And it was awesome, until Aymet danced a little too hard and the majority of his tail snapped off and went flying across the room still swinging to the imaginary beat. Aymet immediately clapped both hands behind him under his cape and tried to assess the situation. Why now, in front of Sibyl?? "That's never happened to me before, I swear," he explained to the selkie with a nervous laugh, glancing in the direction his tail had gone. What was going on with him tonight? He never felt this weird around a ghoul before. Maybe he'd feel better once he went and got it. "I'll be right back." HP: 25...?

Don't apologize. Riley answered quickly, her eyes flickering up to Malodore, before returning to the ground. None of this is your fault.
She gave Amrita one last look.
Neither is it hers.
Whether the mindflayer blamed herself for her own death was left unsaid.
Let's go.

Well Nergui didn't seem insulted, so that was a plus. The corner of his mouth curled up in a crooked smile, and he flashed the horsewoman a pleased look, clearly satisfied by her answer as well. Things were going well, on that front -- coming to prom, he would have never imagined he'd be walking away with what could potentially later be a date, certainly not with a ghoul like Nergui. Part of him wondered if perhaps she wasn't disillusioned, and that later would find him to be... well, a little difficult to deal with. Amrita was a sweetheart to think he was gentler than he'd implied, but being one of his best friends, and someone he would protect with his very life, she was also quite biased. She'd only really seen the more tender part of him. She hadn't... she hadn't been there when he'd gone home. Almost unconsciously, the skinwalker reached up to touch the scars marring the tattoos at his throat, his demeanor darkening a little at the thought. He'd contemplated not coming back at all... but he'd missed the place. He'd missed her, he'd missed his friends, hell, he'd even missed the stupid classes and the jackin' teachers.
Well, at the very least his clothing was pretty spot on. The fact that he was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt underneath his suit jacket was pretty spot on -- she certainly couldn't imagine him to be too debonair, not with how he was dressed.
Chancing a playfully annoyed look at Amrita for ruining his street cred, Nuk's expression lightened considerably when the horsewoman claimed the next dance, a grin replacing his previously dark thoughts, clearly thoroughly pleased. Taking the undead ghoul's hand, he shot Nergui a wink over his shoulder before heading towards the dance floor, offering 'Rita his arm. They had only just made it onto the designated dance area when the chandalier fell, and Nuk's eyes widened a little as he found Christof beneath it. What was going on? Just faulty wiring? Blinking, he nodded as his dance partner apologized, pressing a hand to her lower back, urging her towards her date.
"No problem Itty Bitty, you go check on your man," he teased a little, offering her just the hint of a small smile, hoping to cheer her up.

Once Alex had returned from his brief stint helping with cleaning up the glass on the floor, he was finally able to reply to Sal. "I'll admit, even though I did spend a week on the Isle of Famine before it..." well, he probably shouldn't get into that right now, lest the reminder upset the horseman. "Before we came back to the school." He finished that sentence before continuing on. "But I don't think I met any Sages while I was there." He finished, giving Sal a warm smile, finding that he actually liked having conversation with him, and that he actually reminded the zomboil a lot of several members of his own family, oddly. And again, Salbei had to go and mention how he and Taryn had helped them out, and it was slightly embarrassing. If he didn't have his hands full with his hat full of glass shards, he might have shoved them in his pockets and looked down to scuff his feet against the floor. He felt like he aught to protest, or say that he had probably been more of a hindrance then a help, but he kept his mouth shut on the subject, and just gave the horseman a nod at the explanation of the promise he said he still intended to keep. Alex still cringed inwardly a little at the mention of Taryn being his 'pretty little filly'. They were just friends, that was all! Though a small opportunity did come up where Alex could correct this small misconception, and he grabbed a hold of it. "My boilfriend" He said, though then wondered if the horseman would even understand what that meant. "His name is Yin Cang but..you know, I can probably just find him fine on my own." He waved away the offer to help with a reassuring smile. It really had been quite a while now since he had parted ways with the weremantis, and he was feeling a little badly about it. He let out a chuckle of his own at the thought of what the two of them might look like with Alex perched upon the others shoulders, and holding his hat in one hand reached up to run fingers through his black and white hair with the other. "I would love to stay and dance, I really would, but I feel like I've left my date to his own devices for long enough, now." He explained, before taking a chance to finally move away from the duo, shuffling along through the glitter covered floor in socked feet. "It was nice to meet you Taima." He gave the ghoul a small salute with his free hand before giving the horseman a nod and finally turning away. --------------------------- He still couldn't find his shoes but he felt like maybe finding his date first would be more important. Before he could even do that, however, he found himself a trash bin so that he could overturn his hat and empty it of it's glassy contents, tapping the top of it a few times and giving it a good shake before flipping it over for inspection. The light still glittered off of the small shards and dust that were left behind, but he wasn't too bothered by any of that so he quickly placed the hat back atop of his head before turning back to the room at large and scanning it quickly for a certain weremantis. It took him a while to actually spot him, and when he did a wave of guilt washed over him, as Yin was standing alone near a wall, seeming like he was watching everyone else. He felt like he shouldn't have left him alone for this long, and like it had been rather selfish to have done so, so he quickly (for him) made his way towards the other boil, still shoeless. "Hey!" He said, trying to sound cheerful as he approached, coming up to Yin from the side and sliding up next to him, hand reaching up to touch the other boil very lightly on the back, before he caught himself and let his arm drop down to his side. "I'm sorry I took so long. I uh...kind of got distracted. I also may have lost my shoes...." Enoh Love Just the top part of the post XD sorry for rushing away! Inle-Roo sorry for rushing away ;; More Rp sometime, please!

