Rin had to restrain her excitement a little. "We've never had anyone with that kind of magic here at Legion. You realize it's a lost spell casting form, don't you? Only certain nobles from ancient civilizations mastered that form of spell casting." she said shyly. "You two must have enormous untapped power...or you were both nobles in an ancient civilization in one of your past lives."

"Lost spell-casting form? Cherry and I just learned from reading some books our mom had," Chase said, rather confused as to what Rin was saying. "If you want to look at our books, I guess I can show you. Cherry and I used to read them when our mom wasn't looking. She always hated when we read those books. She called them tomes."

Rin nodded matter of factly. "That makes sense that you would learn it through books. I hear it takes a lot of energy to use writing spells. Ancient civilizations didn't have any other way to heal their people from battle quickly. Using quills and other writing utensils, they were able to create the writing spells. I'm not surprised that people have written about it."

"They must have been quick writers," Chase commented. He still wasn't sure why writing spells were a lost form if they were written down. Maybe it was simply because very few understood how to use them? Or there weren't a lot of those books anyways. "Anything else you want to tell me about the ability to use writing spells? Are they inherited? Or do random people get them?"

Rin finished her coffee and shrugged. "There's not much said about this kind of spell casting. If I were you I'd find everything I could about it in books and learn from those." She stood up and put her coffee mug in the sink. "I'm not sure if it's inherited or not. I know the actual spells and how to use them is probably learned externally. But the ability to use them is most likely inherited." She said softly, giving a little smile to Chase. "I'm going to get dressed now." Rin headed off to her room with Elsa.Leo smiled. "Who knew there would be more to your spell casting than you thought." he said with a small laugh, wondering what Chase was thinking at the moment.

"Yeah, sort of odd," Chase said. "I wonder what it was my mom knew. I mean, like I said before, she hated when Cherry and I read those books. She was actually always secretive about magic and predictions." He remembered the first time he and Cherry told their mother about their predictions. She had looked scared as she yelled at them to stop joking with her.

Leo gave a small smile and stood, placing his hand on Chase's shoulder. "I'm gonna go get ready for the day too. I'll be back and keep you company in a little while." he said softly, making his way downstairs and into his bedroom but he could hear two sets of breathing. "Raki...are you still asleep?" he spoke softly.

Raki shook his head. "No. Can't go back to sleep after my ear's been screamed off," he said as he turned to look at Leo. "Asher went back to sleep. He doesn't seem to be having any more nightmares, though."

Leo smiled a little at the screaming comment. "Good. I-I don't mean to be rude but.....I need to get dressed so.....would you mind leaving please?" he asked as politely as he could but there is only so many ways to tell someone to get out of your room in a nice way.

Raki managed to wriggle out of his brother's grasp and headed to the door. "I'll be back to wake up Big Brother, then. He's been asleep too long," he said before stepping out. His phone suddenly rang, a very important call. Looking around and making sure he was out of earshot, he answered it.

Leo smiled as Raki left, closing the door behind the boy before he started to take his clothes off and change them out for fresh clothing. He was about half dressed, wearing clean pants but no shirt for a moment. Leo sat on the bed next to Ash and gently shook his shoulder. "Ash....it's time to wake up." he said softly.

Asher groaned as he dragged himself out of his slumber. "Ugh... What time is it?" he asked, almost missing that Raki wasn't there. "Where's Raki?" He tried to sound as calm as possible, but found some difficulty. A ton of scenarios regarding his biological brother's disappearance floated through his mind, but none of them seemed logical. Leo's lack of panic also indicated that nothing had gone wrong.

Leo rubbed his brother's shoulder a little. "You can calm down....I asked him to step out so I could get dressed. He's probably grabbing breakfast upstairs." he said softly as he heard Asher's breathing increase a little rapidly. "You feeling okay?"

Asher relaxed a little. "For the most part. I don't feel so worried about Raki," he said. "These nightmares, though. I shouldn't be having them. At least not now." He would understand if he only got such terrors in the past, but having them after finding out Raki was alive just seemed ridiculous.
