitchen and grabbed the bottle of milk from the fridge, uncapping it and tipping it back to drink.
Zahara snatched the bottle, set her son down and popped her older one on top of the head. "Zykariel. We have a guest."
He frowned, cutting his eyes at her then glanced back at the other elf. "Oh. Hey Nadai. What are you doing here?"

Third reason. He was in his house and he still didn't know who this was...despite the fact that his wife, and apparently he son did. Sevilin was sitting at his desk in his training room in the corner, listening to things through the runics he had set up in the house.
A concerned look crossed his face a moment but he did what was asked of him before he let her take his arm, and played support for her as she headed inside with him. He at least kicked the dirt off his boots before he headed into the kitchen with her and took a seat at her urging, nodding with a grin that turned to the young elf that then made an appearance. "Thank you. And Zykariel is it...I haven't seen you in quite a while. Look how big you've gotten. Causing just as much trouble too I suppose." Seeing as he just got popped for manners. "Oh the usual...harrassing your mother and having horse business."

She started into her normal motions of cooking, fluffing Kelligrin's hair as he toddled by. "I think the last time you saw Zykariel he was no bigger than your hip. And this is Kelligrin. Kelligrin, say hello."
The toddler gazed at the other elf with big eyes and clutched his mother's skirt. "Hello."
"Guess you haven't heard my name in racing circles either." He was slightly disappointed about that but plopped down at the table while his mother poured the milk into a glass and handed it to him. "Not everyday we get business." He was watching Nadai closely, sizing up the other man and watching his mother as well. No man got close to her while he was around. "Are you eating with us?"

A grin and a little wave at the little elf as he looked down at him. "Hello Kelligrin, its very nice to meet you." Rolling his eyes somewhat and turning his attention back to Zykariel. "Well of course I've heard your name. I used to race to you know, I may nto anymore but I like to keep up with it. Not much time to go see them in person though." Chuckling, "All the young ones in Vesendar have the unbeatable Zykariel on their minds." Shaking his head lightly, "Um...well she said a drink but she appears to be making food. I suppose I am if she says so."

Handing the toddler two cookies, she whispered to him and sent him on his way then continued mixing batter into a bowl and smoothing it over the vegetables she had in the casserole dish. She chuckled quietly at Nadai's endorsement of Zykariel's ego. "It's lunch time and you know you love my cooking, Nadai." Pouring him a glass of milk as well and handing it to him then putting a plate of cookies on the table. "Don't spoil your lunch but feel free to eat some. Two Zykariel. That's your limit."
He'd been ready to scoop up about half of the plate before his mother spoke and he frowned. "Fine." But turning his attention to Nadai, he gave a grin. "You used to race? I didn't know that." Crunching quietly for a moment. "I'm not unbeatable yet. I still have to win the final race of the Big Four."
Kelligrin toddled through the house to the room that he knew his father was in and reached up on his tippy toes to open it up. "Daddy. I gots cookies!"

"Yes I do love your cooking, the few times that I have had it, it's always sat in my stomach quite nicely and made me want more." Ever the happy go lucky elf. Taking the glass of milk he sipped at it some, quite amused how Zahara was predicting the actions of her children. "Yeah, but it was different then. The horses weren't treated as well and I didn't want to be a part of that, even if I did treat my own well. But you are unbeatable to them...they just say you're having an off day when you don't come in first. And three out of four, sounds like you're on a winning streak. Don't get too cocky now or you'll jinx yourself.
His attention turned to the door and he got up, walking over and opening the door for his youngest, watching the child toddle in before he shut the door once more and picked up the toddler, returning to his seat and setting the child on his lap, taking one cookie with a ruffle of his hair. "Cookies hm?" Breaking his in half and handing half back to his son.

"See, then you'll have as much as you like, Nadai. I always take care of guests." Ensuring everything was set to cook correctly, she took a seat at the table and took a cookie for herself. "Destyny is quite the racehorse. As long as Zykariel continues to keep her trained and running well she'll be one to see in the coming race."
"Cockiness is a surefire way to lose. I've been told that for years." Shaking his head and once again reaching for a cookie while his mother wasn't looking. She'd never know. One look at her and he knew she knew but she was letting it go. "How come you don't race anymore?"
Happy grin to his father before settling in on his lap and taking a bite of his cookie. "Mmhmm. From Mommy." Giving a squeal of delight as he was given another half. "Thank you, Daddy." Finishing the cookies off, he glanced at the papers on the desk. "Story?"
