Magnus paused. No one had ever asked to actually read them before. "Actually, I don't think I would mind that at all," admitted. He was honestly curious to see what other people would think of them. Though....Lady Death herself reading them. He had to admit that was a little intimidating. But his curiosity was much stronger. He paused for a moment. "Er, do you mind if I sit next to you?" He asked, surprising himself. He wasn't sure what had made him ask, but for some reason he was drawn to her and not just because she was willing to read his work.

Magnus walked up slowly and sat down next to Shira. He leaned over and looked at her painting with her. He could tell she was appraising it. From what he could see it was a well done painting. Though he was certainly no art critic. "Er...perhaps you could draw your family standing on the castle?" He offered, hoping it didn't sound like a stupid idea. "After all, paintings don't always have to reflect perfectly what is but also what we want it to be."

Magnus gave Shira a small smile. "If I may, why paint them "correctly"? Why not paint them as your mind sees them? Perhaps you will learn something about how you see them?" He paused for a moment, realizing his own creative side was coming out. Something he'd never shown to others. "Er.." he quickly looked away, a slight blush on his face. "That is...if that's something that interests you. Some people certainly prefer realism."

Magnus smiled again when he heard Shira respond. He realized how pretty she looked with a smile on her face. "Ha, well if I were a painter I would be the Picasso of stick figures," he replied sheepishly. "Though I agree. Art is often where new ideas begin. I always..." he trailed off. If his father found out he was talking about such "fanciful" things as art and writing with Lady Death he would be very disappointed. He could hear his father now "You had the opportunity to speak to Lady Death herself and you talked about such childish things? Why not tell her of your great skill as a Meister? Or your excellent marks in your classes? Something a true Lady of Class will be impressed with." A small frown came over his face at the thought. He knew that's what he should be doing, at least according to how nobles were raised. But somehow he had found the conversation taking its own natural course and unlike many of the "Ladies of Class" he had spoken with, he actually felt comfortable with this conversation. Still....maybe he should try something like that....?

Magnus paused for a moment. Should he....? He took a breath. No, no he didn't want to give this moment up. "No, I'm fine," he replied. "Yeah, but I bet they were the best stick figures to walk on a page," he added with a smile. "I bet you drew what you imagined back then too."

Magnus laughed as Shira told him her story. "All's well that ends well then," he replied. "Your mother sounds like a sweet woman. I'm glad she supported you. Your father's fascination with symmetry is well-known so I suppose I can't be too surprised. But even then he supported you in it. You do sound like a close family."

Magnus looked at her as he heard her response. It certainly wasn't too affirming. "I'm sorry, was I wrong?" He asked. "If so I apologize. I can certainly understand. My parents can be.....hard to get in contact with as well.....even when they're close by." He forced out a reassuring smile at Shira before looking back towards Death Castle. "My mother and father are both very busy. I don't believe we've even celebrated my birthday in 2 years now."
