The cabin of the vessel was an impressive room. It had four doors, one in each direction. Tarathiel pointed to a door, and said "In there, in the best bed on the ship, tended by the best surgeon on the plane." the drow elf walked towards the door, "Do remember, this is a ship and I am its captain. If I give you an order, you are to obey it without question. When we are off this ship, what you do is your own business, but here, everyone relies on everyone for survival. Mind you, if and only if I order you, you have to do what I command." Tarathiel emphasised the 'if' in his sentances to show that he did not intend to take command of the dragon. "A curteousy, if you will."

Tanundra again nodded. In a place like this, he did not want to cause trouble. Besides, he had nothing but curteousy to offer the capatian for saving his mistress. No, he could not cause trouble. A moments thought, not unless Tarathiel made him really, really angry. He coudl think of a few things that would do that...

He was rather impressed with the interior of the cabin, it looked much like what the First Oracle would have lived in. Meilikki deserved it. A minotaur was there, and Tanundra assumed this was the surgeon. A nod to him before he bee-lined for Meilikki.

She was sleeping, that much he could tell. And it seemed that she slept peacefully, which he had not seen on her before. She was still awfully pale, and and almost imidiatly he understood what had been done to her. He knelt down, touched a hand to her forehead her cheek. Hot with fever, but it didn't seem to bad.

Meilikki was strong, she would survive.

"From the deep to the ship, she braved it in silence. The horrors she faced I can only imagine, as the one who held her captive, was a Lich." Tarathiel offered in explination of the events.

"My Warhammer has been tending her since we retrived her. Now though, I fear, I must leave you two to discuss whatever. I have business to attend to." Tarathiel bowed, and exited the room.

Warhammer turned his head towards Tanundra, "She rests well, the Earth Mother smiles on her."

Dagger looked into the young woman's eyes, "I want people I can trust to rule the countryside so this kingdom can crawl off its knees and rise as a power to be recogned with. I desire this more than anything else..." She turned her head away, "I am helping you because you seem to have the spirit to do such a thing."

That and no political ties that will have you join factions in an attempt to coup the current government.

He nodded, taking great effort to keep his anger in check. That was why she asn't pre-pare, that was why she was taken form him so abruptly. A Lich....a dead man...the dead had no future to see...

She is rarely smiled on. She has never known sleep like this, but more often than not she cannot afford to lose sight of the future. He dragged a lock of hair from her face with a finger, feeling usless...

I am relieved that it is not one of the wizards who is taking care of her, but one who is in strong favor with Mother. Because hey, she quite literally was his mother.

"Magical cures are not the work of common wizards, it is the blessing of the divine." Warhammer responded. "Besides, all of the wizards are always on duty, spying on all of Tarathiel's enemies and allies. Out of consideration, he did not have her watched, which we now regret." Warhammer told the dragon.

"As we speak, the business Tarathiel attends to is due to his constant spying."

A nod. it is better to be informed. If you must spy to do that. He shrugged. The Oracle's gift was a form of spying, so he was not much against the idea. Perhaps in the future, they would watch Meilikki...just as a precaution.

I would ask what buisness, but I don't ask questions for which I don't expect to recieve an answer.

"I do not believe that the Captain even knows." Warhammer said honestly, "I have turned a blind eye to most of the Captain's actions, as often they are beyond my comprehension. The one being in the multiverse that seems to be void of any rules. His luck has been his best asset since he was born, and has yet to fail him. Many will try to mimic his feats, but none shall succeed." The minotaur moved closer to the Seer, and placed his hand once again on her shoulder, and released the calming curative burst.

"These spells are more for physical wounds, but they are just as good at sudating mental as well... One could become sadate from having them used too frequently, or rest well if they could not other wise."

A little chuckle. A man of his own means. Meilikki must find him interesting then. Those goverened by luck are the hardest to see, are given the most possibilites. He nodded. He would be hard to track, which mean that Meilikki did not always know exactly what would happen. like reading a book.

He watched the spell. He had never used it, never needed too. He drew his strength from the earth itself. He had been working with these woman for so long, and yet he knew very little of their bodies. Another nod. "She is resting very well."

"May I ask you your name?" Warhammer said calmly, feeling Meilikki's pulse. The minotaur seemed pleased with the results, but he was somewhat troubled by events of late.

Tanundra He smiled, remebering how he recieved the name in the first place.

Does something trouble you, minotaur? He thought behaps it had sometihng to do with the pulse he had just felt. Was it too weak? Ah worry...

"The undead have no need for Oracles, or we would not have resqued her so easily. She was taken to send the kingdom a message, but Tarathiel seems to think that it is not what it seems. I was pondering that perhaps this lich is awaiting something... The Captain parleyed with it, only to discover he was not overly intent on invasion, though should he choose to do so, now would not be such a horrid time. The four thousand dead soldiers who lie at the bottom of the main harbour for example, would make esteemed allies to this lich." The minotaur sat in a nearby chair, it creaked under the weight, but did not break.

"Why kidnap the Orcale, only to let her go so easily?"

This lich could have gotten hold of a prophecy, used Meilikki to set off a particular chain of events which would evetually lead to his growing army. He didn't like that thought.

Depending on the spells he was usung to keep her stationary, if he did it right and she did not move, he would have full access to her powers. Control them. What Meilikki sees is different day to day. She can see the same things over and over again. Years into the future, days, minutes, or watch as events unfold. If she remebered something then he could have simply...fast foward her memory. And view all he needed. This was why he did not like to leave her side...but he could not disobeye a direct ordere from her. And then the oder had turned ut to be uselss in the first pace. He let her go because he has what he needs

"So the future is static and there is nothing that can be done to change it? The Earth Mother really does have a divine plan that none can evade?" Warhammer asked somewhat emotionally, if it could be called that. More like, a growing concern in his voice. Part of Tarathiel's existance was solely based on the fact nothing is predicatable.

No. Divination is...not so simple. There are plans for some, but few are ever very clear. It is based mostly on knowing people. Meilikki knows that at some point you will be faced with a decision. Life is all decisions. She knows the different paths, but can usually discern what path a persona will take. It is not so much reading the future as accuratly predicting it, reading the poeple who are walking the paths. Some are better than others. Meilikki is exceptionally good at it.

This is why she gives vauge answers when possible. Her answers would influence decisions, thus taking away the freedom of choice, and making life redundant.
