Aka laughed as their arms swung and blinked at her question.
He shook his head, "Mr. Rolf said that it was a 'special gift from daddy'. Yuuka and everyone else at the labs know I can. So it's not really a secret but.." He kicked his foot a little, "Mr. Rold warned me that I shouldn't do it here much- says i'll get in trouble." He sighed and looked at the floor.

Kiah scowled at what she was being told. The more she heard about this "Mr. Rolf", the more she wanted to personally go back to the American Branch and smack some sense into the man. "Who exactly... is your dad?" she raised an eyebrow at this, realizing that she didn't know too much about Aka. "Well, it's true that you should be careful... but if it's all in the name of fun or defense, I don't think it would be too terribly bad to use, don't you think?" she pointed out, lifting their arms and spinning him around so he'd lift his head.

He giggled a bit but when asked about his dad he stopped.
"Uhh..." He kicked his foot again nervously, "Dad was...." He shifted a little then shook his head.
"I'm sure the 'daddy' Mr. Rolf is talking about is the strange man in the caged metal room though." He nodded, obviously trying to get away from answering the other question. He really did love his dad but he knew. He knew what his father was and what he'd done- why he was living in Australia. But even so he still treated Aka with such kindness and loved him more than he thought ever possible of a human. He missed him...
Aka started to hum the lullaby again and he fiddled with his hands nervously.

"The one that you almost saw...?" Kiah questioned, remembering what he'd told her about the lab and the room that they weren't allowed in. She wondered exactly who was in there, but was shaken out of her thoughts when she noticed how nervous he seemed. Squeezing his hand gently, she listened to his lullaby, tilting her head a bit in curiosity. "What song is that...?"

He nodded, he was sure it was that man that Rolf meant. So sure..
When Kiah asked what song it was a small, fond smile came to his face.
"Carra Barra Wirra Canna"
He smiled cutely, "It's a lullaby from back home in Australia."

"Carra Barra... Wirra Canna?" she questioned, slightly mispronouncing the name. Kiah twitched, the combination of Aka's cute smile and the adorable song making her want to hug the red headed boy. Instead, she smiled back as they entered the cafeteria, finding it relatively empty. "So you used to live in Australia, huh? That's where Reever is from, too. I've heard it's a very nice place."

He nodded and his tail wagged- looking foreward to the food.
"Mhm. It's a pretty place." He started swinging their arms again- loving the feel of it.
He giggled and suddenly hugged Kiah, snuggling into her side. It'd been so long since he hugged a grownup, he forgot what it felt like and how safe it seemed..

Kiah laughed at his childish antics, letting him swing their arms as long as he wanted. "I'm sure it is! I heard the coral reefs are a must-see." She was obviously never going to gaze upon them with her fear of water, but she was simply trying to figure out more about where he grew up. When Aka suddenly clung to her side, she gasped in surprise, not quite sure what to do. "Um..." After a few seconds she wrapped an arm around his back in a return hug, smile a bit strained. She rubbed his back soothingly- that was what her father used to do, she remembered- before backing away a little, gesturing to the ordering window. "I thought you were hungry, silly?"

Aka looked at the ordering window and nodded at her. "I am."
He grinned and ran over, ordering happily. His tail wagged in excitement for Jerry's cooking.

Kiah walked up next to him, waiting for her turn to order. Once Aka was done, she asked for a cheesy-potato soup and waited until Jerry brought it out, thanking him and heading for the nearest table. "So did you get curry again, or did you try something new?" she asked Aka, smiling at his excitement.

He smiled awkwardly and looked down at his curry.
"I can't help myself- Jerry's curry is the best i've ever eaten. Way better then what we get at the branch."
He stared lovingly at the spicy food, looking forward to eating it.

"Haha, well there's nothing wrong with that! Just remember to eat something a little different once in awhile. You never know what you might like if you never try anything new," she stated, tapping his nose playfully. She was familiar with the bland dishes they had in the North American Branch, so she didn't ask about the food there. Kiah picked out a table and sat down, waiting for Aka to join her before eating. "So have you been having fun here, Aka?"

He laughed and followed her to the table, after sitting down he went straight to eating.
He looked up and nodded, swallowing what was in his mouth before answering. "Mhm! It's exciting here and everyone is so nice. Although.."
He looked down at the curry, looking a little worried. "I haven't seen Yuuka the whole time i've been here."

"Well, I'm glad you like it here," Kiah gave him a happy smile in between bites of her soup, though it soon turned to a frown when he seemed to be worrying about something. "You mean Chaoe? Come to think of it, I haven't seen her around much either..." She let her spoon hover in between her bowl and her mouth, trying to remember the last time she'd seen her. It had been before the incident with her father... and that had been weeks ago. "I'm sure she's been busy training and whatnot...," she stated, trying to convince herself more than him, "But I can check with Komui later, if you're really that worried."

He nodded, "Alright."
Picking up his spoon again he continued eating, mood picking up a bit with every bite.
He finished quickly and drank some water. After that was gone he waited patiently for Kiah to finish.
