Kiah noticed that Aka was eating pretty quickly and tried to match his pace, falling a little short. She was surprised by how patient he was as she scooped up the last of her soup, gathering their dishes up and taking them to the kitchen. Walking back toward the boy, she held a hand out with a smile. "What do you want to do now?"

Aka smiled and took her hand. He looked down in thought, "Well...oh! I know!" He looked up with bright eyes, "Let's go to the library and I can tell you some stories! Most of them about Yuuka of course!" He grinned in excitment, "There're a lot because of all the fights she got dragged into or pushed to do at the branch. I swear- boys twice her age she knocked down without a second breath it was amazing!" His eyes sparkled.
"I remember this one boy who pulled a jerkish move- talking trash about her family and they had to drag her off him! Times like that she's a bit scary but it only makes when she's flustered all the more cute." His tail wagged.
"She'd die if Kanda Yu were to ever find out about all the fights, even more so because she's a merciless fighter, but I wish I could see her face if he did. I'm sure it'd be as red as a lobster from embarassment."

"Okay, library it is!" Kiah started skipping off toward their destination, going a bit slower after each sentence in surprise and horror at how often Chaoe seemed to get into fights. "She, ah... must be very strong then...," she coughed, trying to hide her amusement from how starstruck he seemed. "You seem to really, REALLY like Chaoe, Aka..."
Kiah tripped up a little when Kanda was mentioned, quickly recovering and remembering that Chaoe called him "Kanda-nii'. She'd never actually seen the two together, but she could see why that might be embarrassing for her. "Now, now... don't embarrass the girl too much, alright? We'll keep these little secrets from Kanda, got it?"

He nodded, "Yep! Yuuka's almost stronger than Ronin and he's the strongest guy at the branch." His cheeks heated up a little at her comment and he nodded again, "Yeah...Yuuka's my best friend afterall. Although she's too embarassed to say it. We spent most of our time together at the branch, she really hates being alone.." His eyes softened. "I think..she really hates it more than anything else, even Mr. Rolf and the labs. As long as she has someone she's strong. Really strong, much stronger than I could ever be."
He grinned again, "Alright then Sissy, i'll try."
'Try' being the key word, he smirked on the inside.

"Ronin... Has he ever been here, or does he stay in the American Branch?" Kiah had heard Aka talk about some of the other kids there, but she'd never met any of them but him and Chaoe. She frowned sadly as they walked into the library, knowing the feeling. "Everyone is stronger as long as they have someone... And I'm sure you could be just as strong as she is. Maybe even stronger, should she ever need you to help her."
She gave him a look of disbelief at his mischievious grin, causing her eyes to narrow warningly. "Yes you will, mister... Or else I'll find you and lick your nose!" she exclaimed, remembering her grandmother's worst threat when she was little.

"Mn, Ronin goes on missions but he doesn't usually stay away from the branch for long. I don't think he's ever come here though- something about getting seasick or something."
He blinked and smiled slightly, "I'd...like to protect her."
He squeaked and covered his nose.
