I didn't name my tenor yet, as I've only had him for a few weeks now and he's broken ish. Poor unnamed tenor.

Last week, I had the chance to preform with a saxophone ensemble that was over forty four saxophones,(Had Sopranillo, Sopraneo, Soprano, Alto, Tenor((Woot)), Bari, and Bass)) it was amazing! I never want to play with a full band again!
Sorry for misspelling the first two saxophones ahaha.

Terra of the Lilies Banana stickers are metal Terra of the Lilies XxKatieKatxX I play alto. I would love to play soprano but the school doesn't seem to have one. I had third chair last year as a freshman and I am the only girl in my section. * represent* 3nodding I named my sax Yam, anyone else name their babys? (sorry if this has already been asked) Actually, the saxophone section this year is outnumbered by girls. xd Three guys, five girls. Whoo! xd
As for naming my saxophone, I can't think of a good name. :[We have about an even number, but I'm not sure about next year, a lot of people are quitting. crying As for the name of my saxaphone; I named it ElBoboOrevillewaterlooOuthouseIII. razz (I made it long to confuse my classmates.) I hate it when people quit. That's what made our 8th grade band so tiny last year...9 people...:[ Combining with horrible 7th graders is not fun.
That's an awesome name. xd I'll probably come up with one randomly while talking to a friend after I've had chocolate or something. xd I know!! My head band director is a complete idiot, too! Thanks, I came up with mine thinking really hard while I had a brain freeze. It hurts but it helps me come up with thousands of awesome names like: FrancessGuenneveresirSock, and JaniceBitbopIII.

I might play Bari for Jazz Band come fall/winter. We lost our first tenor (who was AMAZING, by the way. we're gonna miss him... crying ), which means our old second tenor (who's also AMAZING, but he's a senior now.) will be first, and our bari player who originally wanted to play tenor will be playing 2nd tenor. Which leaves the 2 first altos, who will stay where they are, most likely, and us 2 second altos. The other second alto player is a(n) [insert profanity here], so I'll probably end up playing bari just so I don't have to fight with her. Or I just have to school her really bad in the auditions. I think I might go for the second option. I just wish I had my mouthpiece right now....

Hey, any tips for playing a C sharp? Mine has been really out of tune lately- DEATHLY out of tune. Which sucks, because our opener has tons of C sharps.
Thanks!

Thanks! Did you check your ombeshure? Or how hard your blowing? There also might be a clog. You should take it to the shop.

Well, try to move your embechoure around, and if that doesn't work, try to add a little bit of key with it. Darn saxophones and our out-of-tune notes! xd

I play tenor most of the time, but our band is cheap so they won't buy marching/pep parts for us this year so I have to switch back to alto... I'm sad. crying Noted by the sad crying face.