The hug was quick, but Jericho didn't hesitate to return it as Riley came in. Stepping back, he nodded to her and Malodore. He'd wait here for them to come back.
Right now, poor Amrita was really distressed. With a frown, he looked towards her, not really sure what to say or do for her.

Aymet's tail flew off, she heard the audible pop of it disconnecting from the boil's body. Sibyl stopped dancing and just stared. "Um..okay! Do you need help, Aymet?"

"Hey hey- HEY!" Enzo jerked (thankfully) off of Aramis's shoulder, gazing indignantly to the horsewoman that had punched him, his hands suddenly raising defensively, "Crazy dame, I was just showin' my appreciation, thanks! Jeeze-" He rubbed it with a snort, attention swinging back to the pink-haired ghoul. "I live it, Pidge! Thing is I can't find a partner that can move fast enough," He huffed and jabbed a thumb over his shoulder to the frustrated Mjoll storming off behind him, "They get some music back up, we could give it a spin? Or I could get The Boss in here to lay a beat? How much you weigh?"

Yin was being a wallflower. Which actually worked perfectly well for him. He was well out of the spotlight, and he was learning quite a bit just watching. Oddly enough he had not helped with the broken glass, choosing to just continue standing on the outskirts of the group. Apparently something that looked like the creature they had needed to put down was here, and he occasionally cast a glance toward it just in case this one did something crazy as well, and he needed to help...control the situation. A couple of boils were having a bizarre little fight off by themselves, and he could not help but think of several moves which would have been much more effective. There was of course dancing, and while some of the moves still made no sense to him he also felt that he could possibly pull a few of them off. His attention was pulled away when Alexander approached, and he partially turned to give him a smile before flicking his gaze back out to the sea of students in front of him. A ghost of a touch was at his back, snapping his attention back to his boilfriend even as it disappeared. "It was not a problem." The more surprising turn of events would have been if Alexander had done something speedily. Then he frowned, glancing down at the zomboil's feet. "You removed them? Can you remember where? I shall assist you in finding them."

The sudden kiss to her cheek startled her, her head turning sharply to stare wide-eyed at the Igor, and then down at his hands. She knew he was trying to say something to her, but for the life of her nothing was coming to mind; no recognition for the gestures, save for an annoying tip-of-the-tongue feeling. Unable to decipher something she knew well, she instead looked toward the next voice to call her name; Malodore, who was explaining the situation in something her brain could understand; the common tongue, her first language.
"...Oh." Was all she could think to say upon hearing the explanation. So it was real, it did happen...and then it was undone, somehow. It was a relief to know she wasn't malfunctioning, that her memories were real and intact. Whatever the Boogeymen had done, they had reversed something horrific, and though it had obvious consequences. A sideglance was cast towards Riley - now leaning on Jericho - and a whole new hurt welled up. Malodore was helping her, Jericho was still doing his part, even in his Insanity...and there she was, too stunned to even say anything tangible, nevermind go near her.
If she felt this bad, how did Riley feel...?
"I-I'm s-sorry..." Amrita breathed out again, her voice still trembling. The ghoul's shoulders slumped, her arms dropping to wrap tightly across her stomach. Her gaze fixed on the floor, staying completely put - partially out of embarrassment and partially out of real hurt - until the majority had left. When she and Christof were alone again, Amrita leaned against the Igor, turning if she had to to bury her face into his musty patchwork jacket. Yet, she still held herself as tightly as she could.

Christof gave a small noise in his throat, nodding to Malodore as they took their leave. As Amrita leaned against her, he wished he had a tongue in his pocket. All he could do was wrap his arms around her gently, giving her back a quiet pat. She needed time to recover. They could talk about it later. After a few moments, he shuffled back, holding up the rope once more, for her to see before pointing to the slightly-reassembled chandelier, patted his chest and pointed to the catwalk up above. He made a quick mime for "Dropping" and then pointed to her and pretended to catch something invisible. With a weak smile, he made a gentle pulling motion before finally gesturing to the device once more.

