Do any of you guys believe in superstition? Bet all of you have heard about the Curse of the Great Bambino eh? well I don't think there is a curse. Some say the reason why there was a curse was because Babe Ruth who played for the Sox had gotten traded. It's was a flopsided trade though, the new coach of the Sox that year needed to pay off some dues and so on so he traded Babe Ruth to the Yanks, boy did that trade alter history and all of it!
But since we are doing so good, I'd thought I would post why many people have figured that the so-called "curse" has been broken:
1. In August while batting Manny Ramierez hit a kid on the head with a baseball by accident(don't worry the kid is okay) and people started to think that curse had been broken.. why? because the kid had lived in Babe Ruth's old house!
2. The last time the Sox have ever won the World Series was in 1918, right? and that was what? 86 years ago, yep. Well if you do 1918 plus 86...you get...2004! Which makes many fans happy since we are doing so well and we are so close to winning!
so, that's something to think about. All I can say is... COWBOY UP!
Lunar Eclipse tonight and when it happens and if the Sox win.. boy, tonight would be one amazing night. YEEHAW!
