Ugh. Quoteth the holy tome of the imperium,
"the combat shield does not count towards the maximum number of weapons carried"

So, you can stick the shield on either arm, and he still has two free hands.
So you could give him a power fist in one hand and a storm bolter in the other if you so wished. However, You cannot attatch a storm bolter to a power fist, so you cannot make a dodgy weapon.
And before you argue about the ultramarines captain... Those are ONE OF A KIND weapons. They're also DAEMON weapons.
Hah, at least I can admit to being chaos.

Be patient.
1- it should be in the painting thread
2 - opinions are optional
3 - just because of your impatience, i'm not commenting on it.

Nice conversions, wonderful paint job. All I can suggest is something to make him stand out when compared to other HQ units, right now it looks fairly basic, other than the eagle on his power pack and helmet.

Well... I was unable to get a better picture that was closer. My digi cam sucks. xp

But I thought the lantern hanging from his Bolt pistol was a nice touch and his ornate bolter as well. I was thinking of doing some fancy patterns on his helmet.

Anyway, I did a points cost on him... comes to 255 points! I was shocked really. xp

The Council of Ultramar is not run by daemons. New information given to me by someone who actually WORKS at Games Workshop.

So that means the Ultramarines do not unknowingly work for the forces of Chaos, and the Imperium's finest warriors are not secretly controlled by Chaos.

I have also with me a valid reason why the Imperium do not ally with the Tau or Eldar. On account that the first encounter with Eldar included an unprovoked attack from the Eldar. And the Tau are seen as a threat because of the border issues.

Then there's the issue of the Emperor. Don't believe in the Emperor, then you're a heretic. The Tau and Eldar don't believe in the Emperor. That's another reason why there's the conflict.

Look, any conspiracy theories can be explained with proof that's right there in front of you, instead of heeding some rumour that has no background.

Distrust and Religion. That's why the Imperium doesn't ally with the Tau or Eldar. It's the same with today's world.

Then again... the rumours of the Inquistion being in secret control of the Imperium is possible. I mean... there's rumours of an Illuminati controlling our government.

The Tau may be expansionists, and the Eldar may be arrogant snobs, but the reasons the Imperium doesn't ally with them lightly have less to do with rational looks to the past and more to do with religious dogma about "traitorous xenos." The Imperium hates all aliens. If a bunch of the Tau all suddenly decided that the Emperor on Terra was greater than the Ethereals and tried to defect to the Imperium, they'd be told, "That's great. But you're still xenos filth." Then they'd be shot.

Rogue Traders or Imperial Scouts could land on a planet full of peace-loving hippie monkies with a set of extra arms, and when the scouts came back talking of the lovely xenos' concept of not fighting, and maybe occasionally
cooperating with other races might be a good idea, the scouts/RT would be executed as heretics, and the planet would either be cleansed of xenos by some Space Marines/Imp Guard regiments, or be subjected to Exterminatus.

Pipes and implants. All nessercery for the basic Space Marine. Humans don't need implants unless they have some sort of bionics. And some people on the battefield have actually got their sanity, some know when to retreat.

Good point. But the part with the Emperor is also a problem. The main problem as I see it is distrust. And a basic Nazi attitude. Not human? Kill it.

I can perfectly understand the Emperors hatred for aliens.
Every time something happens to humanity there is an alien race ready to plunder and pillage the humans that remain. When the warp storm first hit Terra and left all the Human colonies broken apart and alone xenos came out of the wood work to take advantage of it, enslaving billions of humans to do work. (If the Eldar are so nice what did they do when this happened?) The Emperors first crusade was to reunite the worlds of humanity; he had to free many of the ones he came to from aliens. Then right after the Horus heresy everyone had to pull together just to keep out all of the other races trying to take advantage of the weakened state of the Imperials. If I was him, I wouldn't let alien races live to long to take another whack at my empire. (The Tau are really evil in disguise, just to let you know and they would love to plunder Imperial planets of the "Greater Good" if they got a good chance.)

Can you say Imperial-surpression-everyday-killing-chaos-just-because-of-religion-and-hippies-not-to-mention-tau- for-wanting-to-have-room-to-build-on-and-orks-because-they-like-mudwrestling?

Basicly: It is war, everyone is doing wrong stuff and extinction of races is something else then retaliation and destroying of enemies