All she really wanted was the hug he gave her; the gentle pats on the back were merely an added bonus. Before he shuffled back she had recovered just enough to loosen her arms around herself, briefly and weakly returning the hug.
Now that she could think somewhat clearer, Amrita could decipher what he was saying; though it was probably also in very much layman terms as far as signing went. "O-okay." She murmured, taking the rope if she needed too. The patchwork ghoul started shifting lightly on the spot and waiting patiently for him to go about his business. As she waited though, a very distinct, very uncomfortable feeling came over here; something she hadn't experienced before.
It was telling her to leave. Now.
The room felt smaller, the people felt doubled, and overall there was a feeling of claustrophobia she just couldn't shake. With a shudder she handed the rope back to Christof, shaking her head slowly.
"A-actually, I...I can't. I just...s-so sorry. G-give me a m-moment...?" Without waiting for an answer she turned, moving hurriedly away from him and to some place her mind deemed quieter.

He was glad that Yin didn't appear to be upset by his prolonged absence, and also that he wasn't getting berated like a scareling for losing his shoes. "Yaaaaaa, I did because it was actually easier to dance without them, especially the type dance that I took them off for." He admitted with a grin, glancing down at his own feet as well. His socks were completely covered in glitter now, and one of his skeletal toes was peeking out through a hole. "So I was on the dance floor when I took them off, then I sort of just kicked them off to the side, and haven't actually seen them since." This was probably a bad thing, considering he needed them for work and had spent what little money he had left on buying them. Really, at some point Alexander was going to learn to be more responsible and look after things, but apparently that wasn't going to start today. "They might have just gotten kicked around a bit by people who have been walking or dancing by, and there are so many people here I just haven't been able to spot them yet." He didn't actually sound too incredibly worried about it, and what with the chaos surrounding the broken chandelier, which appeared to be cleaned up completely now, it was very likely that they had just gotten pushed to the side somewhere and might be easier to find later when the crowds dispersed a little bit more. "So, did you get a chance to visit with anybody?" He asked, trying to get off of the subject of his shoes. He actually thought it was far more likely that Yin had gone over to check on Princess Eva instead. Actually, it was quite surprising that Yin hadn't made the suggestion that they go and do that yet. Well, he'd give his boilfriend the benefit of the doubt, this time.

Things had settled down and the Prom was starting to get back on track. Among the chandelier drop chaos somehow Mei had gotten separated from Eisheth. The Horsewoman wasn't under the chandelier so she wasn't hurt or anything. The ghoul twirled around, trying to see where her date had run off too. Being short as she was it was....really hard to see over everyone's heads around her. Mei hopped up and down a couple times as she did a few spins to see around the room once more. Was that Mitzi she saw? It had been a long time since she'd last talked to the Reaper. Perhaps they could do a bit of catching up. And if another good dance song came on they could relive the time they had gone to the club. After a few more good jumps, she put her hands on her hips. Puffing out her cheeks and pursing her lips. A light tinkling sound coming from her person as she moved about. The pieces of the chandelier were clinking together but no one seemed to notice. Mei had already concocted a plan on what she was going to do with them. But there was a more pressing matter. She'd lost track of Eisheth.

Sheridan had looked to the commotion with a raised brow, tail twitching lightly behind him. Was it possible to do anything here without someone destroying or blowing something up? Apparently not. "Refreshments sound like a good idea." He smiled at Tess, offering his arm to lead her toward the tables where various foods and drinks waited.

"Christof is Amrita's boilfriend." He followed the Igor with his eyes, talking to Needle in a detached observant manner. "He punched me on Scarentine's!" It sounded like a highlight of his year by the chipper tone. He continued to follow and saw Amrita then, as well as what looked the like the dead mindflayer SC President. Huh. Well that was interesting! But who was he to question or ask? He barely knew any of them really. When he turned back to Needle she was fretted, fearfully parted from his arm. "Oh no.. no it's fine." Truth be told there were probably a few bloody dots on his dress shirt but he had a decent pain tolerance. He felt it, sure, but he wasn't one to cry out or fret. "It's really fine!" Muka giggled and took her hand across the distance, squeezing it reassuringly and tangling their fingers comfortably. The bodily contact was as much a comfort for him as it was for her. Most people didn't let him be as affectionate as he'd always liked to be. "I lost track of your sister though.." He giggled and now peered around for Petro's hair again. "We can dance again now that its clean!" His body thrummed with internal coos of glee.
