Kiah stretched out warily in the woman's baths, on the alert for anyone in the vicinity. Usually she would just use the showers for peace of mind, but since they were broken in a freak accident- caused by Komui, naturally- she was stuck in a state of constant vigilance in case anyone wanted to try and drown her in the shallow water. She tried cleaning up quickly, face a bit pale, even if she knew there was little chance she could die in such a small amount of water.

[[ I'm hopefully going to be collecting health data on a large group of Irish Wolfhounds that we have DNA samples off, to see how often bone cancer occurs in their population. Using the DNA and the information, we'll hopefully be able to try and see if there is an hereditary component and how it's transferred and such. But all we have now mostly is a dog name and a sample number, and of course for any kind of genetics research we need more than that, like mother and father information, whether they actually got the disease or not, etc. Most of our samples come from a German veterinarian, so we're hoping she at least got owner contact details so I can start calling people and ask about their dogs XD
Long story D: But yeah~
On a related note: anyone know how to lock a row or column in its place in Excel, so even if you scroll down or sideways you can still see that row/column? XD

Aka sang happily as he walked down the hall, he smiles fondly at the part of the lullaby he sang. A fond memory from his life in Australia before he came to the Order.
With a small chuckle he took another step and teleported, lost in thought though he didn't concentrate of where he was going and didn't realize what he had done until he felt the wet warmth of the baths around him with a splash.

(( Oh geez... D: That sounds like quite the challenge... especially if the owners don't know much about the parents... How did the veterinarian get the samples? Like, did they take them when they came in for a check up, sickness, etc, or were they actually being tested for the cancer? ))
Kiah was startled enough to let out a small scream when Aka suddenly appeared in her bathwater, quickly putting a hand over her mouth and going a bit deeper in the water to cover up. When she got over the surprise, she flushed a deep red in anger and embarrassment, grabbing a towel from the side and wrapping it around herself. "Aka..... What ARE you doing...?" she questioned warningly, with a look of restrained rage on her face.

Aka's eyes widened in realization. He was in the womans baths.
His face matched his hair in redness from embarassment. "M-miss Kiah! I-I-!"
He stumbled back a bit, closing his eyes tightly, covering them with his hands and turning away. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to teleport in here! Gomen! Gomen! Gomen!"
He ducked under the water. He was so embarassed...!

Kiah kept her glare on him until he turned away, hiking up the towel enough to cover her scars while climbing her way out of the water. She walked to his side of the bath and scowled at him for a second before grabbing his arm with one hand, clutching the towel securely with the other. "Alright, alright, just be more careful next time...," she helped him out quickly, still a little red in the face, "Now come on, you need to get out before anyone else comes in... And DON'T uncover your eyes, mister!" She had no clue that Aka could teleport, but she didn't think now would be a good time to ask about it.

[[ Yeah, it is, but it's something I can do while still doing my normal internship schedule, since it's basically calling a lot of people for the first half XD And the other half'll be a written paper about bone cancer and genetics and stuff, so that's doable too.
Hopefully the owners will at least be able to tell me what breeder the dog came from, for most of them it's already listed, and then I can just contact the breeder to ask about them, so that's lucky.
The German veterinarian is the one who does most of the mandatory screening for heart disease in the Dutch population, so she sees a lot of them, and that's when the samples are taken. So we don't know whether those dogs are still alive (doubtful for a lot of them, since they only get to be like 7 years old, and we've been collecting for that long as well) and whether or not they actually developed bone cancer along the way. It does mean we've got both our test group and our control group already, we just need to sort which dog belongs in which group depending on whether or not they got the disease ~ ]]
Hitching up the towel wrapped tightly around her chest, Michiyo padded her way into the main women's bath area, humming softly to herself. She'd been doing quite a bit of training and now it was time for a reward. The baths here were nowhere near onsen she had been used to, but it came close enough, and she was looking forward to soaking in the warm waters for as long as she could. Turning a corner, she was surprised to find other people there, since most of the residents used the showers, but was glad to see it was Kiah, and a smile appeared, quickly followed by an amused frown as Michiyo noticed the small frame she was guiding along.
"Hello there," she chirped, carefully walking over, making sure she doesn't slip on any stray puddles, "What have we here?"

(( Oh, that's nice, that it's all pretty much all on record. : O You guys have mandatory screening for dogs there? I hope it doesn't take much to figure out which dogs belong in which group! I would feel a little awkward calling random people about their dogs, though... XD ))
Kiah was sighing in exasperation while leading Aka along, hoping that no one would appear and get angry if they saw him. When Michi appeared around the corner toward the baths, she attepted to hide the poor boy, but realized it was useless as the girl had already spotted him. "Oh, hey Michi...," she greeted uncomfortably, deciding not to reveal the teleporting thing, "He got a little... ah... lost, so now I'm taking Aka here back to his own baths." She noticed he hadn't said anything but apologies and hadn't acknowledged Michi yet, so she tried to snap him out of it. "Aka, it's fine. Don't worry about it, Say hi to Michi, alright?"
