Nuclearwinter yo_momma117 Yes I know what pinning does. Although those tests in my opinion are hard to fail. yeah, he's pretty much correct on this one. most armies have extremly hight leadership so pinning is almost useless, for example: Tyranids- syapse so they're fearless Guardsmen- lowest is 7 but they get officers to buff it up easily space marines-lowest is 8 but any vet sarge or captain buffs it up. (not to mention the "they shall know no fear rule") necrons- all Ld 10 eldar- you can't hope to shoot at anything cause it's too damn fast. witch hunters- don't get me started... orks- they get a mob check so they almost never fail. chaos marines- same as Space marines so pinning really has no purpose. well after a while of battle squads suffer from morale loss so then pinning does heve an effect

Andreis Tau tanks are Skimmers as well, and can never recieve a penetrating hit if they move at least 6" a turn in one direction. I thought moving MORE than 6" for a non-penetrating hit was the rule?

Other than those ones, I haven't really had a problem with the whole pinning thing. So, in my opinion, that is a bunch of hub-bub. rolleyes

One of the Tau playing staff at the GW where I am said that he has a lot of fun using 6 man teams of steath suits, 2 of which have fusion blasters. Good Idea? Also, Which are better in any/all aspects, broadsides or hammerheads?

Also, Which are better in any/all aspects, broadsides or hammerheads? IMHO, they're about even. They both have advantages/disadvantages that balance them out. Due to its "skimmer" ability, and submunitions round, the hammerhead makes a better anti-infantry weapon (pieplates, YAY!). Also, with an AV, its more likely to survive than the broadsides. Though they do sport an impressive save, I can kill one with a lasgun. On the other hand, a sqaud of broadsides make for a better anti-vehicular unit due to the number of railgun shots they can spit out a turn. Also, being smalwer, they're slightly more maneuverable than the bulky hammerhead. So, in the end it comes down to what kind of a unit you want. A fast infantry hunter with a good AT gun, or multiple AT hunting cannons.

Also, Which are better in any/all aspects, broadsides or hammerheads? I think that's a silly idea for the Stealth Suits because it dilutes thier anti-infantry power. Either run all with Burst Cannon or run a three man team with two fusions. Honestly, I think the Fusion Blaster upgrade just isn't worth it on Stealths, since it puts them in even more danger with a shorter and makes them less effective against infantry. (EDIT: Just realized that you can't have a three man team with two Fusions. Only reinforces my point; Fusions on Stealths suck. ) Broadsides and Hammerheads fulfill different roles. Broadsides are good at hammering Monstrous Creatures and tough vehicles from a single position, and aren't very maneuverable at all. Hammerheads are more maneuverable and sport a better anti-infantry gun. It all depends on the synergy of your forces and the enemy. If you have ways to get anti-tank to the back line or are facing lots of multi-wound/high toughness/tank enemies, Broadsides work just fine. If you don't have mobile anti-tank or are facing lots of poor save infantry or a close-combat oriented force then a Hammerhead will work better.

Babbalui Yes, but collectors items are always more expensive. Do you see where I am going with this? wink They are not collectors items twit. Not until they are no longer produced. Marco Colombo or Inquisitor Lorr are collector items as only a limited run was made of them. The old stealth suits are still produced, seeing as the molds are still as good as new and mail orders can always be taken. It's the same with the old Imperial Guard range, no longer in the spotlight but still easy to order or buy.
