*random as hell*
OMFGIH!!! I just got the most wonderfull artbook filled with nothing but yaoi at the animecon!!! It costed me 29 euros (European twit, I am) but it was well worth it ^^ I will show you some of it later on xp
The animecon really was great, I bought me the last Ghost (Eerie Queerie) volume, some great pins and buttons (I even got like one very kawaii Naruto/Sasuke one xd And a Yami/Yuugi one ^^), some brand new markers and..some other s**t sweatdrop
Woow, this post felt very random xd

I just now realized what a nerd I am ^_^
And that's incredibly amusing, considering the rather obvious symptoms...
Symptom 1: I spend every thursday playing Dungeons & Dragons
Symptom 2: I'm in marching band. 'nuff said.
Symptom 3: ...I spend my fridays in a bakery. And nope, I don't work there.
Symptom 4: I'm joining a Star Wars Roleplay that's based off D&D
Symptom 5: My bookshelf is filled with three things: Manga, fiction (most of which have gay main characters wink )and three non-fiction books: Machiavellis The Prince, an encyclopedia, and a book about Druids.
and finally...
Symptom 5: What time I don't spend on these things, I'm either watching anime, playing video games, or on my computer.
Yep...complete nerd here *grin*

After every flight, pilots fill out a form called a gripe sheet, which conveys to the mechanics any problem they had with the airplane during the flight. The mechanics read and correct the problem, and then explain in writing on the lower half of the form what remedial action was taken.
The pilot reviews the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews and engineers lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual maintenance problems submitted by QANTAS pilots and the solutions recorded by maintenance engineers.
By the way, QANTAS is the only major airline that has never had an accident.
(P = The problem logged by the pilot.)
(S = The solution and action taken by the engineer.)
P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.
P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.
P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit.
P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.
P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet-per-minute descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.
P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.
P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.
P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what they're there for.
P: IFF inoperative.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.
P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.
P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
P: Aircraft handles funny.
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.
P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.
P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.
P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget.

Ah, I'm so happy. My parents decided, in honor of my b-day being tomorrow (I'm turning 16) that they'd finally get me a new Processor for my computer. I've been telling them my computer was ancient for ages, but...well, this is what it took for them to realize it. It took a professional expressing shock that anything new even worked on it - including my operating system, windows XP.
My motherboard was so outdated that they couldn't even just buy a new processor - they had to buy a new motherboard too. I really needed a new processor...It was only 447Mgherz processing speed!
Anyway, so they wound up having to get a new processor, a new motherboard, and a new memory chip. All it all, it was four times more expensive then they had planned on...but I'm in too cheerful a mood to be feeling guilty right now. biggrin
